Tauranga Gem Mineral & Fossil Show 2021

Lots to see and do. Club members made display cases with their New Zealand collected or personally worked stone. My display of different types of obsidian was a hit and in the competitions, I earned a second-place for my fossil Monotis plate. Really pleased with that as it is the first comp I've entered with my rocks.
Gemstone traders came from around the country to sell their wares which made for a visual symphony of shape, size and colour to behold. Thousands flocked through the event making it a huge success.
It's all back again next year as COVID caused it to be postponed from last year, so look out for the dates to add to your calendar.
