Bro....you by far offer the best tips... I main Sagat and Laura, Sagat is my fav though. I swear after watching a couple of your vids i jumped from super bronze to gold in a week using some of your ideas... It actually gave me a better understanding of the whole entire game and allowed to improve my other chars like Laura.. I think after watching this one Ill b platinum in a week or 2 .. Keep it up man!!
This is an excellent video! I love that you described the "pause"- I think "the pause" is a very valuable technique that can be applied to all types of characters. I also like that you went over not always backing up, and to try to move forward when you can- I always felt as if that was very important to zoning. I always felt that it creates a "spiked wall" for your opponent- you are a wall that is going to keep closing in on the opponent, and your opponent will suffer some discomfort in trying to go through you. Thanks for another excellent video!
MAXWELL?! Total Sagat is DEFINITELY invited to the cookout. Good stuff right here, I'm gonna try to implement this in my gameplay. Sagat is challenging but MAD rewarding.
As a huge Sagat fan I really love and appreciate your videos! Helping me a lot to get my game to the next level! Also love your accent when you re speaking!
You easily make the best SFV guides I've seen on youtube so far. I've watched so many, but yours are the first ones to actually click with me. Plus you always put some bomb ass music to go with them
your videos are always great man. I've been learning SFV for 5 months now (finally made it to gold recently) and I keep coming back to your channel to try and improve my ryu. Trying to have a good zoning and neutral game are still something I'm trying to implement and I feel like your channel is the only one that really dives into it for this game
I try to make it a bit more fundamental based. Players tend to get blinded by the big flashy combo's and "tech" , but realistically those elements make up about 5% of the real game. Especially if you play a more rounded character. Glad you find them helpful!
Great content. I follow you since the SF4 days, and I'm definitely implementing this into my gameplay. I love zoning, and this season it's actually viable.
I appreciate this. I've gotten to the point where I'm throwing good fireballs more often than not, but patient opponents have been able to back me down.
Your videos are so great man. Hoping you'll keep it coming into SF6. Since it looks like Sagat isn't gonna be a launch character, is there anyone you're eyeing up?
I find Sagat vs Zangief matches very satisfying. Both have their unique approach and it feels like a chess game, no robbery, always an honest win for either of them.
@@RushianRichard yeahh is very satisfying to watch this match , because both chars are base in fundamentals , sagat in zone fundamentals and zangief in grappler fundamentals.
@@gilmarmirandadossantos6009 I still can get caught though when my sparring partner picks up Gief using EX grabs with v-s/v-t II settings on. So damn fast and that damage, oooff! 😅
That tip to do fireball> normal instead of normal > fireball is a god send
Bro, did you just teach some dope tips for my fav character while playing a song form one of my fav musicians??? 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤙🏽

Thank you!
Legit the only zoning guide on the internet lol. Praise the lord

Excellent Video, since the Ryu guides in S1. Your videos teached me how to play zoning characters.
Thanks a lot man.
This is the best sub of my life
Bro this video is the best one I seen about a game!!!
This is phenomenal content.

I play Sakura, found this very insightful
You gotta love the jams
I appreciate this. I've gotten to the point where I'm throwing good fireballs more often than not, but patient opponents have been able to back me down.
Thinking about it, I think I only move forward when I get a knockdown or when the opponent has decided to neutral jump my fireballs.
this is amazing just picking up sagat rn constantly getting jumped in from around the midrange and not being able to dp truly eye opening
Once you get it , you get it 😎
@@TotalSagat still sinking in but you are a god of content thank you

Amazing!!!!!! Thank you for the class!!

Not really, but I'll probably go someone random, like Dee Jay, always thought he was cool
Awesome video, can you review the new patch updates for Sagat?
I was going to do it last night, but there's not really much to review to be fair. Maybe I'll throw something together if I get time.
Zangief main here to figure out how you zoners work.

Can I teach myself all this playing on arcade mode? Good vidm8 good advice!
Better to hit the training room!
Hey can you do a tech video with sagat vs Vega
Vega ? Yeah I can write it on the list!
@@TotalSagat awesome because that matchup is hard for me
This would be better if it was Narrated with narrated examples.
Name of background song please
Maxwell - everwanting
Do you ever use the medium fireball??
Actually no, it doesn't really offer much at all. Maybe the only time I'd use it is to catch a neutral jump and change the speed slightly.
@@TotalSagat btw do you use medium tiger uppercut to AA?
Whats the point of stand up fire ball??
