Bandai, I think it's about time we get an MG kit of this.
Bandai has honestly forgotten about mg like bro mg fans still exist
I always loved the principality of zeon suits because they always gave a me a WWII German troop vibe. This guy is a really good example of that.
Well, Zeon itself is inspired by Nazi Germany so it makes perfect sense haha
The beam rifle looks like a Sturmgewehr and the launcher looks like a Panzerfaust. They really wanted to give it that SS feel lmao.
The stick grenades were also based off real grenades used by the Germans during WW2.
And the cuffs, and the Stahlhelm (helmet), and the insignia on the chest, and the black-green color tone. Very A E S T H E T I C.
ProffessorDESU the Sturmfaust was always a part of Zeon weaponry
to be honest, thats kinda what i like about this mobile suit.. i actually want to buy a few of these someday.
Stielhandgranates were also used in WWI.
If anyones wondering, the front skirt can be seperated rather easily. Just take care with a hobby knife or scribe tool and it easily snaps in half.
The "Guard type" version is the best version
those shoulders are a bit much for me, not so much into the decorative look. I like the more realistic look of this one personally.
I love this kit and need to add it to my collection! Even straight out of the box it looks great! Again, excellent video editing!
the Geara Zulu's machine gun is based on the German StG-44 which was the first ever assault rifle. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StG_44

I have the same model kit as that one, and no matter how many times I kept looking at, it looks like an improved Zaku model, like a Mk IV.

i actually just picked up the gilboa sant version of this kit. Seriously one of the best looking zeon suits
If I were to make a modification to this kit, I would put some spikes on the shoulder pad ... or buy the Guards Type variant.
So how bad are the "Sleeves" markings, and the white circles on the ankles to apply? I've really wanted a Zulu variant with the intention of having the appropriate markings, but I'm not sure how much of a hassle it is to apply them.
To my knowledge, the markings are molded onto the kit correctly, so the stickers should be cut to fit them perfectly, yes? I hate "eyeballing" sticker placement...
I'm building the Doven wolf UC ver. currently and despite I'm not a zeon fan, I really love the build and colors of the kit. The build is a bit more involve and feel refreshing, unlike the IBO and Revive line...those kits just feel very repetitive because the construction are pretty much the same. I really missed those older HGUC kits.
I love the HG Doven Wolf/ Silver Bullet so much! Such a solid kit with great articulation and loads of gimmicks/weapons.
Zulu's are all great kits, I really like my guards types and ep.7 rozen. Love the sturdiness of them and the look.
This MG is heavily needed, I just want the Guns and equipments
My favourite mobile suit.
I have a small army of them, fully painted, with custom weaponry like the gatling shield from the Gouf Custom, missile pods from the Zaku F4, knives from the Zee Zulu, etc.
Bandai needs to make an MG!
Notch a piece of runner rod, glue to the base of the grip then sand flush is probably gonna be easier and come out nice and flush for extending the grip and should be pretty strong.

Are the white stickers around the wrist and chest raised or recessed? I might get this kit and rather paint than use the stickers.
the detail is raised there, so it would be easy to paint using a reverse-wash technique.
I think the zulu geara as the german soldier of the gundam universe
usually i add some double tape when posing with hand weapon cause the hand isnt tight enough to hold it.

If you're going to get if an accurate depiction of how tall they are when compared to each other then you had better be sure that their legs are an equal distance apart

What color are the "sleeves" molded in? Are they at least black?
same as the chest piece, not totally in black if I remember correctly, but on the good side: they also come with the sleeves carving done so you can do your own thing on it.
all black, but the detail is raised so it's easy enough to do a reverse wash.
I would kill for a master grade.

You forgot the Hi-zack which will probably fit somewhere between the 2 and the 3. I would also add the Gouf, Gelgoog and Geara Doga in there. The Dom would proably be a side-upgrade from the Zaku 2.

Lol, I actually kind of twisted the phrase. Traditionally in plastic models “out of box” means the kit is painted in original colors. But out of box seemed to me the best way to describe reviewing the kit exactly as it is straight out of the box 🤷♂️
@@ZakuAurelius I mean it very well describes what it is. Its simply, out of box, put together and boom. So i say its got a very good ring to it.
However if you happen to see this comment again are you possibly planning on reviewing the gouf custom in the future still? I have the kit personally and watched you're other gouf videos and man, it is one hell of a Gouf. I'm just genuinely excited if youbdo plan to review it. I'm a fan of watching reviews on kits I have, because sometimes you learn new things that you didn't know before with you're kits. Hence why I was hoping it would be

yup, and make sure u got it straight on the center(or maybe if u got slightly off you can sand it little bit to free some articulation) ,be carefull tho :D

no plans at the moment, but I'm sure I will someday.
HGUC #122 is a much better looking version of this Zeon mobile suit.
