- I share the first UK customer delivered 2024 MK4.5 Facelift Ford Focus ST Edition in todays video. This limited run car is potentially set to be one of the last ICE Ford Performance cars produced and I am very exciting to share this one with you all as it is a passion of mine to do so.

Been 5yrs of focus ST-Line X estates now and spent the whole time chewing over possibly getting an ST. Think I’m gonna go for it now.
I am a big fan of the ST-Line also and for sure you may compromise on full on sportiness with the payoff of a more comfortable ride. The MK4.5 Focus ST, particularly cars without the track pack or in ST Edition spec, have a great ride with the adaptive dampers. For sure worth a test drive to see what you think 😊
@@SamAustin brill thanks Sam. Even if I just have it for a couple of years - I’ve always gone for fairly mean looking but largely sensible practical cars (we have dogs) but even a couple of years of a “don’t need it but it’s fun” car feels overdue. Just the wife to convince next…

Did you notice any changes in the brake feel from the track pack focus ST to the 2024 Focus ST Edition?
My 2023 track pack focus ST had brakes that bit hard at the slightest press of the pedal.
My 2024 Focus ST Edition brakes feel almost a bit spongy and don't fill me with the same confidence.
The service centre told me that they have moved from a vacuum pump system to an electronic one, which is the reason for the change. I am not convinced.
Hi Michael, I am yet to drive the Focus ST Edition only the track pack MK4.5. For me the brakes and the feel of the pedal is important to a car like this. For sure if you are seeing a difference I would query this as I would be surprised if there are any changes between the two although I do not know for sure. Hopefully I can experience an ST Edition in the future and let you know on the channel 👍
I am assuming the MK 4.5 Focus ST track pack is the same mechanically as the Edition, or does it have bigger brakes as well as cosmetic changes?
It is the same you are right. Other than the exclusive paint and blue interior stitching. The final difference being it limited to only 300 vehicles 🙂

Great video. Car looks stunning. Strange they didn't put a numbered plaque in the car that would have added to the limited edition nature of the car. Still a few for sale on autotrader, some even with a discount. Could be to do with thr price, a fully speccced one around 45k!
Thank you and I also discussed this with the owner the cars should have been numbered. Apparently it is possible they are with the last 3 digits shown on the VIN number but this is not confirmed quite as yet. Yes I have seen a handful for sale new and might take a drive to check another one out actually 👍
Hello sam found ur channel man good content am was just wondering i have been offered a ford focus st edition B for next year only makeing 200 on a 25 plate but i cant seem two fined out wat the b means after edition or have they just called it that for no reason but the name! Even the lady down ford cant explian she said its fully loaded all options onit track pack and more just wondering if u new or no anything as i was told they stopping makeing them in 2025 and a friend said two me two wait till then because they bringing out a st edition even more loaded then the last st edition is this is the edition b? But apparently this all thats being made next year 200 of them and the rest stock ones apparently?✌️💯
I have not heard of the Edition B. I wonder if it will add more options, or perhaps something hidden we do not know about, to the final batch of limited ST Editions in 2025. I will see if I can find out anything and let you know 👍

That colour is one of my all time favourites. The one thing I miss about my old ST Edition.
Never had the heart to mod it beyond stage 1 330, really wakes these MK4/4.5 Focus STs up.
My 4.5 performance pack car though I've gone mad running Stage 2 365+
One thing I will say on the MK4... the engine sound enhancement needs turning off, especially if you replace the exhaust 😅

Yes this is true. Limited to 300 units and Azura Blue paint / blue interior stitching is exclusive to the ST Edition.
@@SamAustin Is it really worth the price hike though for the Azura blue paint (Which isn’t even that exclusive seeing as every other new Puma ST I see on the road has been specced with that paint) and a metal plaque with a number on it? Should of upped the power to 320+BHP at least, maybe even slapped a better exhaust system on it to give it it’s last “Hoorah”.
I think the MK4 (Pre-facelifted) Focus ST Edition for around £25,000 on the used market is the one to go for. For me at over £42,000 it is too high and I do agree with your points. It is all subjective and it is great to see this car on the road...I feel as though it is the closest thing we will see from Ford to a Focus RS.
@@AP-18789 Mountune M330 or 365. Dreamscience offer similar. Its sad we never got a mk4 RS, but then that would not have been a hot hatch.

As far as I am aware the Focus is still on sale. However, heading into the future I am unsure for how long 🤔
I've already ordered mine in Spain for just 38,500€. I'll have it in December, can't wait. I have no idea about the 500 units in Europe.

