...I'm actually a bit surprised how far down the list Ohio was. But its legendary coaster collection is dominated by just two large parks.
I recently moved to the “crossroads” region of Texas, 2 hours from Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. Quite a few coaster day trips away, Im slowly knocking out the major and minor coasters near me.
Thanks for the advice. If I ever get out to Lost Island Theme Park, I will: "No-Puko"
''NOpuko'' 😂
Glad to hear that my state -- Minnesota -- has a healthy 17 coasters!
I think someday Florida will pass the other ones, because if SeaWorld continues to build one coaster a year, Universal opens their new park and Disney someday tries to make a new park because Universal got one, the FunSpots build an RMC like ArieForceOne and Merlin possibly even tries to get them involved, they will make it someday. And you have to consider that California's Great America will close in the next few years, an maybe don't relocate all of their Coasters to Discovery Kingdom. And who knows, maybe SixFair wants to build a Park in Orlando just to annoy Disney and co. 😂😂!
Btw loved the two videos! Lets hope that some of AirtimeThrills viewers check your content out too (like I did) and sub (like I did).
So glad that you collaborated with Airtime Thrills. Found you through his channel and your content seems awesome.
Came here from part 1. Subbed because you can NEVER have too much coaster content.
True.
Congratulations California! You have the most coasters! I’m glad Pennsylvania and New Jersey are in the top five!
The Dominator shade is unforgivable
Here in California we do have many quality rides from the general publics viewpoint. However, coaster enthusiasts may disagree otherwise. That's the reason why the west coast parks gets little attention in the national coaster community.
Excellent video and collab! Wow, I did not expect my home state of Wisconsin to be in the top half!
As a native Texan I had no idea we had that many coasters. I’ve ridden most of them but there’s a few I’m missing. I’m just proud I’ve got credits at the now defunct Joyland
I didn’t know you started this channel with a different name so I’m glad I saw the first video so I could subscribe to this channel
I miss Geauga Lake😢. Imagine how many coasters we would have in Ohio if it was still open.
Great video! I enjoyed watching!
This was a great collaboration! As far as catching California, I don’t see any state ever catching up with the Golden State unless they lose some major parks. Florida and Texas will keep adding them, but a lot of Texas coasters are small Kiddy coasters and Florida seems to be more focused on quality over quantity with their world class theme parks. It will be interesting to see if Pennsylvania will keep up with Texas in Florida also.
California *will* lose California's Great America in the near future, so that's several right there unless they move some to Discovery Kingdom (which is now conceivable).
Thats why i love living in Texas..Especially just an hour away from Six Flags Fiesta Tx..I did visit cali last year and i must say i loved there coasters at magic mountain. I cant wait for Sea world san antonio to announce there 2025 addition..Rumor has it that its gonna be BIG..
Love the collab idea, would also like to see a Canada version!
I’m glad somebody finally put title twister out of its misery with this video about a week ago when I went to SeaWorld San Diego I asked if title twister was open the worker I talked to said that it was closed and they might put a new coaster over there, and if I were to guess which type of coaster RMC raptor
Love that my home state Iowa made the 2nd video instead of the first.... need to go to Arnold's Park and complete the credit count.
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but to my knowledge, Michigan actually has 15 coasters and not 14. There's Michigan's Adventure with 7, then the 2 Craig's Cruiser's, Arzo Sports & Fun Park, and Airway Fun Center each with 1 a piece, which makes 11. Then there's Cedar Valley's Wild Frontier Fun Park and C. J. Barrymores both with 2, which makes 15.
Also Massachusetts has 16. 11 at Six Flags New England, plus 2 operating at Edaville, then add on 2 alpine coasters and the 1 at Mass Moca and that adds up to 16 if I'm correct.
I was about to comment that about Michigan. I just did a tour of all their FECs over the summer, so I knew that count seemed off by 1. I checked to see if anything had been removed since the summer, but it doesn't seem like it.
First time i've heard this song in like 6 years, awesome. (intro)
Since Canobie is my home park, the state in which I've done the most coaster-riding is easily my next-door neighbor, New Hampshire. But I've only ridden half of the coasters there (used to be slightly more than half, but they tore out the Canobie Corkscrew). I need to remedy the lack of alpine coasters in my experience by trying some of those out, since I live within a reasonable drive of several of them.
I feel blessed to have the mighty one-two punch of Six Flags New England in my own state, but it's a bit further away than Canobie so I don't go there as often. I love Mass MoCA but have not finagled my way to obtaining its bizarre cred.
I've had a dream for a while of just doing a coaster tour of Pennsylvania. (Really, separate Western PA and Eastern PA/NJ tours might make more geographic sense.)
Also worth mentioning is the American territory of Guam, which has 1 roller coaster! 😲
The other territories and D.C. don’t have any, in case y’all were wondering.
The Ultra Surf that SFOG is getting next year is very exciting. I’ve heard about how people are unofficially calling the ride “Aquaphobia” due to the fact that the name may have gotten some recognition. It’s only a matter of time to see if that’s the official name or will it be named something else.
Blue hawk and Gasm 1 2 punch was so funny
California has quantity, but not enough quality. We are in desperate need of a B&M Hyper and/or Giga.
Gigas are kind of overrated though.
yeah, we have some great coasters, the best probably being Twisted Collossus, but nothing here is really top 1 worthy.
