The Red Book Of The Elf King is a superb little skirmish game that manages to latch onto the Epic and Fae Fantasy and mythology of the Norse and Germanic Dark Ages plus weaves in plenty of English, Irish and Gaelic folklore for good measure.
It's also a solid option for those who like the wild stories and Elf mischief of the likes of The Silmarillion!

Thanks - yeah the range is great and the mechanics for the two games feel fun. Certainly worth giving the free rules a go at the very least (more on that tomorrow!) - and thanks about the minis, I painted them a while ago but had great fun with them!

I'm hoping that when I move soon I'll be able to get a more premenant set up to do battle reports and such. So, fingers crossed sometime this year!
I found this stuff years ago, but thought it was just a cool website.
Deffo worth diving into and doing a bit of exploring. I think the game/world is getting an update with the RPG sourcebook soon which should be pretty amazing for adding more depth to the world.
