One thing that i wish you talked about with Reptar is his running momentum. Him slowly building up speed when he runs, just makes him feel like a train. It makes me hope that mechanic becomes a staple for platform fighters.
I forgot ... that was talked about on the twitter post as well. But yeah. I hope more people take that mechanic. Reminds me of smash 4 wario. And that glitch to reverse momentum
We have a lot of character overlap lol. Charizard, Ridley, Sylvanos, heck even Goddess of Explosions. Good video, nice to see more of the Ridley gang. Who's gonna tell him about epitome?
(Damn I'm really boosting the algorithm for ya here. lol) Used to loath Ult Wolf because of those stupid beefy D-Smash and Bair, but now, he's probably the best balanced Top Tier and I wish Ult's power-level capped there. They nailed just about everything with the aesthetics and feel of him. He's great, but takes some skill and knowledge to get him plan rumbling. Good on you Mr. O' Donnell!
Smash Melee: Marth (was duo main with Link for a long time before decided Link was secondary) Brawl: Meta Knight & Lucario Smash 4: Link & Samus early Sm4sh. Charizard & Cloud mid Sm4sh. Meta Knight & Lucario late Sm4sh. That said, I don't really consider that I actually ever mained someone in Smash 4 because I was always looking around at other characters, there's just too many good ones. Smash Ultimate: Link to learn Ultimate. Following characters I've tried to main for at least a month: Wolf, R.O.B., Mewtwo, Byleth, Mewtwo, Mii Swordsman (Rathalos armor), Mii Gunner (Doom Slayer & Custom Robo), Snake, Sonic, Sora, Yoshi, Marth, Samus. A ton of hours are in Ridley by accident. Sephiroth I tried to main since he came out basically, but it's hard to stick with him for some unknown reason, and thinking about picking characters that might help me more with improve at general mechanics between characters so I can transfer skills between characters faster. Currently deciding between Lucario, Meta Knight, Joker, and Inkling because they kind of represent how I would like to play Smash in a competitive way in all their unique ways. - Lucario underwhelms with low aura, then slowly overwhelms until terrifying the opponent at high aura. He has a nice "flow" to his movement - Meta Knight is just constantly in your face, standing there menacingly as he punishes any little mistakes you make. Up air (and dair) combo is very addicting, but among the hardest combos in the game (so hard that I struggle with it too much to land it in live matches) - Inkling just feels like overwhelming competitive aggression (though part of that is KOing only at high %s), but somehow feels more "normal" than a lot of characters in the roster. - Joker feels like you need to outplay the opponent the entire game, and feels like he needs fundamentals more than most characters (well, minus when arsene comes out. That's just a power trip). Maaaybe Mii Swordfighter, Fox, and Wolf. Fox & Wolf are just so powerful that it feels like they carry the player. Mii Swordfighter I don't know enough about, so I don't know if they are too weird to help learn stuff. Rivals of Aether: Elliana. Love the character, love all the projectiles, love the heat management, love being fast in the air while being heavy. She just has everything Rushdown Revolt: Afi & Galu because it's fun to control 2 characters at once, and they are just fun characters. Haven't played since the big boy got in the game though Brawlhalla: Munin. Gotta have rockin bird with a scythe for a guitar. Bow is very satisfying as well Guilty Gear Strive: Bedman. Takes what I love about R.O.B. and Ridley and fuses them together
