Critical thinking in people is an endangered trait. People these days are COWARDS. Weak-minded, conformist NPCs buy in to ALLLL of the propaganda and nonsense. They have strong emotional reactions to the smallest things, and these control their actions and decision-making. People are broke and in debt, living check-to-check, and yet they pay no attention to or learn the markets, economy, interest rates - basically they are clueless in how the whole financial system works. Despite the fact that if they did, it would change their life and they could make better choices and increase their standard of living. Once again, Tate is right. When you don't' admit you made a mistake _to the persons you erred against,_ you'll smugly decide you didn't make a mistake, so you keep right on committing the same mistake, finding new ways to justify it. Gents, thanks for keeping it real, it is a thankless job. We need to learn and then teach, first and foremost, every single day of all our lives to everyone everywhere, Critical Thinking skills. That right there would automatically put a halt to so much of this BS. Kids learn it very fast. Everyone, look up the Socratic Method.

I think that it's a mistake that anyone needs harmless animals to suffer and die in order to feel satisfied with their diet. They repeatedly eat dead animals and justify it with either ideas they do not know anything about, or with lies.
Erring against someone or doing something wrong depends on what is defined as wrong. I define doing any unproductive, pointless damage (suffering) to anything that can experience pain as wrong. Any definition of wrong that does not include "doing harm" is meaningless.
I bring all this up because in a culture based on taking advantage of others, and justifying it by pretending that those taken advantage of are inferior, it is impossible not to make millions of mistakes every day. Living is a crime in our current world, and we're all in denial of the hurt we cause daily.

Been a minute since I watched this and commented so I have no idea where in the convo you are referring to with your reply to me. So if your vegan advocacy comment refers to something said, you'll have to provide a timestamp.
But in the meantime, I used to be an ovo-lacto vegetarian, though raised an omnivore. I did it in protest of the cruelty humans needlessly commit against animals we call livestock most esp in factory farming. Was a happy camper for over 30 years until my health started to decline and had to return some animal protein to the diet.
Humans are wired as creatures to be omnivorous predators, like bears and birds. Were we the only creatures on earth to hunt for food, the argument against it might be more valid. We are what we are and fighting our fundamental and natural design is to hate one's own existence. You can do that, but it usually ends up inflicting enormous amounts of pain on you and those who love you. So there's that.
Wrong. The definition of wrong can be context-dependent, but what is morally wrong is not situational. Cf The Ten Commandments.
Taking advantage of others. Sounds like you think if someone excels at what they do, while someone else does not, constitutes the "taking advantage" by the excellent of the mediocre. If that is so, answer me this: is there someone out there smarter than you? Is there someone out there dumber than you?
Of course, the answer to both is yes. That is true for all of us. Which means that in some cases, you are the smarter one. In other cases, you are the dumber one. I hope that gives you some perspective.
Hurting others is a part of the everyday existence of all organisms on earth. Tigers must inflict pain on their prey to hunt them for food, to spare themselves being hurt by starvation, to spare the pain of starvation for their own young. Fathers must inflict a brief moment of pain on their children to teach them not to blindly jump into the street without looking. Pain keeps us from hurting ourselves worse than if we didn't feel it at all. Cf Congenital insensitivity to pain, CIP.
Intentional infliction of pain solely to cause suffering is wholly evil. Too many scientists have rationalized doing exactly so on humans and non-humans alike. Cf Dr Mengele, Unit 731, René Descartes, Dr Anthony Fauci. I look forward to the time when technology makes conducting painful vivisection obsolete such that scientists and lawyers no longer use it to protect themselves from any lawfare over unintentional harm done to consumers and patients.
If you are intentionally hurting others daily, stop.
I strongly recommend putting God in your life, for many reasons. Christianity comes the closest in my view to discouraging causing harm, to encouraging making yourself a closer match to Jesus Christ and how He lived according to God's laws. If that suggestion offends you, ignore it.
Paz y salud. 24-09-11, may the harmed and wounded of 911 have peace.

