...and the smell of the green soap is so very soothing, hardly anyone has allergic reactions to the lavender (compared to chemical scents I would assume). The glycerin/vegetable oil that they make that green soap out of is very kind to the skin. Heck, they make suppositories out of glycerin so if it can go up your bottom, it can go on your skin. Those old timers did many things right and there is a reason why those little tricks pass down from old folk to the young folk. So remember if you want to remove your tattoo, use mayonnaise and a chore boy....no, wait, I'm mixed that up with something else. Thanks for the presentation, very well thought through.
I do love the smell of green soap. Just need to make some candles that smell like green soap and burn them. Mayonnaise does actually remove car grease from your hands. That is something my grandpa showed me. He also sprayed my hands with Carbonator cleaner. The mayonnaise didn't give me a chemical burn like the carbonator cleaner did. Maybe that was grandpa just trying to make me tough.

There is a green dettol hand soap in a pump bottle I've used this in a diluted form with water for wash off at the end of the tattoo smells nice and no infections what so ever
kinda have different results with hustle butter , it make the ink stick to the skin instead when wipe. i kinda suppose you should not dry wipe when using hustle butter ? i like it think its great heals all my tat´s with hustle butter its amazing but to use when doing a tattoo its kinda like a glue that makes all the ink stick to the skin after a while
I'm probably using it differently because I haven't had this problem. It doesn't have to be hustle butter. You can use what works best for you. Adding a little lubricant should help the ink come off. I do also add a little soap and water to my paper towel. Not a bunch. Just enough to get the job done.
apparently it isn't a good idea. They use it all the time in hospitals but there is that chance someone could have a reaction to it. This is something i'm going to look into and see if there is a better solution
I would look at the ingredients and see if they are good for someone's skin. A tattoo is an abrasion type wound that we cause with the tattoo needles. The tattoos should be treated the same as a wound caused other ways. The question is would a doctor recommend using blue soap on a wound? I try to stay away from perfume and a lot of ingredients. The added soap is just to help remove some ink and keep the paper towel from being too rough. You only have to add a small amount of soap to the water to accomplish this. You need just enough to give the water that silky smooth feeling. If a product checks off all these boxes I will consider using it. Right away I see blue soap is used for laundry. I haven't used it. Will have to do some research into this.
I had someone use some oil fragrance while I was tattooing them. They said it would calm them down. Problem was I had to smell it. I don't really want to relax too much while I'm tattooing. I just drank some more coffee to keep me from getting too relaxed.
this is the time seeing this video it great i just get started i most of comments i see all ask the same question use Fragrance-Free soap here one get at wal-mart Palmolive Ultra Dishwashing Liquid Dish Soap, Pure + Clear Fragrance Free - 32.5 Fluid Ounce i would say most Grocery stores would have fragrance-free soap
I would recommend using fragrance free soap and water. I wouldn't use anything with alcohol unless you want to loose your stencil. Also don't need to use alcohol during the tattoo. It is only used to prep the area before.
I've been wiping my excess ink with clorox wet wiper actually and that works good. Then I wash with hand sanitizer and water and wrap with vasaline and pepper towel for 3 hours and the again wash with cold water and light unscented dish soap been working 2 for 2. Thanks man your the greatest.
I don't think you need green soap. I feel like it was something that we could of stopped using a while ago. Everone used to tattoo with it so it stuck around past its due date.
Hi I've had green soap applied to me during tattoos over the years I'm a little bit older I'm not gonna be getting any more tattoos I do do my own nails at home and I was wondering I have a brand new bottle sealed of green soap can that be used to disinfect my very own nail implements when I do acrylic nails on myself and maybe a friend?
Yes. Green soap was made for that. Green soap is good for other applications. I just don't think it is good for tattooing. It is probably really awesome for cleaning things.
Distilled water goes through a process that removes contamination from the water. Drinking water doesn't go through this process. They just add more chemicals to the water. That isn't good for tattooing and it doesn't remove the little guys that like to cause infections. Our guts can handle this stuff but you don't want it while you are tattooing.

LOL, love this guy... What ever happened with the Mayo for the grease?
Worked like a charm. You just don't want to dip your hand into the jar. Kinda ruins the rest of the mayo. Not good for eating after that.

Lavender is also a calming fragrance. Idk, but maybe its intentional, to ease the nerves of someone getting a first tattoo. 😬

I get it. Not to pick on lavender stuff because it is really good. I just think it should be used after the tattoo.
cai i use distilled water to clean ink from skin ?
Distilled water with just enough soap so you get a smooth wipe and don't irritate the skin. Also just enough soap to help the ink come off the skin.

Dr. Bronner’s!
Sup! Bro can we make homemade Greensoap for tattoo ?
soap and water
But What type of soap Sir ? :)
Sir?
mild soap with as little fragrance as possible. Liquid soap is easier to mix with distilled water.
You can skip the soap and water. Just used distilled water by itself. Use ointment on the skin to help remove excess ink and lubericate the skin.
