What I've noticed with Tate is that %70 of what he says is a joke or something to get people's attention then once he has everyone's eyes and ears he's almost like a different person like here he becomes punctual with well thought out sentences that explains his viewpoints perfectly

But if you look from a biased POV because you greatly dislike the man (which I think is the case here) your mind will immediately go disingenuous instead of actually taking a moment to think and process what is being said and then actually form your own opinion instead of blindly following "the haters" if you will.

Tate was specifically talking about using group punishment to train a group to hold individuals in check. It's like if the government raised the income tax every time a single citizen did something out of line. Eventually you would have vigilante communities going so far as to murder and dispose of troublemakers just to avoid the higher taxes. This has happened before. And it helps to suppress the rebellious tendencies of an oppressed society.

I think this brings up the great conversation between the difference between what is good and what is thoughtful. Thoughtful acts and speech keep in mind the feelings of the person/people your addressing, as much as some people doubt it, people's feelings are important as if you word your address wrong the person may become pissed off and after that your actual rational points will not be heard. The Good acts and speech are what a person needs or needs to hear under the guidance of your personal morality. If we can balance our address between the good and the thoughtful then there's no reason rational conversation can't happen (obviously super extremist of an opposing view point will be the hardest to do this with)

  • @57208
    @57208 ปีที่แล้ว +45

It’s interesting because that “water” in the analogy represents classical conditioning, or the psychological training of humans and animals to conform to certain rules via a punishment and reward system. Yet for this conditioning to carry its full effect one must face the consequences of their “improper” actions and truly reflect on their behavior, and more importantly the punishment that this behavior elicits. But now, that punishment (the water) is mainly conceptual (with the exceptions being the victims of “cancel culture” serving as examples or a reminder of the hose). So it makes you beg the question of whether or not more and more people will test the limits, as they’ve never been “splashed”, only warned. I see this as a great thing for the progression of individualism within obvious parameters, a sort of rising against the conformity agenda of our “trainers”. I’d love to hear anyone your thoughts.

@@warsolos like, almost any point he (and to be fair, a lot of other people) is making. It's because he doesn't ask himself why certain are the way they are, and if he does, it's usually pretty surface level. It's ok (and sometimes even good) to have opinions about certain topics, but simply saying that something bad because you don't like it, is just reductive.
Let's take his opinion on vapes for example. He things that vaping is bad, and I agree with him on that. No shit vaping is bad, it's adictive and unhealthy, but instead of asking himself why people vape, he just jumps to the conclusion, tells everyone how stupid vaping is, and that's it. If he was someone with more deductive reasoning skills, he'd ask how in the same vein, people start smoking, drinking, taking drugs, etc. These things are bad, and it's not hard to see why they are bad, but if you want people to stop doing something, it helps to understand why people do these things in the first place. Maybe they grew up in a bad enviroment, perhaps they made some bad decisions over the course of their life.
His arguments boil down to "this is bad, because I think it's bad, and if you disagree, you are a weakling". People praise him because he is "defending free speach", yet they fail to see what kind of hyporcrite he is. According to him, if you disagree with him, you must be the wrong one. Does that seem like free speach to you?
It's also the way he talks. I am not saying everyone has to talk like a know-it-all smartass (hell I'd even say that talking like that is useless if you want people to understand you), but he always subtely inserts his ego in there. In this day and age, people look for guidance, and someone like Andrew, who is a type of person so imune to experiencing an ego death, that his whole personality has been embeded as a brand like phenomenon, has an intense influence on his followers.
So how is critique handeled? Well, my experience with his fans was them pointing out nitpicks and either ignoring or missing the whole point of the critique

This is not an analogy. This is an improper re-telling of an experiment.
In the actual experiment, "Cultural Acquisition of A Specific Learned Response Among Rhesus Monkeys", conducted in 1957-
A monkey would climb for the banana but get blasted with air. When another monkey would climb to get the banana, they did try to pull the monkey down from getting it- only one time.
When a new monkey was brought into the cage to get the banana, the other monkeys only looked at them like: "you probably shouldnt do that."
When the new monkey got the banana, it actually helped 2 of the other monkeys conquer their fear to grab the banana for themselves. The conclusion of the actual experiment had the opposite effect of what the improper re-telling of it was trying to get across.

He then drops out of that persona and speaks a deeper truth that the Gym narrative pushers have done their best to shut down and failed. I myself have been in the Men's movement since 1995 and I am about to go back to working with Men who are going through Family Court and do more training as a Clinical Psychotherapist. His message to younger Men is clear, take control of your mind, finances and focus on self development, or what I call deep inner work. To start get a pen and paper and journal, meaning write down whatever is going through your mind and allow yourself to release whatever energy is in your body. That was the start for me in 1994 and I journal every day. Audio journal as well. Make a start in whatever way you can.

On a scientific standpoint, and as an Andrew Tate supporter his point that he makes about the hypothetical monkey experiment is true but contains fallacy, as he continues his point he brings up that overtime the monkeys would be removed and replaced with another monkey who doesn’t know what happens when a monkey were to climb up to get the food but is held back by the others, and eventually none of the monkeys would know what happens when you go for the food due to them being replaced. This is how he proves his point that eventually we lose the ability to comprehend why we shouldn’t do things in society, due to us being held back. While that is true, the monkey experiment cannot be proven because we don’t not know the monkeys abilities of communication, due to the fact that if the monkeys were able to communicate it would explain why they would hold others back, because they can tell each what we’re to happen instead of them knowing at all.

Here in the similar chronology I want to share the same thing honestly, look clearly in which religion he has been converted. Everyone will say I'm being communal but the truth is far bigger than something else. Andrew Tate himself applied that theory and in case of Islam, same thing has been happening. We are told implicitly as well as explicitly, never make fun of Allah, never make fun of Prophet Muhammad, and anything related to Islam.
Even all the tech companies are following that stuff. You can watch jokes, media, humour on Jesus, Hindu Gods, Buddhist Gods, African gods but never them. Whenever someone did, their society has so much intense blasphemy laws that they burn that person alive or stone pelt him whoever does this. We never find anything bad on their religion on anywhere except suppressed people voices. It's like a cancer for whole world.
Look everywhere how their population is growing and they are taking back world to 700AD only. Many African countries as facing mass killings in the name of Islam but as they aren't important countries, no body listens. Constant riots in Sweden, France, India, UK , Armenia, Japan,Greece, and numerous other countries who are on verge on falling apart like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Lebanon, Palestine, Cyprus, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan , Mozambique, Uganda, Rwanda because of influx of strict Islamic practices. I don't understand why people don't talk about or why they don't want to talk about it. Christianity is on its last days. Islamic Radicalism is increasing horribly and already affected Asia and Africa.
Now I warn all of you living in Europe and North America you'll definitely feel these straight decline in 2040s. All the migrants coming from devastated Islamic Countries will ruin your development and make you go back to Sharia laws of 700 AD. Save Earth.

A new monkey would walk in, reach for the banana, and get beaten for it. This continued until every original monkey was replaced with a new monkey. None of the remaining monkeys had ever been hosed with water. Yeah I agree with this, and remember when all this started with Canada and America's political correctness trends back in 2011 and 2012. I still personally go against most beliefs simply because I can and do what I want within legal confines.
The problem is we're punishing those who dont deserve it and those who speak their minds. We're no longer a free nation if we're talking about making it illegal to speak freely or to perform freely.

The only exception I can think of is the topic of race. Not talking about it will improve as dwelling on the past will not help us in the future. We should view ourselves as one race being humans. We dont need race to be a deciding factor in today's society. We should view others as human beings. Not black, white, hispanic, or asian.