Bro, you got X2, stop complaining😂. I'm just playing, but seriously.... X2
@@Spike-sk7ql X2 is so overrated. Sure its a little bit intense in some parts, but that's about it. Even wonder woman in the same park is waaay better.
Wing-coaster too? I know we have fliers, but CA ain’t got wings.
I believe New Hampshire may have 11 coasters. A place called FunWorld has a small kiddie coaster called Orient Express, as least from what I recall. Perhaps it closed? I am not certain.
I think Florida eventually takes #1, Great America closing,
Seaworld has been on a tear adding coasters, Disney could always consider adding a new park, universal has been adding coasters there as well. It would not surprise me to see Cedar Flags in the next 15 years look to build a property in the region either.
And as much as I hate to say it and the whole idea, Magic Moutain might be in trouble again. Six Flags has come close in the past to shutting the park down. Development around it is going crazy right now and the high land value, combined with the massive amount of coasters + reduced competition to Knotts (which has a better location).
Magic Mountain has so many coasters if they relocated 12 of them to other parks they would be 12 new experiences they can use to draw people to those parks.
I hope this doesn’t happen, but under this new company I can see it. We all know what happened to the last two major parks to try and challenge Cedar Point (Kings Island which got bought by them, and Geauga Lake, which Dick Kinzal murdered with smile on his face while harvesting its rides).
I would be all for Six Flags moving X2 to Frontier City!
@@OklahomaCoasterFan You and Air Time Thrills lol... Although SFOT could really use it...
Pennsylvania also has the oldest operating roller coaster with Leap the Dips.
I’ve only ever ridden coasters in Minnesota, Virginia, California, and Michigan.
Happy birthday to you!
I live in NC, and I drive past SantaLand on the way to Cherokee (not important why)… Every time I drive past Rudy, I’m tempted to stop just to claim the credit.
I.... honestly didn't know my home state has that many roller coasters.😅42 yr old female Floridian here
I feel like I’m trying to stay away during a power point presentation at school lol. Let the other guy do these , please.
How long does it take to edit a project like this? You must have locked the script before we knew about the CF / SF merger.
I hope the combined company will downsize only by selling parks to new operators. I'm afraid that some coasters will be scrapped due to corporate synergies.
I'm always so surprised at My state of MN. We really don't have much haha but it's still more than most.
"Cedar Fair's finest park, Michigan's Adventure" heh.
1:51 New Hampshire also has more quality coasters than Washington.
Epic Two Parter
How can you mention Kennywood without no word about the woodies of Kennywood?
9:42 “anaskeetsa”😭😭
6:07 Steel Vengeance and Maverick: You rang?
Correctly squeezed in praise for Ravine Flyer II!
It’s the most overrated wooden coaster I’ve ridden
Fiesta Texas had 13 with kid flash counting as 2 btw
If PA and NJ ever combined to form a single state, that would be enough for #1.
Los Angeles as a whole seems to be the coaster capital of America
HOLLYWOOD DRIFT, COMING TO BE CALIFORNIA'S BEST COASTER
10:44 Wouldn’t SFOG count as 14 with the water coaster because Kid flash is 2 credits
I'm going to make a short summary of the video:
California and New York have quantity, Ohio and Pennsylvania have quality. Texas and Florida are in the middle of this spectrum
I am shocked my home state of Missouri is that high up the list.
Same for Tennessee even though they’re mostly mtn coasters/gimmicks
Orlando has the best coasters
What state will catch California? Well it's easy. Gotta be Hawaii. Just put 30 coasters in each island and boom. Ok I'm kidding. The real answer is probably Florida. :P
I think Texas has the potential to catch up to California since its the second biggest state and also number 2 in the amount of coasters it has
I doubt that will happen very soon because of California's giant advantage but it's more likely to happen in a few decades with CGA closing. And if Houston ever actually gets a new park that would help.
I am still just astonished that no one has bothered to try and build another park in that area. I don't count the coastal parks. It's not like AstroLand died because it's impossible for that giant metro to sustain a major park
One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of the states that punch above their weight population and weather wise have high union membership, which makes sense, better pay and more PTO make visiting parks easier. If parks are serious about their long term survival I feel like lobbying for pro-labor policies would honestly do them real good
Like historically Pennsylvania Ohio New Jersey and New York
Im a Union Ironworker in Ny and am literally planning the best summer of my life next year. Cedar Point, Multiple Six flags; Darien Lake, Great Adventure, Great america, America. My union pay and easy hours for vacation are allowing me the freedom to do so. Without it I doubt i would be able to afford it at all.
*pain in rustbelt* I think that has backfired pretty badly in some case.
yay my California is #1!!!
2:28 Typo?
My mistake, should’ve said #24
Ties should go to overall track length instead of alphabetically.
Well you’re gonna have to redo the entire video, you left off Texas’s alpine coaster (don’t laugh, yes there is one).
13:05 The southeast quarter of Ohio has 0 roller coasters.
Bananas
17:09 yea that’s not gonna happen
YOOO
no way he said zippin pippin is better than hades
Ohio is not small. 7th most populated...
Jesus is coming soon. Ask Him into your life. Cleanse you from ALL unrighteousness. Make Him your Lord & your Savior. One day YOU will go to Heaven. Amen.
