- Here's the High-Grade 1/144 scale Hy-Gogg! This is a really cool kit! It shows some age with it's abundance of seam lines, but that's also probably a lot to do with the design. Really excited to work on this kit more!

Man the hy-gogg is such a good design. Kind of silly but still really cool.
Loved this mobile suit in the opening of 0080 War In The Pocket. Anyone who hasn't seen the scene with the attack on the snow covered Feddie base should go watch.

This is my favorite amphibian suit I wish they had a Master Grade version of this I would be on that in a second
The reason i had to make my collection all high and real grades. Theyre cheap and they have basically everything. Mg has so many holes.

This guy is so badass in PS1 Gundam Assault games. That game was firstly introduce me to this MS.
I'm pretty sure I built this in 2003, I had a weird thing for Zeon aquatic suits for some reason, had this, the Zgok, Acguy, and Gogg, super goofy designs but kind of endearing.

This is literally one of the most slapstick mobile suits ever.
You could never tell if the pilot is trying it high five you, tell you to stop, or shoot you.
Wish they would do a1/100 scale version of this very unique design!

i did something similar to what you say at the end: i wrapped cotton around a wire and colored it with something like a gradient from uncolored to grey, made a little orange/yellow gradient at the top to simulate flame and bent the wire to keep the missile peg, the other end was bent to make it fit in the hole on the hand. with an airbrush it's an easy and cool effect for a firing pose!

You could do that. But an LED and a clear plastic rod would be killer!
+ZakuAurelius my way is the way for people who don't want to do a lot of mods to the arms (mainly because I feel that a wire would limit the movement. But it could help the arm stay in place)

There was someone who made a custom build of this hygogg where he has a fuckton of weapons , cannons in the back , bombs , little cannons , machine guns , missiles ,and even he has a cannon in his crotch lmao , that custom was truly a deadly mobile suit
My first gunpla was the old 1989 version, still probably one of my favorite mobile suits just for the wacky waving arms.

When I had this guy displayed...in its passed out mode lol, I had it on those clear acrylic blocks. Lazy but hey it worked xD

I also don't like early Zeon designs, but the arms and feet of this kit are cool enough to warrant buying it for me.
I came to this video because of upcoming hg burnlapius. Maybe bandai will implement some part from hygogg

Can kinda see that design's age. Still it looks awesome! Will keep a look out for one now...well once I shorten up my 2 soon to be 3 kit backlog. Love the hands, I prefer it over the Z'gok's and the thing just looks threatening in general than the Z'gok which I'm kinda a fan of.

HY GOGG IS THE EPICLY
I really hate the transparent plastic monoeyes so I ended up using the spare monoeye sticker from my Kampfer HGUC and pasting it on this one. Perfect fit & looks hell of a lot better
Makes me want to buy this and do a Diablomon paint job

Its not a rank marking, it’s actually a unit marking for the “Cyclops Team.”
I thought the sticker on the head was the cyclops team emblem?? Also good call on the ma.K paint job. I wish I would have had the foresight to try something along those lines.
Haha, you can always pick up another one and go for it! The kit cost me like $12 I think.
And yeah, the marking is a Zeon rank marking!

you could mold something out of a runner like a stande and have a rounded hold like its supposed to hold a submarine but then put this onto it and than just make some kind of sea land background with it

It looks like a submersible suit that was refitted for colony combat.
pretty old kit sadly, no mono-eye movement (abit too small anyway, really depends on people), lack of detail inside the shoulder armor(two important tubings at least), the rest is just some simple color seperation and I think can even compete with the 2019 ones

Should I buy this? I mean it might get a revive version after some time and we all know revive kits pretty much kill their older versions.
+Ley Crimson River I doubt this would get a revive kit as it's not a really "big" part in any series. Unfortunately! I'm sure a Revive version would be amazing, but honestly there's very little wrong with this one!
+ZakuAurelius Thanks for the reply! With Gyan having a revive kit, I still think that the Hy-Gogg having a revive version is not too farfetched. And i'm hoping that you review more HGUC kits like this one!
+Ley Crimson River Well the Gyan was piloted by a notable character against the RX-78-2 Gundam in the original series, fairly iconic mobile suit. Probably didn't have TOO much more total screen time than the Hy-Gogg, but the Gyan is definitely more iconic.

You know all those circles on the shoulder look like it's supposed to coloured. If you are going to paint those circles than I suggest you paint them
