In short Nehal is Loki, how you may ask? the ending where they become one explains how Basim is revealed to be Loki at the end of Valhalla since Loki got inside of Basim as Nehal to reincarnate himself, Loki (Nehal) is a trickster and shape shiftier (thats Lokis whole shtick) and made Basim believe they were one in the same just from a "past life", Loki used Basim to set himself free from the machine to fully take over Basim, you can her in his voice and see in his eyes that he isn't Basim anymore (his voice changes and so does his eye colour) explaining why the eagle scratched him on the face because he is now Loki and no longer Basim, what Basim (Loki now) was saying in his dialogue at the end of the game after the scratch is Loki wanting to find Oden and kill him for what he did to him, setting up the events that took place at the end of valhalla, hence why he is in that game because the person you play as in val is Odin, the ending of this game makes more sense if u have completed the entire story of valhalla and even more sense if you played through the part in val when ur in Asgard playing as Odin, hope this helps some people understand the ending more 👍 also explains why this game is called AC Mirage you cant trust what you see its all smoke and mirrors playing you directly into Lokis hands (THIS GAME IS JUST BACKSTORY EXPLAINING HOW BASIM CAME TO BE LOKI IN AC VAL ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO PROGRESS THE STORY AND IS ALSO THE REASON WHY THERE IS NO PRESENT DAY STORY BECAUSE WE ALREADY GOT IT IN VAL!!!)

All I can say about this game is. The gameplay is good. The story however feels like a Valhalla DLC. Also It feels weird that it doesn’t have a present day like the others. Yes some games don’t have present day. But still it’ll be nice to caught up with what’s going on in the present. All well, maybe next year.

@@xdxterx that’s pretty mind blowing. I tried playing Valhalla, but I couldn’t get through it. The game isn’t really A.C, and the combat is kinda dull in my opinion. plus playing Ghost Of Tsushima kinda made my Assassin creed’s expectations higher. But reading that lore really clear things up, so thanks for that. The game seems like fun since Revelations, Still I’ll just wait till the game is on discount. The game prices these days is just ridiculous.
Ngl the only reason I clicked on this video is cuz of how long this video is. And wow super duper detailed it's just amazing and I am happy that I chose to click on this video. I truly appreciate all the hard work all the efforts that were put into making this video for ppl like me. Thank you
Was very glad to go back to a more "traditional" style of AC game, however, I instantly had a downer for me...... why did Ubisoft feel the need to change William Miles's voice actor from John DeLancie's very distinct and recognisable voice?? Otherwise I enjoyed Mirage a lot more than any AC game since Rogue
So if anyone wonders Nehal is representation of loki mindset as basim become one with Nehal he get to remember his loki son of isu odin which was in valhalla but eivor resisted odins mind thats why basim in valhalla ending modern story day was confused about eivor when he walked to her grave as he was ,, i dont know how you beaten me eivor" but then come to realisation that eivor didnt merged with odins mind .
Hey with as much respect as possible the game audio in this video is extremely low I turned up volume to max and could still barely hear it other than that fantastic job, very well done.
Great review of the game! I will say I was a bit confused throughout my own play through but this video made a little more sense to me 👍🏽 even though I loved the open world games, it was nice to go back to the basics! Appreciate the review! Basim
I just hope one thing with future games(playing mirage now)I hope Basim is playable in the modern age and he goes Old School on the Templars and makes them cry and cower out of fear, just don’t let Basim kill Rebecca and Shaun. William, he can be maimed, but not killed as well. Also, the Templar leader of the modern age better have some good fight skills
I will admit I needed this cause playing through the game and not understanding any part of the story especially when half the game felt like it didn’t explain anything until you got to Architect and the Main Villian, We barely touched anything about the disc until the 85% mark, and the characters felt really melded together cause of “Secrecy.” Even at the end it felt like nothing was explained well cause it didn’t fully go into detail about what we are.
Honestly my nitpicks are no modern day progression. No modern day at all. Very little isu, well anything, progression is lacking in the isu story that's been unfolding. It's lacking in where we are to go next. I'm left with what was the purpose of this story/game and where are we headed. Also there wasn't very many historical characters, and none that were notable or memorable. Those are my nitpicks and gripes, over all just a good game.
