@@jobono1508 Hi, I was at school when I heard the line " 20 years of schooling and they put you on the day shift ". Somebody had actually spoken the truth to me for the first time. So I went travelling the world for over 30 years and have never regretted it. Probably made more money enjoying life than I would have done in some factory paying rent, shopping at the local store, drinking in the local pub all owned by the Management. They paid you one day and took it back the next. That one line changed my life forever, Cheers Bob Dylan.

I adore voices I can identify immediately. Dylan, Hank Williams, Lou Reed, Johnny Cash. In this day of autotuning, none of these people would have become stars.
Dylan (despite his unassuming pose) has always been a gifted and accurate performer. And Clapton can play for hours on these notes without repeating himself. Moreover, they both like to give something good to the audience. Always. So thanks to Bob for his vaguely menacing presence (that has spurred the whole band to give their best, I'm sure...) and for his beautiful song. And to Eric for always having been able to play with the greatest without ever sounding trite (or academic) or less than noticeable....
I love it! That drummer gives a great steady beat, the bass player is smooth, the sax player comes in when he should, the rhythm guitar player is great, and Bob and Eric's lead guitar together tops it, and of course Bob's singing voice makes the song what it is, which is great!
great version Bobs timing is impeccable.. 2 great musicians and all it takes is a nod to move to next section of song...masterclass from 2 legends....i have never seen this version before ...love it

I listened to Bob during his many years in thew music industry, but I newvewr noticed until now when watching this video how such great guitarist hew was. Just watch his hands when he's play lead on that guitar---they move expertly over the fretboard without missing a note....he does it with such ease too.
I had this whole concert and Dylan's Grammy performance of Lovesick on a VH tape recorded from TV. After this they break out a version of Crossroads that has a barnyard bunkhouse groove that only Dylan could conjure up. Clapton loosens up and starts carving out soloes like the master he is.

Thanks for the pointer Brenda, Josh is indeed a talented young artist with a unique style. I left a comment and subscribed. : )
This is so cool, Dylan's vocals are cool as shit, Greatest Guitarist and Greatest music Artist
Ladies & gents, on bass guitar....Nathan East! Saw EC live at Somhlolo National Stadium Swaziland in 1989 and here, over 30 years on, I see that grand virtuoso of the bass, Mr East, still having a ball. Not only the sun rises in the East, but the bass does too!
bright star, Well said! He brings such joy with his music and his joyful personality - the world could do with more Nathan East’s!
I love this. Bob doesn't know/care that he's supposed to play rhythm while Eric does the country licks, so he noodles about over it hahahaha. I love old Bob with all my heart, I love the randomness of his musicianship and the poetic genius but he must be hell to work with.
I believe you and I caught that, just watch Dylan & Clapton try not to laugh...in every song.
Eric has to encourage him for each verse, as 'host'
Alohaa
Bob knows exactly what he is doing and always has :)
Bob Dylan was like George Harrison when it came to music! Bob was a prophet and a teacher! Humble and solemn! God bless!
I was in hospital then rehabilitation....my son brought me my ipod... been listening to him since 60s..they can keep their medications...Dylan took my pain away. If it wasn't for him I would have signed myself out...
That's great to hear. I hope you are doing well these days.
One of the greatest songs of all time.
The best ...by the greatest musicians on
This is magical, I had always thought Dylan was a good player & has created some great simple riffs & chords combinations new at that time, this video just proves that. Of course Clapton is Clapton. Thanks for this clip
The world is essentially comprised of two groups of people: those who get Bob and those who don't. I feel sorry for those who have gone through life and the pennies have never dropped.
svend, Totally agree.
@@MrBobthebird have to admit i was a late comer. I was in my early 30's when it dawned on me what a great songwriter he is!
@@jobono1508 Hi, I was at school when I heard the line " 20 years of schooling and they put you on the day shift ".
Somebody had actually spoken the truth to me for the first time. I never trusted a person in authority again. Which made me believe in me and not the rantings of bosses from the local factors.
“When you tear out a man's tongue, you are not proving him a liar, you're only telling the world that you fear what he might say.” -George R.R. Martin.
There's a third group: those who "get" Bob and know he's full of shit and a fraud.
I can't imagine playing with him. You would never know which version he was going to give you. No place for the feint hearted.
"Just follow me"
Este es un grandioso tema y magistral interpretación por estos maestros de la creación musical y artística ...
Fantastic! It can't get any better than this. Thanks WorldOfRock4U !
Two legends, absolutely brilliant 👍🇦🇺
곡.연주 너무나 환상제인 콜라보레이션!❤❤
Amazing performances from Dylan and Clapton. Dylan was in top form in this clip!
Sizzlin' ! Basically a concerto for two guitars...to see what I mean check out Bach's concerto for two violins...the same jamming experience...so in the groove. Thanks so much.
There is a small group of us that mostly listen only to Bach and Dylan. What else could you possibly want?
I love that idea. Frankly, I have such catholic taste that if the thing rocks i don't care who's it by...I'm a rock 'n' roll freak heavily into anything from Plain chant to...well, rock!I Must say Dylan and Bach club sounds impossibly niche!@@stephenlee1756 Keep on truckin'
Escuchar a estos dos gigantes de la música...es algo tan placentero ...
Dylan obviously enjoying being Dylan. Love it... Love the way he and Clapton communicate visually through their guitar licks.
I adore voices I can identify immediately. Dylan, Hank Williams, Lou Reed, Johnny Cash. In this day of autotuning, none of these people would have become stars.
I would add Tom Waits to that list. On the Nickel !!
Oh mein Gott, ist das guuuuut. Mehr braucht es nicht
Two Legends together on stage. I feel blessed to watch them, wish they would do far more together than they do.
The miracle of Dylan: he showed that near perfect poetry, imperfectly sung, is further perfected.

