Thank you to www.sandyeggodesigns.com/ for sponsoring this video. I love the seatbelt stays, they work perfectly! Today, I will explain 5 things or actually 6 things that you should know before you wrap your C8 Corvette, and this really applies to all cars. These are all things that will make a sizeable difference when deciding which company to use. Have a wonderful day everyone! Great info! 1. Regarding the issue with the seat belts i had the same problem in my Ferrari 355 and again in my C7. The new GT2 seats for the C8 addresses this issue supposedly. We'll see. 2. Front Grill guards - excellent idea! 3. For those of you without a garage the outdoor CARCOON works very well. I would recommend it even with a carport. 4. Invest in a really good hail cover when parked away from home! I heard they work great.
@@BrinkofSpeed lol oh just wait until I finally confirm my order. I'm still debating colours. I want to see the new silver so hopefully you'll be able to fire me some pics when it's out. Not too many C8's to look at in my neck of the woods yet.
As to the seat-belt "situation," the C7 has the same setup/problem. Well said as to wrapping a C8, whether viewers like yours or not, the bottom-line is that's amazing in not only it's design, but in the engineering involved with coming up with it, to say nothing of what's involved with the installation. These high-end wrap installers now have to be pretty much top-notch mechanics as well in that the cars have to, or should be torn down for a true professional install. Love the leaf-guard hack. One has to sit back and say, "Why didn't I think of that!?" Brilliant! All sound advice Mike. Save the Wave🙋🏼♂️
Peter Carey Yeah, it was starting to get on my nerves and my wife’s nerves. I was happy to receive the seatbelt stays for sure. I thought you would like the leaf guard trick, my follower Jose Flores came up with the idea and walked me through how to do it. 😊
#7, base on my experience in Florida, a partial wrap like yours will burn in over a long period of time, the wrap protects the clear while the uncovered section degrade. So take the wrap off 5 years later and the lines where the wrap ends will be visible in the clear coat and may our may not cone out with paint correction/compound.
Thank you for the tip on the screen. I am picking up my C8 tomorrow and that is the first thing I am going to do. But first I am going to look at other screen-type options. Those radiators are crucial to performance and radiator dents are so ugly. I wonder if there is a measurable difference in total airflow volume that may immediately affect performance as a result of installing a screen in the vents. A screen will provide a certain amount of resistance to the airflow and may also provide an excuse for the manufacturer to deny warranty coverage in a catastrophic failure. I am just kinda thinking out loud here but I wonder what you guys may think. Your car is epic with the wrap.
Air flow could possibly come into issue with the screens. On building louvers insect screen can reduce air flow by as much as 50%. So , how much air flow reduction is acceptable?
Thx Mike. While I don't plan on wrapping my vette, this was great information. I have the seatbelt holders on my c-7. Got tired of the seatbelts popping out of the holder. $20 well spent. I like your wrap because it's cool looking & unique.
Some people just love the attention that wrap provides. The police will really notice you more than the standard colors and for sure the C8 gets lots of attention all by itself.
Thank you for the information most informative I'm still not crazy about the ramp and will tell you it's starting to grow on me stay safe only good things to you and your family,
Happy Sunday afternoon Mike, enjoyed the video regardng Captain America. BTW, anyway of installing the gutter grates on the C7 ZO6 without taking off the front bumper? Blue skies, Jg
amill1563 Yeah they look good and function well. I didn’t put any in the side intake because I really don’t think that radiator is gonna take on rocks. I’m not sure.
Your car is pretty but I am only going to cover impact surfaces. For the heat exchangers I am zip tying rock guards behind the grills. I’m going with metal like the screen over muffler. The front panels in front of the heat exchangers can be removed and replace as you can see the splitter installation. You already know why you need rock guards. I had an experience with the AC condenser on a Honda Odyssey that were not covered by the manufacturer even though they came behind me buying a condenser and made a rock guard part of the part of the grill. Honda said, “Not my fault!” We didn’t design the the grill to protect your AC or radiator!
Yeah, that is true, however with the C8’s, they had been sitting in the plant parking lot for almost a month before they hit dealerships, so I’m sure that counts for some of that time. Thank you for your kind words and support sir! 😊
Great FAQ on the Wraps, I'm going to refer this to customers who plan to wrap. Good call on the intake screens. They need to do that for the side inlets too. I fear stuff will fly in there and create a mess.
Also, make sure the wrap company you use is not cutting against your paint!!! When you go to remove it and your paint is trashed.......that sucks bad!!
you don`t have the articulation to do a good video , you put me to sleep, but did make good point about someone taking your new car apart , a lot of fasteners could be broken. I can live with the factory look.
Articulation “the formation of clear and distinct sounds in speech”. His articulation puts you to sleep? Your condescension makes one wish you spent all your time asleep.