I feel the same man. Good gameplay, but they did nothing with the world. It’s like they want to bring us back to the good old days of AC, but forgot the gameplay was only half of what made it so memorable. I kept waiting for some mind blowing revelations regarding Isu as well as why William Miles felt like learning about Basim was needed, but him talking at the start of the story feels more like bait now with no payoff.
Theres no modern day because it has nothing to do with the modern day and is literally just a backstory on how Basim came to be Loki in AC Val imma copy and paste my comment so u understand the point of this game and the ending - In short Nehal is Loki, how you may ask? the ending where they become one explains how Basim is revealed to be Loki at the end of Valhalla since Loki got inside of Basim as Nehal to reincarnate himself, Loki (Nehal) is a trickster and shape shiftier (thats Lokis whole shtick) and made Basim believe they were one in the same just from a "past life", Loki used Basim to set himself free from the machine to fully take over Basim, you can her in his voice and see in his eyes that he isn't Basim anymore (his voice changes and so does his eye colour) explaining why the eagle scratched him on the face because he is now Loki and no longer Basim, what Basim (Loki now) was saying in his dialogue at the end of the game after the scratch is Loki wanting to find Oden and kill him for what he did to him, setting up the events that took place at the end of valhalla, hence why he is in that game because the person you play as in val is Odin, the ending of this game makes more sense if u have completed the entire story of valhalla and even more sense if you played through the part in val when ur in Asgard playing as Odin hope this helps some people understand the ending more 👍 also explains why this game is called AC Mirage you cant trust what you see its all smoke and mirrors playing you directly into Lokis hands
I would have liked at least a short intro cutscene of Basim remembering his past or getting into the animus or some other explanation of why we are seeing all this
My sound didn’t work for the dialogue in this game so that was pretty whack, and I met a few game breaking bugs where I had to reload my save - but I gotta say I dug the story. Really love the Islamic culture they’ve shown!
Nehal is a prisoner as such.. like her mother Juno was.. but has control of the computer as Loki did in Valhalla.. and Nehal is Alethia (Angrboda) Juno (Hyrrokin) daughter.. And she upgrades him with the memories of her lover.. Loki. Nehal is not Loki. She's not Basim.. she's Alethia (Angrboda) But has been overwritten.. like a program. She's changed him into a Loki. Nehal is basically the woman in Atlantis. She also can send herself anywhere through technology.. like the staff of Hermes. In Odyssey and Valhalla.
I just finishen the game and Saw this video and now I’m subscribed😅 Thanks. I have two questions though. 1. Who did the governor aka. Muhammad make a deal with? 2. In Ac. Valhalla the ending - modern storyline Bassim was talking about Aletheia. What does he want ? I know question 2 is impossible to answer but what do you think. Do you have a theory? Thanks. 😊
is this order of the targets the version that makesm ost sense naratively beat the game already but felt like things were disjointed and that maybe there was a better order
the biggest plot hole in this entire story is that no one said anything to Basim about how there is no one named NEhal?!?! the story presented it as them basically growing up together, but Basim never found it strange that no one notices Nehal next to him at all? No one speaks to her except him. Even playing through the story I found it strange in the beginning where she just disappears and comes out of nowhere.
I don't think throughout the story Basim even mentioned Nehals name to any of the charcters? Yeah it's a bit odd to be honest, as he'd look like a mad man talking to himself.
It's baby brained writing at it's finest. You can clearly see how in this game they just wanted to give a cool fight club plot twist and started with that ending and worked backwards from there to think of anything coherent to write about.
The Tyler Durden angle is obvious as shit after the prologue. Nobody discusses a two man team, someone else being there, etc. Low-hanging fruit to pick for a plot twist.
Pray we get a Dlc for it As it’s by FAR my favourite AC story and game since origins (and best combat/stealth since Unity Imo) Although I want a sequel to origins more than anything in this kind of format, I pray we get a DLC for this game or even Roshan as they have a lot of potential
The speeches before going to assassinate heavily remind me of Persona 5's calling cards, yet they do everything wrong that persona 5's calling cards do right.
Good video recap. I liked the game, just wished it would have ended with a lead up into Valhalla, like when Basim meets Eivor brother (forget his name). I think he comes back with him from one of the raids....could be wrong but non the less just would have liked some connection to valhalla.
