I wonder what the new sensors mean for Spatial video. I know it’s champagne problems, but the low light performance and resolution on the 15 Pros leaves a lot to be desired. And between it, Immersive Videos, 3D movies, and AI-converted 3D photos (in visionOS 2) the depth on videos taken on iPhone are the least impressive.
Apple always mum about the size of the sensors and only mention the megapixels. Btw, why upgrade the ultra wide resolution when more ppl use the telephoto lens.
It's so obvious, isn't it? THe capture button is the new SCROLL soft touch surface.. you use it to scroll up and down your facebook newsfeed. just as you can use it to zoom in and out in the camera app, with just soft touch. it is reachable with your right hand, less effort maybe, and most of all keeps the screen open for max content viewability.
@@MYSTICKNIGHT23 You obviously don't understand the difference between pause and a separate recording. My question is to those people that can understand. You're not needed here, move along.
@@gorambo you record 2 clips and in simple editing suite you add both recordings and export as one clip. If you can’t do that 😂 you shouldn’t even be handling a phone with a camera
How come they’re not upgrading the main camera sensor they talk about the ultra wide but not the main camera you mean to tell me they’re not upgrading that?
Hopefully, you’re wrong about the pixel size. A wide angle camera with an IMX903 could easily keep the same 48 megapixels and given that, the aperture can stay the same as last year with pixel binning. So I hope we are getting it as they didn’t change it last year and it’s time they updated to this sensor. This is a big point that I’m researching and hoping to be the case.
1:44 the specs on the iPhone 15 Pro cameras are all wrong. At least do some due diligence and get them right before making a video. Example: 15 Pro Ultrawide are already f2.2 and the primary wide cameras are f1.78
@@AppleInsider Check your graphic you made starting 1:38. It shows iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max as having a 48MP primary wide camera with a f/1.6 when its supposed to be f/1.78. Rushing content out and just slapping incorrect info on videos has become increasingly evident on this channel btw. Just some advice to choose quality and accuracy over speed and quantity.
Thanks for pointing this out Chris! it wasn't rushed but all four old phones and all four new phones I clearly missed that in the mix. I've watched over it like 10 times and didn't notice that, though I did say the correct value.
But nobody uses the camera in landscape orientation anymore! Sounds like a big push for special video only. And my cases would look weird be vs use of the cutout! 😅
I know plenty of folks who do. The only ones not doing so are folks who don’t know how to use cameras. Imagine watching a video/movie that’s vertically oriented… hideous 🤢.
@@icykenny92 yup, it’s one of those things that have folks scratching their heads. Would anyone here pay to see a blockbuster movie oriented vertically? How all those special moments of your children (first words or first baby steps) in a vertical video? People are just too silly these days…
Apple shocks everyone and puts Touch ID back in capture button
Hate to break it to whoever made that decision to add that new button, but 90% of young people take photos in portait mode ...
Yeah, but photographers will probably find it somewhat useful. It may not be revolutionary, but it will be appreciated.
The placement seems like it’d work well for taking photos in portrait orientation too
@@justindecker9170 I think most photographers have actual camera's not an iphone 16.

So the regular 16 is getting Macro mode?
Can’t wait to upgrade to 16 pro max (from an Xs max, I am SO overdue 😂)

But why? Volume button always work as a capture button
What about cinematic videos on 6 plus?
Does it still use a Sony sensor camera?

I might well buy The iPhone 16 Pro max Plus . Might be better buy then low cost one . 😅
Cost arm and leg but anything is better then nothing 😅
When will we get a pause button on video shooting?
Make a Second recording ? Not that hard 😂

Any idea what selfies camera upgrades 😊

No imx 903 in pro max model?

AppleInsider, I subscribed because your videos are super cool!
I think you're pretty cool too
AppleInsider, nice content keep up the good content
So the iPhone 16 camera is better?
No IMX903 on the Pro Max version?
From what we've seen, it has the same resolution, aperture, and pixel size as before. So it doesnt seem so?

those leaks kinda get annoying.. just get surprised
You can avoid the leaks
Imagine wasting time slightly improving a 12MP ultra wide camera instead of just upgrading it to 48MP in 2024 😅
yeh im waiting for the iphone 23, this ones shit
Omg it still looks like my iPhone 12pro!
Everybody saying that main sensor for 16 pro will be new - Sony 903
Sony , do samting about this 😅

Didn't I say it was an f/1.78 on the primary? You're right on the UW, I got it swapped on the regular 15. The new numbers are all correct though.

Great video
There is nothing here that is “Exclusive” Please stop using clickbait titles.
1:39. So the iPhone 16 Pro telephoto will be from f/1.6 to f/1.78 : isn't worse? I'm confusing :/
Upsetting 😅
Weaky leaks lol 😅
That’s really frustrating, more places for dirt to get between the phone and case - for case users that is.
The camera design keeps getting wilder and wilder 😂

What breed of dog is that? 😂
