- What Ointments I Use During Tattooing
Hey everyone! So I've noticed that we've been getting lots of comments over the last year on our videos asking me, "what's that stuff that you're rubbing on the skin before you tattoo?". Because we keep getting these questions, I've decided to make a video on the types of ointments that I use daily whenever I tattoo.

It's important to know that this original Green Glide is the only one of their products still containing petroleum and that's why is the cheapest 👍🏻
So for the aftercare, I have been using Jojoba oil which is amazing. My tats have never healed faster, in comparison to my tats that I've used ointments on. Jojoba oil is full of vitamin E, it's great for healing wounds. I'm just putting it out there because it's what I'd reccomend to my clients.
When to use jojoba oil
I thought vitamin E was bad for tattoos?
thanks man i’m an upcoming tattoo artist where i’ve done a few tattoos on myself and now plan to make it a business so whenever i need help on a topic related to tattooing i come straight to you ✍️✌️
I absolutely love love love my hustle butter,I just got a brand new Freddie Mercury tattoo on my upper left arm and it keeps him shining and healing very nicely 💯
I use vaseline for ink caps, water, etc too. Like you said, not gonna use ink eeze, too expensive... I was researching the ejectrum stencil remover, it's basically 70% alcohol with a few drops of tea tree oil, so I make my own & add a little aloe. Works great. Thanks for all the help, hope all is well, take it easy.
I have only used Hustle Butter to heal my tattoos and when I started tattooing friends, I started with the Inkeeze Vegan they were vegan and wanted me to use what ever I could that was vegan.
Thanks again Brandon for your insight. 🙏 Poppy
I like you bro you give us directions like a teacher 😉😏😜
I respect the honesty. I just had one for in South Florida and cringed when I seen the Vaseline 😮
Thanks bro,!
Use hustle butter for aftercare and ink eze for tattooing
Canna ink'd is the best out there!
You guys stillnin bussines?
can we get a video on stencil
machines please bro
Inkzee love this stuff pink bubblegum smell
Chamomile oil is the best
I used too much while tattooing my first tattoo and it clumps the ink/ fades the lines and even causes lines to go in thinner than they should leaving gaps etc. Bad habit from fake skinning.. Use as little as possible! the article that lead me here is a great read very informative.
can i use glide while tattoing?
@@jakejanapon2317 inkeeze is nice it is not petroleum based product like vaseline which plugs the needles and clumps the ink.
Should I use the purple one instead of the green one?
Sometimes when I’m tattooing the ink gets stuck on the clients skin and I can’t wipe it with a paper towel and I can’t see the rest of the stencil to finish the Tatoo, I’ve been recommended to use baby wipes is that true ? And can you tell me what else i could use to wipe excess tattoo ink off my client as I’m tattooing
Green ink eeze has petroleum and the lavender one dosen't
Hey
Could I use the Ink Eeze glide instead of stencil stuff??
No
Fact check - At 5:05 you state it is petroleum based - Never tried the Green one, but the Purple one is petroleum free - and also they are all Lavender scented.
There are different scents for the different colors like pink I bubblegum.
Oil and vaseline is fine dont let tattoo ointment manufacturer confuse you.
@@chrissajdik always use sterilize at brandnew , dont re use its cross contamination.
Wait.... traplore ross tattoos?
Can you go in to why you don't use Vaseline during the tattoo process?
@@chrissajdik I did look it up, the only answers come in regards to after care, attitude was unnecessary thanks, not to mention one of the 2 products he's using is petroleum based so your whole argument is void. Stop giving advice when you don't have the actual answer.
Edit* on the tattoo 101 forums the ONLY complaint mentioned about Vaseline is that it can clog needles.due to being thick.
Or you can use Aquaphor.it’s alright to use if your on a budget
Been tattooing for 10years.. and still using vaseline during tattoo..
Hi I am from taiwan ?
I have a question ink eeze have a expiry date?
Yes they do
This is off topic but I really wanted to get your opinion on something. Lol. So, I tattooed three stars on my hand with a dragon hawk tattoo pen and it was the first time I ever did that. It came out good but after a couple of days it started peeling off and then it’s basically invisible now and it’s red I’m sure it’s irritated as well. Thanks 🙏🏽
You didnt go deep enough into the dermis layer of skin so the ink fell out while healing. Keep practicing dont go too deep and cause a blowout.
Dry heal.i only use ointments after first peel to help new skin.
Does the green glide clog the tube I’ve only used purple glide and have been thinking about getting the green glide soon
No issues with clogging, just don't put an excessive amount and you'll be fine
Can i use baby wipes to wipe
Personally hate using baby wipes. Too watery. Dry paper towel and some green soap. Green soap on the dry towel, wipe with that. That’s what I’ve been seeing. Between that and spraying a green soap/water mixture on the towel and wiping with that. Gonna try both tonight.