I really enjoyed your video it was an excellent explanation of events. I have played Val it's one of my favorite games and all the open-world games from Assasins Creed. I was confused in some areas of the game and this put it all in perspective. I read one of the comments between the two arguing about how bad the game mechanics were yes it's true there were some areas in the game where the combat felt clunky some of the cutscenes were a bit weird with the textures but overall, it was very satisfying for me it put Basims past life to rest and I feel good about it also the two arguing about Red well I had to agree with one of them I to had read somewhere that Red and Hexe were going to be open world and I'm perfectly fine with that as I love open world games I did play the beginning games of AC and I enjoyed those but I stopped after Black Flag, until Origins and Odyssey beautiful stories and memorable characters. Great games for me!
I wish they would go back to the voice actor they used for William Miles in AC3. I dont know the voice they have in this game and im not even sure its the same voice as Origins
Not trying to be rude, but what's up the the sound quality of the game play? I can't hear anything the characters are saying or doing hardly. Are your videos usually like this??
.. depends in game play and mechanically the story seemed boring to me they said it was off basim from valhallah but meeh I'd have to check out the game for me to see if really like it. Its called DJINN "gin"... also he hasn't been around before valhallah they
01:06:15 call me crazy but hear me out i don't remember it well but i'm sure there someone named basim in the very first assassins creed if it is then could that person that he was standing beside with is altair(the first main character of assassins creed)?
Spoilers: not possible, as in AC Valhalla, Basim is defeated and locked away in The Gray by the Yggdrasil, until he is freed in the present day. AC1 takes place during the Crusades in 1191. Basim was locked in The Gray during 870s-2021
Everyone is too hyped over Mirage. I love AC and mirage is a good game but they could've done so much more with it. It is way too short. I mean, before I knew it I beat the game. And yes I know there's a game play plus and that's ok, but I expected more.
That's a terrible storyline everything was just so that part of him from a past life could be reunited with himself that's so lame I can't believe I just watched this whole video just for that to be the plot twist that is such a bad storyline, I just don't understand why the Creed didn't want him to find out Karma and I don't know if I missed it but what was the point of The Hairpin from the auction
I loved the video. A great run down of everything but maybe a few less ads. I know you need ti make money It's over an hour bruv and I got an ad every 5 minutes. I'm adhd as hell and tried to watch this and tidy up as like a nice story to listen to and watch on the go.... nope 😂 felt so disconnected
Thanks mate. TH-cam placed them randomly so I didn't choose to put them in so often. I'll see if I can go in and separate them out a bit more. Glad you enjoyed it!
@_Wizzo I absolutely loved the video. As an ac enjoyer it's nice to hear it like an audio book with personal effect. The detail was spot on. At the end you said you didn't finish valhalla lore: SPOILERS INBOUND: In the time of the isu "loki" "odin" "thor" etc were isu and used the isu computer to upload themselves to be resurrected at a later date. Enter valhalla and by the end we learn that Eivor is the reincarnation of odin and Basim is the reincarnation of Loki. Loki tried to trap odin in yggdrasil for revenge for trapping his own son and the way he and his family were treated but was bested and was put in yggdrasil himself where he doesn't wake up again until layla at the end of the main valhalla story line goes to yggdrasil with the staff and frees basim onto the staff (the staff is a reincarnation is lokis wife) and he is free. In the final dlc Desmond miles father talks to basim inside the animus and asks "what's next for basim" indicating he knows basim is a character to be referenced to but loki is the main isu. Miles asks for a blood sample for the memories of basim. This brings us to mirage where miles is living out lokis early years to try and figure out what the damn hell is going on here and what lokis agenda is. Loki is trying to find his kids while also tearing down any other isu that gets in his way and the tormentors that freed him from where we saw at the end of mirage and tortured him. Edit: they all uploaded themselves because of "the great calamity" or "ragnaork" or whatever you call it. Its a massive solar flare from the sun that wipes out all isu apart from a few in labs to stop the solar flares for future races. Enter Desmond and the whole juno arc creating a forcefield around the earth using the built isu tech to protect it but slowly cooks it like a microwave but frees juno. Juno was dealt with in a COMIC BOOK 🤬🤬
It's all make Sense Loki is not real person Basim Is hallucinating which means in the past Some people hallucinate Made a character Loki but life is a lie its just a imaginary Friend a kid has is a loki Wtf

@@xdxterx thank you for the explanation. I have a few questions . Is it possible that basim was actually Loki in a Past life as he is the only one who can see nehal and he see nehals actions as separate from his own even tho he did all those things himself? Why didn’t RoShan or the brotherhood just tell him of the dangers of entering the underground chamber so that he could properly assess the problem with going down there? Why did they allow Loki to remain in the brotherhood?
