How Hard is it to put the Roof on my Cobra?

- I drive my Cobra to Goodwood for PistonHeads Sunday Service, December 2017, and after giving my friend @VT_SV a ride and short drive in it, it starts raining. So I find out how hard it is to put the roof on my Cobra. Note: I did put the frame on back-to-front as this was my first time.

There was one of these by me, in the exact colour and very similar reg iirc. Good few years ago now, probably early 2000's.

What's it like to drive with the top up, is it still fun, or just a last resort ?. Also is it dry, and what's the head and shoulder room like? I'm thinking about buying a Cobra but I want to able to drive it occasionally with the soft top up, something that isn't really possible with my Westfield as the visibility and room in the car is not at all enjoyable.

To be realistic, if I were gonna spend a couple hundred thousand on a car, and i am very aware of the fact that this is what the cobra is all about, but I would get power steering and a removable roof at the minimum. The fact is and this is true of most people. I am not used to driving a small car with a big engine that has been described by almost everyone as a death trap and the scariest car ever made

Keep the fans on they look great. I here your engine is better than the ford V8 . Also it sounds fantastic. You might need a hardtop for next winter.
Yeh the Chevy V8 is meant to be more reliable, and coming from a TVR that sounded like a good choice.
Having had both a SB Ford and a SB Chev I wouldn't say there is any difference in reliability. Parts are cheaper for the chev but maintenance is a doddle on both.
Okay, but you can't really base it on 1 example of each.
Well I've had 3 different Ford's v8's 2 Windsor's and a Cleveland 1 chev and 2 Rover v8's. Didn't see any difference in reliability of the engine.
Not a criticism of the car though very nice.

sorry for my bad englisch, but you've got a fake cobra, there's only one company in the world that have got the licencend from Carrrol shelby to contineous his car en that is Superformance in the USA, al the other company's are fake with those cobra's, your's to modern to be a cobra and al of youre followers don't know what a cobra should be now, i orderd two by them, a 1962 slab side and a 1965 427, that are cobra's !!! enjoy you're convertibale but it's not a cobra, greetings Frank
