Pinstriping brushes are uniquely designed to allow you to pull a smooth, consistent line for a long duration, without having to stop for more paint. On top of that they use special bristles and ferrules to insure the bristles stay with the brush, not in your work. The handles are shaped for a better grip and to allow tighter curves and corners, too. So stop beating your head against the wall, trying to stripe with the wrong brush, and order the correct ones from Eastwood.
Besides pro quality brushes from Mack and Kafka, we also carry the Beugler Pinstriper tool. I don't care what they are doing, it could be decorating a cake, but watching a master craftsman work is amazing. I can't comprehend how he's laying down perfectly matching stripes, with nothing but hand eye coordination, fascinating to see.

I'm 17 and have been learning basic auto body for a few months now, not an apprentace though my own place so that has let me get alot of painting and practice done. After I nail all the basics I'm gonna start and try learn pinstriping. Love lowriders man and art in general been drawing and painting forever

I met Rick Harris in Nashville back in the 90's. He showed me how to do lettering and striping.

In this upcoming school year I'm going to be a Junior in high school and I'm going to be taking an auto collision course at my local community college. Plus, I'm actually trying to find a place in Califorina that teach airbrushing and pinstriping, but I couldn't find a place yet. It's something I'd like to do when I graduate high school because I like to draw. I also know what paint job I'm going to do for my 1978 Dodge Tradesman 200 as soon as I get the van, a job to pay for the equipment and my license. I'm going to paint it matte black first before I do the flame paint job I'm going to give it.
Get all the dvd s you can and teach yourself.

What should I use to wipe off the one shot paint with on my gas tank I am pin striping if I make a mistake? I used turpenoid a turp substitute and it softened up the clear coat underneath. The clear coat had dried for 48 hours already, and seemed to be plenty dry. Scared to death lol. Practicing on the back of the tank before going on to the front. Thanks for the great videos
This is super and all very well, easy on the horizontal , but not so easy doing on a vertical surface such as a truck door or panel .......with a drooping brush ........
Has anyone ever used water based paint for pinstriping? Specifically Createx paint?
What was Rick striping on? A vinyl sheet? This would be useful to practice on.

Great video set. Wish I had a steadier hand for this. I do however want to lay down a 3/16" pinstripe to divide a two tone paint job I did on my son's El Camino. I was wondering if I could use a 3/16" stencil and air brush the 1 Shot paint on?
Probably be easier to pay someone that took the years to learn it probably isn't gonna hurt the wallet that bad

Look up a product called Finesse tape . Lay-out tape for painted lines.

He uses an old surgeons rolling table that he's had for over 30 years, you may be able to find something on ebay

Kafka brushes blow mack brushes away. you dont need to turn the brush like macks to scroll or make loops.
If you're right-handed this affair will still go to the outside right?
Did he wipe that panel down with thinner or dewax?
Not sure what others use, but I usually use regular degreaser 👍

Lol! I tried. Fattest line u ever saw. Now, I understand u drag it. I forgot the paint on the other hand so I got excessive amount of paint. Phew. It's all about not getting affected by failure. Next time u do it differently. Actually fail on purpose makes u relax and not care.