@@RoBrinks basim was his own person up until loki took over he was never loki in a past life loki used basim for his own personal gain and manipulated him into believing nehal was himself in a past life also for the end of ur question loki is a trickster, manipulator and shapeshifter just to name a few things hence y no1 in the hidden ones ever suspected a thing exactly like what he did to basim the only one who knew it wasn’t basim was his eagle because the eagle had a connection and bond with basim not loki thats y he smirked when it happened properly thinking “i can trick everyone else but not a bird” and if ur wondering the reason everything is normal after the end of the game and you go back to the city is because that part of the game puts you back in time b4 you have killed the leader of the order ubisoft has said that themselves
@@xdxterx idk bro I’m watching more videos for clarity and it shows that loki killed heimdall to enter the sage program meaning that he is reincarnated through different beings in history . He then reincarnated to become basim meaning that they are the same being just as eivol is Odin. He just hadn’t realized his reincarnate form as sages are born with their own personalities and bodies. Going down into the temple just allowed him to regain his memories
@@RoBrinks you right don't listen to other person loki never took over basim they are the same person all basim did was become whole again and regained his memories of his previously which is why they showed them being merged Valhalla Narrative director explained that sages cannot take the host bodies its up to the reincarnation to accept or reject their memories from the previous life
Some part of me knows they’ll give this the bayek treatment and forget they made an interesting character they could continue. But some part of me still hopes for another basim game. I really want to have basim realized he was being tricked and that basim was a seperate entity Loki leeched on to. Some part of the old basim is still in there I think, I don’t think he lied to William about liking the creed if not being a believer
I dont understand the hate for Valhalla or Odyssey. They are great games, and way better than this. Mirage was such a mediocre game, from traversal and combat to the story.
This is just a terrible Assassnin's Creed game. Somehow I never cared about any of the plotlines and had no reaction to any death or twist... God help us all

@@WolfDragon6000 i cannot say i would hated it. I really enjoyed valhalla for whar it is.
But i am greatful that theu remade bagdad it looks very beutiful
Its not supposed to progress the story its just a backstory explaining how basim came to be Loki in AC Val thats also y there is no present day story imma copy and paste my comment so u fully understand this game and the ending - In short Nehal is Loki, how you may ask? the ending where they become one explains how Basim is revealed to be Loki at the end of Valhalla since Loki got inside of Basim as Nehal to reincarnate himself, Loki (Nehal) is a trickster and shape shiftier (thats Lokis whole shtick) and made Basim believe they were one in the same just from a "past life", Loki used Basim to set himself free from the machine to fully take over Basim, you can her in his voice and see in his eyes that he isn't Basim anymore (his voice changes and so does his eye colour) explaining why the eagle scratched him on the face because he is now Loki and no longer Basim, what Basim (Loki now) was saying in his dialogue at the end of the game after the scratch is Loki wanting to find Oden and kill him for what he did to him, setting up the events that took place at the end of valhalla, hence why he is in that game because the person you play as in val is Odin, the ending of this game makes more sense if u have completed the entire story of valhalla and even more sense if you played through the part in val when ur in Asgard playing as Odin hope this helps some people understand the ending more 👍 also explains why this game is called AC Mirage you cant trust what you see its all smoke and mirrors playing you directly into Lokis hands
I've enjoyed the game. I have nitpicks but that's all mostly.
Except Havi did. At the end of Valhalla
@@nimbusnimbus.IV. havi is odins name :3
Odin isn’t Loki’s dad.
Very nice presentation, well done! 👍
I will admit I needed this cause playing through the game and not understanding any part of the story especially when half the game felt like it didn’t explain anything until you got to Architect and the Main Villian,
We barely touched anything about the disc until the 85% mark, and the characters felt really melded together cause of “Secrecy.” Even at the end it felt like nothing was explained well cause it didn’t fully go into detail about what we are.
So thankful for this video lol haven't played it yet but was too anxious and needed to know the story and lore lol
Exactly @atamsarchadian
There were a ton of historical figures. Just because they’re not as recognizable as Da Vinci or Caesar doesn’t mean the game didn’t have any.