So what's the difference between a ST Edition and a ST Track Pack?
Is there a real difference that worth getting the ST Edition?
I'm about to order one, and planning to go with Race Red ST Track Pack with sunroof... which i think you can't get on the ST Edition
No worries at all. The only different is the Azura Blue paint, the Blue interior stitching and the limit number to the UK being 300 units. Other than that it is the same as a track pack. Race Red does look great with these Focus ST's and best of wishes with your decision. You are correct no sunroof with the ST Edition 😎
No sunroof with any track packs apparently

Hi Sam What do you think about the Focus ST horsepower scandal. There have been cases where customers had dyno results of 200,220,250 HP, etc. I also ordered the ST Edition version 2 weeks ago
I have not heard of this scandal myself or noticed the power feeling any less the the 280ps quoted. I have driven many and they have always felt fast enough from my point of view 🙂
Why hasn’t FORD PERFORMANCE released a AIR/OIL Separator for this Focus ST
Ford USA has released an air/oil separator for the 4 cylinder Mustang, Bronco, Ranger
All need is a new bracket and OEM lines???
Good review like St in blue, My local Ford dealership as one in the show room, looks fantastic, I have a Ford Focus ST mk 3 in Nitrous Blue, it's a Ford miss build I was told, looks like a RS, keep up the good reviews 👍

It looks fantastic in person also that colour! Ford do know how to nail that aspect. The black wheels do look great but I do also really like the silver/grey wheels on the standard Focus ST also. Perhaps spraying these black wheels in Silver would look the part plus slightly easier to maintain perhaps. I would love to own one but sadly this particular car is a little out of my budget set a side for such a car given I have the Golf R....I would however consider a MK4 Focus ST Edition, so the pre-facelifted version, as it would be a big turnaround for Ford to produce another limited run internal combustion engine Hot Hatch in the future now so a special car for the long term. You have got me thinking about silver wheels now too as a possibility 😁
@@SamAustin the GolfR is a great car, not driven or sat in one . The black wheels look lost against the blue bodywork, I’m a bit old fashioned when it comes to black wheels. I’ve owned a I30N since last September, great car shame the roads are so bad but I’m fortunate to live in a rural part of West Wales to enjoy the B roads.
Looks like a cool car I do like Azura Blue. Reminds me so much of my Ford MK3 Focus RS, small detail Sam they moved the amplifier in the Fiesta ST MK8.5 it was in the boot on the pre-faced lifted model, but sub was moved to under the passenger seat, I only found this out when the dealer took me around my car when I collected it. If it was my ST Edition I would keep it standard, it's a keeper, lucky guy🤦
Yes and discussing with the owner we believe it is a revised paint code of the older nitrous blue in the MK3 RS. The only difference from what I can see if that the Azura blue is a slightly more flat paint without the extra sparkle in the Nitrous Blue. They both look very similar other than that. It is amazing all the little small details that do get changed during a facelift. I would also keep the car stock myself I agree 👍

I've been looking for this video since the ST Edition was announced. In just a few weeks I will be the owner of this car, and I feel very lucky. I see I'm not the only future owner of this car in the comments. I have produced content on the Focus ST Edition since 2021 on my TH-cam channel and I am a big fan of Fast Fords. Setting something up with all the owners would be great and I know this owner has found the Ford forums very useful too. Myself and the owner will be at this event, which I attend most years, which is a great way to have all the owners together it is called: "Simply Ford - Beaulieu". It is a great community for sure, which I try to create further on my channel, and with Ford perhaps heading in a different direction this ST Edition is likely to be one of the last ICE Ford Performance vehicles produced 👍

About the Ford Focus ST Edition community, do you think we could promote a Telegram group? I already run a Telegram community for Ford Fiesta owners since I own one myself, and it works great. It would be fantastic to connect with other future ST Edition owners, as I've seen a few others in the comments. We could share experiences, discussions, and materials among the limited owners of this edition.
By the way, you mentioned in the video that there are 300 units for the UK and 200 more for the rest of Europe. Where did you get that information? Do you know the source?

Actually prefer these subtler dials compared to previous visuals, it's all kinda meh with the screens compared to actual dials
Honestly? I like our frozen white Track Pack Focus way more. The Edition would look better with blue calipers. Coming to the Display - the OG graphics looks so much better. Don´t know why they changed that...
Frozen white is also a very special colour. Particularly in track pack variant with the gloss black extras. Many congrats on yours and Ford really do produce fantastic stand out colours for their Ford Performance cars 🎉

I feel as long as there are enthusiasts around these cars that they will remain in some capacity in the long run. Just perhaps it will be more niche going forward and in limited numbers. Lets see what the future holds 👍

As ive said before this is an end of an era moment from ford. They seem to have turned their back on us hot hatch enthusiasts. Sorry but i just can’t get excited about a suv or crossover suv ( whatever they call them) lol. As a fellow golf r owner ( just collected my golf r20 a couple of weeks ago) i fear vw and other manufacturers are all heading in the same direction and as for ev’s they just aren’t an option for me because of where i live and my travel requirements. Petrolhead will have no new cars to look forward to in the future and we’ll have to start looking back to get our kicks. Used prices of hot hatches will be on the rise if u hold on to them for definite
I do have this feeling myself and am very happy to share this ST Edition on the channel. Many congrats also on your Golf R20 as that is also a very special car. I will continue to keep this type of ICE content going on my channel, particularly with my viewers and subscribers, whatever the future holds with the direction of the automotive industry. I also very much enjoy my hot hatches and sharing them with you all. For me they work so well for so many people as an all rounder. They are all the car you may ever need potentially 👍
