My 2011 Yukon XL with 175,000 miles has been through a jillion automatic carwashes. It looks as good today as it did when I installed it. Messed two doors up, still had the tape, put it on and there is no difference between the 2011 tape job and the 2021 tape job on those two doors. Question - Isn't there a clear layer on the tape that must be removed?

Hey Arturo, I have an Alpine White E89 BMW Z4. I had the roof and mirrors wrapped in red. Having watched your video I'm going to apply some 3mm pin strip along the body line along the bonnet (hood), door and about 4" into the rear wing. What's your thoughts?
I want to do this to the top half of the rear defuser and the 2 slanted corners on the front fascia will the process you showed work on those locations seeing that there is some big time curves on those locations , i got everything needed to do this but will the heat gun make the points of the curves blend in properly?
I was thinking the same, doing the diffuser on my Lotus but I think the sharp angle change would necessitate cutting the pin stripes on a beveled angle and tying in with a new piece
Will it damage the car if you desire to take it off before say selling it? Is there a factory OEM set that has this done already? You can add this to the outer perimeter of custom or even factory floor mats white around red or red around black
Isn't it illegal to have red reflective tape on the front of a vehicle? I thought only white was allowed on front and amber on all sides and red was only allowed on rear of vehicle. Please someone elaborate on this. Thank you.

those vinyl stripes are extra sturdy and don't come off easily. downside is if you try to take it off after a year, it may leave residue depends on the weather conditions. as times goes by it becomes worse.
Nice job but if you can afford a C8 corvette then pay a professional stripper / air brusher to paint them on . Vinyl pinstripe is fine for your daily driver
Then you pay twice. Once for the professional install, and again in depreciating your car by harming the originality. Stick with stickers for these very personalize mods. No one wants what you think is cool.
Must not care about your card paint job. I would never use a rag or sponge that touched the ground on my cars paint. What happens if you get small rocks stuck in the rag and rub it across your paint?
guess you can't go thru car washes any more. stuff drives me crazy. it'll come off easy here and there. but if you want it off it will leave impossible glue all over.

I did this to my charger along the body and on the mirror with the two pinestripe and got rt hask marks on it too