My name is Viktor Reznov and I will have my revenge
Nehal is definitely a “Qareen” it’s a type of jinn which accompany every human which is like a double of a human
She's not Basim.. she's Alethia (Angrboda)
But has been overwritten.. like a program. She's changed him into a Loki.
Nehal is basically the woman in Atlantis. She also can send herself anywhere through technology.. like the staff of Hermes. In Odyssey and Valhalla.
Hell yeah, save me $40, brother. 😂
Thanks. 😊
Ubisoft: lets make the next game like the old ones and be realistic
Also Ubisoft: lets make the main character a reincarnation of Loki 😃
is this order of the targets the version that makesm ost sense naratively beat the game already but felt like things were disjointed and that maybe there was a better order
Mirage, gave me vibes of Spec ops The Line a bit, once it touch the ending
Appreciate the effort you put into this video, but the sound needs to be louder on a lot of the gameplay clips.
Basim
Hey I really enjoyed the vid. Great work dude
the biggest plot hole in this entire story is that no one said anything to Basim about how there is no one named NEhal?!?! the story presented it as them basically growing up together, but Basim never found it strange that no one notices Nehal next to him at all?
The dude just self pollinated
Not trying to be rude, but what's up the the sound quality of the game play? I can't hear anything the characters are saying or doing hardly. Are your videos usually like this??
I wish assassin’s Creed goes back to action adventure open world, instead of RPG style video game
Great vid. Make future videos louder please.
Good work
How does this tie into Loki story through Valhalla I’m so confused
Thanks sir
.. depends in game play and mechanically the story seemed boring to me they said it was off basim from valhallah but meeh I'd have to check out the game for me to see if really like it.
Its called DJINN "gin"... also he hasn't been around before valhallah they
Lay off whatever you´re smoking.
@user-gm5zr6rc5r wow I got iPhone thumbs hold on
Personally I feel that odyssey black flag and ac 3 are peak assasins creed
Ubisoft have a big problem. They won't lets players on the side but also the real franchise fan have nothing to be very happy..
What are you talkin about?
Which platform is this footage captured on?
PS5
Dudes like, “thank god we pay more for less content. It was getting difficult to form an opinion on it being able to beat the game in a day” 😂
Loki is basim so where is Thor's reincarnation? Is there one?
l just dont understand why the order wanted to go In the cave what is the point.
They knew it was an ISU artefact. That's reason enough
I can't find the mysterious shards went to the location and couldn't find the person is it unlocked after a certain quest?
It's the Nehal quest. They're scattered around the whole map
Meant to be inspired by altair and enzio trilogy.....and final fantasy 7
01:06:15
call me crazy but hear me out i don't remember it well but i'm sure there someone named basim in the very first assassins creed if it is then could that person that he was standing beside with is altair(the first main character of assassins creed)?
Spoilers: not possible, as in AC Valhalla, Basim is defeated and locked away in The Gray by the Yggdrasil, until he is freed in the present day. AC1 takes place during the Crusades in 1191. Basim was locked in The Gray during 870s-2021
@@stiigeri yeah now that i've think about it i think my comment is kinda dumb and also there's no one named basim
Why did Roshan fight him. What was her reason for not wanting him to open the cave.
Fear. The unkown is a great motive.
Everyone is too hyped over Mirage. I love AC and mirage is a good game but they could've done so much more with it. It is way too short. I mean, before I knew it I beat the game. And yes I know there's a game play plus and that's ok, but I expected more.
I liked this more than valhalla
That's a terrible storyline everything was just so that part of him from a past life could be reunited with himself that's so lame I can't believe I just watched this whole video just for that to be the plot twist that is such a bad storyline, I just don't understand why the Creed didn't want him to find out Karma and I don't know if I missed it but what was the point of The Hairpin from the auction
I loved the video. A great run down of everything but maybe a few less ads. I know you need ti make money
It's over an hour bruv and I got an ad every 5 minutes.
At the end you said you didn't finish valhalla lore: SPOILERS INBOUND:
In the time of the isu "loki" "odin" "thor" etc were isu and used the isu computer to upload themselves to be resurrected at a later date.
Juno was dealt with in a COMIC BOOK 🤬🤬
thanks for saving my time brother, horrendous game.

Some part of me knows they’ll give this the bayek treatment and forget they made an interesting character they could continue.
But some part of me still hopes for another basim game. I really want to have basim realized he was being tricked and that basim was a seperate entity Loki leeched on to.