      @justanotherhuffy1560 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@uppityglivestockian Thanks for taking the time to reply. I respect the level headedness and thoroughness of your reply as well.
That being said, it takes a lot of cognitive dissonance to both believe that a God who loves ALL of his creation, and one that created a good creation, also created it so no one has any choice in whether to hurt others.
If there is a creator, they created this world to test us, they didn't create it as some perfect thing that we ruined. Because if God were all knowing and all powerful he wouldn't let us ruin anything permanently.
Second point is that just because something is the norm for us doesn't make it right. We just might be living in an extremely corrupt world. In the same way that a kid in an abusive household in an underdeveloped country might think that everybody is as cruel as their parents until they get out into the world, we could easily be falsely assuming that this is the only way it can be.
Lastly, and this kind of comes along with the second point (we don't live in a perfectly designed world), if everyone were to stop caring about hurting anyone society would fall apart. I say this because rhetoric like "everybody hurts others in order to live" often has the effect of making people give up and become selfish. You are absolutely correct in saying that, currently, it is impossible to live without having a horrible effect on something else alive- not even just other animals. It is impossible for everybody to be successful the way things are now, and failure in an unforgiving world can mean lots of suffering and death, if you don't have money to combat an illness or to put a roof over your head after paying for an illness. However, without anyone with hope for a brighter future, or a good heart, or a loving nature, things would be bleak and pointless. The fact that empathy will always have a place in a functional world is indicative of something bigger and more important than just existing and winning at life.
Also, gotta say I've been upset with the way the world works for quite a while now. I still don't hate my existence. Never have. I try not to hate anything with a soul or experience (try being the key word). It's not conscious experience we need to get angry with and fix. I aim to only get angry at the things that can be changed. Not hate, hopefully, just anger. Hate is forced upon us, in my opinion, and has no rhyme or reason or explanation. Anger can be very productive and focused on the other hand, as long as it's not done in complete ignorance.

How so? I ask because I call a coward someone who actively harms other beings because they are afraid of love, peace, and kindness. In that sense cowardice IS cruel.
But most people, especially tate, equivocate cowardice with emotional vulnerability and not being tough enough. In that sense it is not cruel at all. Victims (who are not tough and are vulnerable) of all sorts of horrible situations are taken advantage of by cruel people. But the cruel, lying, cowards are at fault. Not the victims that many label as "cowards".
Sidenote: toughness is a necessity in a cruel world. It is not a virtue.

Are you talking about lack of time or money? If you lack money, you need more time dedicated to what you're good at. If you lack time, then you might be working too hard at your job. There is zero, I repeat zero, virtue in working hard at your job, which will be automated in a few years, anyway. I can’t recommend enough everybody do the bare minimum at their job (still treat your co-workers kindly.) If you feel like you can't get away with that, there's your problem.

No not really, all it takes is that mindset, if you're smart it's so powerful and so different from the way everyone else operates that you just start rising like a balloon under water.
You have to be absolutely fearless in all your decisions; if you ever find yourself favoring something out of a fear of loss, you immediately beat that down and take the opposite action.
It's hard sure, but a starting point is trying it as much as you can muster courage for. Try that for a month and see the difference. I can't logically explain how I got some of the benefits I started getting when I began thinking that way; it's almost supernatural, like the universe really likes those who think that way, if I weren't an atheist I'd say that right there is God, because I couldn't rationally explain how I was still alive and thriving, it just looked like incredible luck to me.

I think the problem (at least from a young man’s perspective) is that I find it absolutely fucking infuriating that we are expected to make the first move opening us up to 100 percent of the rejection. It’s like “well , if you’re going to be a pussy asking me out, why tf should I have to?” Idk if anyone can relate but it’s ultra fucking annoying that guys that aren’t rich have to approach 1000 women hoping 1 is the right one. It’s bullshit. More men need to stop simping and force women to cater to us as well. Have them face in some of the rejection as well. It’s a shitty feeling, and it isn’t fair that only one gender is seemingly societally expected to take that on

I was just like the people who HATED Tate, it was because he was telling me to do the things I wasn’t and self conscious about not doing. I wasn’t in shape, I ate like shit, I was too emotional and hated a bigger figure telling me what to do. I did the same thing to my father before he passed. I regretted that and will for the rest of my life. Now that I eat right, exorcise and focus on my career I see things differently and I see what he’s talking about clearly. I still done follow this guy hardcore but when I listen to him, I see what he’s telling.

Every man is born a coward. It used to be that all of us went to war at 18 and were combat veterans before we were 20. That tended to eradicate cowardice. Most of us are not tested in life or death situations at any point in our lifes.

It’s not exactly cowardice then, is it? If you’re financially independent, then the threat of being fired and ostracised is no threat as it’s not a problem to you, so there’s no “bravery” there. It’s like calling someone a coward playing Russian roulette even though you know you’ve got blank rounds, and the other guy has live.
