I too am a stroke survivor and I was treated in Hospital before I was transferred to a Rehab Centre nearby for the next few months to recover properly and the physios hasn't done this at all. I was well enough to roll over myself. I had the strength to do this. The only thing that I could not do is to raise my arms, shoulder to do my own hair I had long hair which I couldn't manage myself. After I was discharged from hospital, I got the chance to get my hair cut short. Now it's manageable for me to handle & so easy to wash and blow dry. It takes me about 10 minutes to wash & blow dry.Easy Peasy!
Thanks to both of you. I have the worst time getting comfortable. I will try . But I've tried every possible position and I'm still having trouble finding my best position
+Global AzPTA yes i follow your channel i worked for about ten years in rehabilitation of children with motor disabilities but now with older rehabilitation
Hi there, my partner just admitted under brain hemorrhage on his right side and having slightly slow down on his left side. So any guidance you can guide me. Which really important to do right now. But for the moment, he is under icu to close observation on BP level. Once it's controlled, next will be physiotherapy to cure on his speech & arm & leg as well. That's what doc told us. Aside, I'm working on to learn more about then to help him too when at home for fast resolve. Pls show some advice. Thanks. Mr Bob & Mr Brad.
Thilagavathy amma, I'm 3 years late to comment. I hope your partner is ok now. I hope your life is peaceful. My grandmom had a stroke and is dying now. It's too much to see her suffer. I came by this video to see If I can learn something to alleviate her pain.
Hello Sir, I have one doubt. While in supine, if the pillow is directly under calf muscle for more than 2 to 3 hours, could there be a chance for DVT ? as the calf muscle is getting pressure constantly.
I had stroke affects left side. In nursing home. I am big person about 350 lbs or less now. How should the cna’s turn me to right.? It hurts muscle at top of leg real bad. They grab leg and pull and leg hurts whole time. Then go and lay on back.
My grandmother recently got stroke and she is not able to move her left arm and leg...she is 77 years young.. But the thing is she is sleeping a lot like almost a day.. Can u please tell me why is these so....

I'm sorry I'm confused. Sleeping on the non involved side?? Does this mean his affected arm is at the bottom and the good arm on the pillow??

What about the position Ng tube?
GOOD JOB GUYS!!
Wish they would have done a 360 view and showed how the non involved shoulder was positioned without being painful after 30 minutes
When they are laying on their involved side shouldn't that shoulder be at 90 degrees
What is the duration of each of the 3 positions ?
Thank You
mine happen on right side.so that mean laying on my left
Sir saw me original patient pls i can't understand..
That's the positions I use 😁 my affected side is the right. Still isn't that comfortable though 😒 lol xx
Hey, it been a while since you posted your reply. I’m wondering how you got on with your recovery??
Not enough info. as to WHY these positions are beneficial.