Michael Grossi I can’t wait man, I bet that silver is going to be sick! What part of the world are you from?
@@InPursuitOfLiberty Oh cool, so are you a hockey fan? That's awesome that you are a fireman, thank you for risking your life to safe others!

This was a really good video I’m going to hv my C7 wrapped and u open my eyes to things I didn’t know. Thanks😃👍
Dennis T Awesome, I’m so glad you got to watch this before you had your C7 wrapped. 😊

The Chief designer of Corvette said on those front grill very important to keep air flowing is aware of the rocks.

Parham OBriant Yeah, I don’t think it will be at all because the screen holes are big enough to not make that an issue but I hear what you’re saying.
Morning Doo also attracts dirt. But sometimes I make a protein shake with morning doo.
amill1563 Lol 😂
Just 💩 it.
Morning 💩.
Dew, do, doo

Great video. I was clueless about what all is entailed with getting wraps. I will save this video for future reference.
Craig Jackson Thank you, you’re welcome. I’m glad it helped you understand what all is entailed with a wrap.
Awesome product. When my c8 comes in this summer I'm order those seat belt assists! Great product!
Jonathan Brown I agree Johnathan, they are great.
I like the mesh inserts. Did you say they are also in the side intakes? I wonder what the Testaronni guys did.
amill1563 Yeah they look good and function well. I didn’t put any in the side intake because I really don’t think that radiator is gonna take on rocks. I’m not sure.
I learned a-lot from today's post .Excellent information .keep it up
Salem Mohamed Awesome, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Will do 😊
How much did it cost?

Thank you 😊 Yep, make sure those radiators are protected. It always blows my mind how I manufacture won’t take responsibility for their screwup’s.
Excellent information very well presented.
Alex Pocs I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊
How about the paint curing for 30-60 days before wrapping your beautiful new C8? (or any new/freshly painted car for that matter).. Great video!

Corvette World Rob Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it and can use it. Yep, those screens are going to save the radiators for sure.
Thank you for this great advice
Dorsey Bruce You’re welcome.
Loving the look of your c8 the more I see it. Thank you for your fine efforts
Jonathan Brown I’m glad you are loving it and you’re welcome my friend. 😊
Very informative on UV effects Mike👍🏾
Weed Stick Thank you, I’m glad you liked it. 😊
What sunglass are those.
That was some great information
I’m glad you found it useful.😊
Wow! Looks great, but mucho Demerol!
John Lambert Thank you 😊
The screens would restrict the air flow.....I wouldn't install them
Remember when I got my c7, the guy at 5 minute oil change said they couldn't change my oil because they never changed the oil on a c7 before 🤣
You don’t need to disassemble a car for every wrap, only for a full color change wrap.
WHAT Iis meant by the word too wrap your car.
Earl Rogers Jr ?
Also, make sure the wrap company you use is not cutting against your paint!!! When you go to remove it and your paint is trashed.......that sucks bad!!
Had to watch vid at 2x speed.
Just put it back in

My attention span wasn’t long enough to get through all 5 things
Clown car!!!
it looks like a cop car. not cool
Leonard Palmer You’re kidding right...???
The take-a-way: DON'T WRAP YOUR CAR!
Absolutely Not👎
