      Yes it is. A bit overprized but nice.

    averages 125 MPG if u plug it in at night once or twice a week (gets up to 80 kms of just electric driving per charge) then automatically goes into hybrid mode when the battery gets low to shelf-charge.

      If you dont have to drive far and plug it in you will almost never need gas.

      @@MattTheCarguy That can be a bad thing if you let it get excessive, I would highly suggest refilling the gas tank at least 1 time every 2 months to prevent gas from going bad (yes that does happen it's a pressurized tank and probably can extend that a lot longer but honestly, I wouldn't recommend it). It can do damage to the engine and would require alot in maint. to repair.

    I wish it was not so rugged inside, and more nicer inside.

      I agree. It needs refresh on the inside.

    An interesting consideration is the longevity of the gas, particularly if your normal use allows you to run electric most of the time.

    • @MattTheCarguy
      @MattTheCarguy  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think you should not let it sit for more than maybe couple months at the time.

      @@MattTheCarguy Some might say more often. Some suggest #1. Either way if you are a city driver you are going to burn some gas. Thanks for the reply. Go Jets

    Not because it was not made in US it’s not qualified for a federal tax rebate that sucks

    • @MattTheCarguy
      @MattTheCarguy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, but some would argue that because it is made in Japan it is better quality. But it would be nice if there were some rebates applicable.

      @@MattTheCarguy exactly. Thats the point. That’s why I didn’t get it. I just bought 2 days ago I thought it’s gonna be qualified but sadly it wasn’t my bad on my part I didnt check first before I got 1. Some how im thinking that I’ll be saving $16,500 including the rebate from toyota (leasing) of $6,500 plus $2,500 from state (OR). :-( you are right a bit over priced but the performance is good though

      Made in Japan, If I recall correctly, there is only 1 issue and problem with the Prime models, there is a corrosion issue of a wire harness that runs to the back they had the problem since 2021 and as far as I know it still exists the harness is $4000 + labor.......so keep that in mind.

      @@nocturnal101ravenous6 i read somewhere that all of 2024 models are coming with the new harness and its not orange. This being a 2023 may still be affected.

      Bing Chat says that "2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime, including the Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) All-Wheel Drive (AWD) model, is assembled in the United States." But Bing Chat is wrong sometimes.

    I'm so tired of these models having basically everything except wireless charger for mobile. Just give me a bloody wireless charging pad, I don't care about the rest! Instead I have to spend 10,000 dollars more to get it -_-

      Well I mean that is the car industry $20 item they would charge $300+ for, I am surprised to see usb type C ports to be honest. Car companies are not known to adopt stuff fast and Toyota is slower, look at how long it took to get Android Auto and Apple Carplay that was practically an industry standard for years.