@@brendahawkins3965 ahahah, ok Brenda... done. Nice guy, nice cover: I'm sure he could become a fine musician 😊.
SmogandBlack thank you so much. I hope you might subscribe and check out some more of his videos if you have the time ♥️
My two absolute faves!

Bob Dylan is the coolest cat ever
2 great musicians and all it takes is a nod to move to next section of song...masterclass from 2 legends....i have never seen this version before ...love it
The first album I ever bought was Bringing it all Back Home, when I was in the 5th grade. At 63 I still listen to him. Finally got to see him at The Beacon Theater11/26/'18, a fantastic concert!
Two giants, can't go wrong!
Really great song and great words. Dylan is a genius and Clapton one of the best guitars.
I just have to keep coming back to this post, again and again. Its riveting. Talk about soul and joy - these guys just show me what its all about. And hey, look at the smiles on the backers. Despite and/or because of the gravel this is one of the all time bests for this masterpiece of lyric and music. Thanks for the post.
I have watched this so many times this week-LOVE IT!

It still sends shivers down my spine, what a great intro and what a great performance by both musicians
I've always loved this song. "You just sort of wasted my precious time" reminds me of my first two husbands.
who dares fiddle about a SOLO while Eric Clapton solos?? Bob Dylan...that's who!! 👍
Absolutely brilliant Bob clearly enjoying himself and Eric complimenting him exceptionally
two of the best singers ever!!
I listened to Bob during his many years in thew music industry, but I newvewr noticed until now when watching this video how such great guitarist hew was. Just watch his hands when he's play lead on that guitar---they move expertly over the fretboard without missing a note....he does it with such ease too.
2 guitar legends ❤❤ just love and harmony .!.
2 old wolves… One is perfect songwriter, one is professor of guitar. Great combination, shocking performance!
shocking lol
😂
Shocking vocals. If I didn't know it I'd wonder just what song it is. PP&M is the version I love.

When you've played and sung the song maybe ten thousand times - and you WROTE IT - you are allowed to fool around with it. Marvelous version. One surprise - how dexterous Dylan is on his fingerboard.
