Thanks little buddy! This old man was stuck like chuck until I found your video. Much appreaction!!!
Glad to help!
Thanks for the video as it all fell to pieces when I opened it up and also spotted the problem will just by another but nice to see how it goes together thanks
good vid. i striped 2 teeth from 2 different gearsin a 2056 traxxas servo later on upgraded to the 2075 servo. keep up with the vids
Thank you for showing me how to build servo
Helped a great deal. Thanks!
Great tips, Is your summit a nitro car?
Awesome video champ it helped me ☺
Great video man. Thanks a ton! :)
Good vid, but you can buy pretty decent servos for around 20 bucks these days
How you tighten the bolt at the end matters as well
You forgot the o-ring on the top bearings!
thanks a lot for this video
Just suscribe this video was so helpful great job
I use a lil small paint brush to get the grease between the gears
Cool cheers for this
Forgot a few things, ...clean servo from all old grease, clean gasket and re install, reinstall o ring on servo gear.
Thanks, helped me revise my servo today, cheers from holland!
great video! i was crawling my summit and busted the gears on both servos and i bought this kit to fix it.
Just a heads up I found that same servo for $26.68 on amazon.
what size of that bearing servo friend? and how can you get that?
Silicone grease. White lithium grease should work also tho.
Do I have to actually clean and grease it? I just got it today
the last one worked for two or three full turns .
an the receiver and transmitter are new
How come you do not have the waterproofing seal on your top cover???
Did you put the rubber O-ring in it?
Thanks I'll try that
Alright, if you need more help TH-cam it or ask me. I'll do my best to help :)
The 2075 doesn't run in snow for very long the plastic gears strip out after 4 runs.
You can buy a FeeTech FT5330M all metal servo for like $17 nowadays. Plastic is great if you bash 'em 24/7.
is it supposed to constantly run? just got my car, know nothing about it, but can hear this part constantly running when the car is on and it does not steer at all
can't get my stampede to turn when I try the servo engages and I can see the screw on the bottomed turn but not the white part connected to it...
At hats help me out a lot pal thanks a lot saved me 40 quid
THIS IS COOL
Ya the 2075 is stronger and a bit faster. Glad u liked the vid :)
k it does the turn all the way one side thing like in your other video titled water damage
what grease is that
On the summit?
Just got my Traxxas Rustler two days ago. Was in reverse on my driveway when I quickly went forward with it. Heard a quick grind and now a constant grind. It continues to drive, and turn in both directions but sounds like something is broken and grinding inside. I know nothing about these RC cars. Any suggestions where to start? How to fix?
Find out where the grinding is coming from. The front? The rear? If it's the rear it's probably the transmission which isn't that hard to fix. There are many vids on youtube on how to work on it.
Question:
I have a servo off a helicopter with metal gears. The internals are set up like yours and I swapped them with new gears, however I don’t have servo grease so I used 3 in 1 oil. My problem is the arm is much stiffer to move than my other two servos also when I move my control stick that’s the only servo that doesn’t move and it gets super hot. Do you know of a way to fix that?
Me too
I tried to do that but I just can not rotate the servomoterur in the opposite direction!! :/
You forgot to take the o-ring off the output shaft and put in on the replacement piece. The o-ring does not come with the rebuild kit, so you have to re-use it.
@rustleman16 haha. Ya if u need me to do a specific vid let me know.
my servo is 2056 so not for mine but great video
I’m turning with my receiver but nothing is happening ;c
My servo was moving very slow. I took top off and looked for broken teeth. Nothing. I started moving the gears by hand when I noticed the bottom gear the large one and it was stuck. I could move it with flat head screwdriver but it was tuff. Sprayed wd40 and it freed up. Now works perfect. Hope this helps
If that center gear sheds teeth you can lift up a little and rotate it 180degrees & reuse it if you don't have quick access to parts. It only looses 4 or 5 teeth when it strips. Just make sure you center the big gear with the bearing on it. Turns easy with your fingers. That little raised notch should point straight at the wires. I just fixed mine 10 minutes ago. Works perfect now.
@@Alex-kp2db thanks. I also replaced my reverse servo. It had same issue. It was gummed up to point of hard to move. I guess I didn’t need new servos. But the new ones work great and my tmaxx is back better than ever.
You should use metal even though they are expensive
you forgot to transfer the rubber oring across that sits on the servo gear with out the ring water is going to flood the servo
Dang, I guess he voided the warranty!
My servo gave out the ⚙️ seem find
I need your help
I am getting small movements
My car doesn't turn right as much as it does left is that my gears or no?
Adjust your steering links or even your servo horn/servo saver.
