I love it when you and your mum get together, you can just tell you appreciate each other's talent and HUMOR! The bed turned out so good, I imagine there'a a lot of people trying to find plywood, foam and velvet right now to make their own!

Didn't think I would get emotional during a DIY video... but I used to do DIY projects with my mom growing up and its mother's day weekend and 😭... it was so nice seeing you bond with your mom. The headboard also turned out absolutely gorgeous. I actually came over from AG's channel... loved how you said "once gater gets in there" - so cute! Instant subscriber. You really make it look so deeply fulfilling to do what you do and I have to support that!
Of all the projects I’ve ever seen you do, THIS ONE I could’ve helped out with! IDK if the apartment y’all are working on allows you to put holes in the wall but hanging it imo is easier. However I’m about to have to make another headboard in a new house and well not sure I can hang it up like my previous one so this actually turned into an instructional video for me.😁 Great job, the headboard looks absolutely beautiful! Oh and seeing you work with your mom was so fun!

Was just coming in with the same electric carving knife suggestion. I worked with foam quite a bit for a while, and that was my tool of choice. (note: It was also the tool of choice for the foam shop where I bought my foam pieces, and I just followed their lead.)

I had a head board this exact color as a kid and I LOVED it. I’ve yet to convince my husband we need one too lol 😂 maybe I can make one for my daughter? 🤔
I learned many years ago that the best thing to cut foam is an electric knife (as in, from the kitchen). I often see them in thrift stores, so you might be able to pick one up for a couple of bucks.

Dani, I love watching and learning from your channel. BUT, sometimes you leave out details I would love to know. Like, how did you decide on the amount of fabric you got? How did you decide how deep/wide/tall to make the headboard? Certainly you planned that all out before you cut anything? Ya know what I mean? Are you picking up what I’m putting down? Also, why did you cut out strips of foam and glue them around the edge instead of glueing a solid piece of foam onto the plywood. Is the front of the headboard cushy (besides the thickness of the fabric)? I always look forward to your uploads, thanks!!
Loved this, the headboard made such a statement in this room. As someone who made a similar wide rectangle headboard from a twin mattress, it's a great spot to put your eye glasses and tv remote!❤
Hi Danie! Next time you’re cutting foam try an inexpensive electric carving knife. I used one for my big foam project & it turned out great! Love your I can do spirit & headboard is divine🌺

An electric turkey knife will cut foam (pronounce any way you like). I worked at Joann fabrics and cut lots of foam that way!

I've used an electric meat knife, I bought at the thrift store too cut foam and it worked nicely :)

We used to clean for days before my Mom would visit, and it still wasn't clean enough for her! But I watched Hoarders, and feel much better 😉.
A tip I picked up working at a fabric store is use an electric knife to cut your foam. That’s what we used in the store. Cuts like butter 😊

I think I mentioned this last time, but when I worked at Jo-Ann Fabrics, we used an electric turkey cutter to cut foam.
