Bike packing the Trossachs Glens

Another quick overnighter on the fat bikes. This time we headed north to Callander and bike packed over Glen Ample & Glen Kendrum and came back via the NC7 & Glen Ogle (including the viaduct!)

Thanks Kris! The weather is I think on the turn so maybe this weekends cold blast is the last and some warmer weather will be forth coming!! Gear wise there's a lot of ways to skin a cat and no rights or wrongs in my book . Bike, tent, cooking/food stuff sleep system and clothes really sums it up to be honest.. you can spend a fortune but you don't have to.. at least not for non-middle of winter camps where you do (IMO) need to spend a bit more on mats sleeping bags/down jackets etc . Good luck!! You'll have a great time when you do it I promise!! - ATB Tom

Peter, it's a great bike and mine is it's old brother... There's lighter fast bikes out there if course but for the money I feel it was worth it ... Obviously you could bike pack with my more nimble bikes and cover more distance but we're in no hurry and we do on occasion find ourselves completely off road or boggy terrain and this is where the fat bikes come into there own!!