CHECK THE GEAR ON THE MOTOR PINION AND CLEAN BEFORE YOU REBUILD THOUGH
Hey I replaced mine and the servo saver grinds when I turn to the right but not left help me please great videos
Sounds like striped gears
yes that is what it is its stripped gears just happened to me yesterday and tore it apart IT IS THE GEARS
so replacing these parts didn't fix that problem? I'm trying to figure out what parts to get for my rc18t2 and have that same problem
hi I crashed my ruckus and now it won't turn when I power it on it centers without hesitation and has no broken gears. if I try to turn it makes 0 noise
mine does that too
lol I got a plan wether you want to spend £1000 on your models tho take out those steel bearings and buy full ceramic bearings lighter and last longer aswel
Not all are waterproof.
I have this, but when I turn on the car, it starts making a hum sound....help
A small hum sound is normal. Just needs to be alligned a little bit
My servo stopped working for some reason😕 nothins broken though… dont know what to do! Plz leave an idea in this thread😕
Try a different one in the receiver if that one works then you might just need a new servo.
@@rustlervxl09 ok thx I will try that🙂
What was the problem with it in the first plave
I think I had stripped the gears or something
AdmiralStones it won't turn
how do I fix the water damaged servos
not sure if you can, maybe try opening it up and leaving it in rice for a day or so?
How come my serval will turn but my tires won't
Joseph Precour the servo horn may be stripped out
Any help? Mine won't turn at all, doesn't make any noise trying to. It can't be the receiver, channel 1 works with the throottle. Is there any way?
LeShedd sounds like it's broken electronically
What should I do?
LeShedd It may have got wet or just fried. if it did get wet maybe put it in rice. It might just be fried though and you need a new one. I'm no expert though
Should I repair this servo, buy a new traxxas 2075 or get a completely different brand?
LeShedd The 2075 is good unless you want to spend more money on an expensive one
car? im building a robot.
Zxenmusic servos are used on RC trucks and cars to steer
y wouldnt u just buy a metal gear servo
OMG u life saver, i gave u a like and a subscribe
My servos glitches if I push the gas it just glitches and it will do its own thing if I turn left it won't work
What car is it? What servo is it? What esc do you have? I will try to help
Rustlervxl09 my steering servo is a spektrum and when i turn its reverse like left is right and right is left how do i fix this?
Try to look for a switch on your radio to reverse for your steering
Servo
now i got it
mine makes a noise when I turn all the way to one way what should I do
re-center it
On the remote?
+Elias Velasquez Does it do the noise when turning right and left?
+Rustlervxl09 no only one way it does
+Elias Velasquez I think why it is asking that noise is because it's not able to turn all the way. I suggest taking off the servo horn and re-alligning it so it's more centered.
I know this was a long time ago but what if the thing didnt break but the moter thing wont spin what shall i do?
It might be burnt out
+Rustlervxl09 wait i found out what it was its was a missing part that i found but thanx
+MrCrinkly187 Huynh im subing to u btw
gears are not stripped but servo isn't getting power?????????????
If you think it might be because of water take the back panel off and put in rice. If it's not from water it might just be fried.
Yeah it's not wet is dry as a bone.
Every new one I buy does the same thing...
+Rodney Jones Have they worked at all, Even when brand new? If not it would be receiver or controller.
why didn't you show how to put it back on
Those are junk. Why would you fix it?
Ok but why did you replace them with the crappy cheap plastic when you could upgrade them to metal and not have to replace them every 3 weeks
The stock plastic is pretty cheap and tbh I very rarely strip the gear. Metal is definitely a good long term upgrade though
Rustlervxl09 yeah I agree with that kinda I have a slash and I’ve had it for like. 2 years and I’ve only had to replace the gears once with the plastic ones but I have a stampede and if you put the plastic ones in it it strips the gears about every other battery and (I’m not exaggerating) but I put the metal ones and and I’ve had em in for about 2 months now and they work fine
@@rcaddict7638 nice! Good to hear. Must be the larger tires on the stampede
Rustlervxl09 yeah that’s why I think the tires are wider and taller
You might have to replace plastic, but not brass greats, uselly it probably wasted,an it's probably the electronics
is it supposed to constantly run? just got my car, know nothing about it, but can hear this part constantly running when the car is on and it does not steer at all
how it is right now will shorten the servos live a lot. right now if it's doing that it means it's not totally centered and is fighting just to stay in neutral position. what car is it on? you just need to get things lined up better
It's on a Dromida sc4.18 truck my son got as a gift. I will take it apart and see if I can realign or see if the gears are stripped. Thank you for your help :)
+jennifer coffel I doubt gears are stripped but yea, it just needs to be aligned
