For all the jealous Turkish people here when sm says greek food they mean the food people are used to eat in their country.Bc of the empire they got Turkish names but how are u so sure abt who actually made these food? Think twice 😂
Calamari is Greek and no argue. Because our sea creature culture is limited on fish. Btw I adore that dish. 5/10 of the list are Turkish. I've never seen a Turk who claims that salad is Turkish. We have similar salad yeah but olive feta oregano and olive oil are combined just in Greek salad. and i like it and prepare it home. İmam Bayildi is both turkish words and Greek people insist it as Greek lol. While our ancestors defending our empire minor nations were spreaded entire world and took our tastes as theirs. That's the problem.
99% Turkish food. Greece is a very tiny country wit little land and lot of islands. They were always demopgraphic very unpopulous. And these foods are mesopatamian and anatolian. Little countries with few people cant produce food cuisine. Look at the world.
My dear friend, you should know that during Ottoman empire the most famous Cooks and restaurant owners used to be Persians, Arabs, Armenians, Greeks and Albanians and they created most of the dishes you call today Turkish foods. Btw Moussaka is a Greek recipe from 9th century AD (Byzantine records) and the name is Arabic not Turkish, Kalamari and all sea food, was unknown to Turks (traditional Greek), Pasticio first made in areas under Venetians and the name is Italian, Feta and Greek Salad traditional Greek from mainland Greece, Souvlaki found in excavations in Athens from 8th century BC etc. But my friend the food has no nationality and it becomes traditional as long as people from a certain area eating it for a long time, that's all so take it easy.
I love Greek food 🎉🎉
