So, there is a strategy. Accept that you will be dealing with crowds. Be aware that cottage country exists. Go on days when people go there. Accept you will be standing in line at least part of the day. So, go stand in line for the rides that are always going to have long line. Behemoth, leviathan, etc. but stay the whole day. The park is open late, and the line to get on random flat ride isnt nearly as long at 7 pm or 8 pm as it is at 2 pm. In the evening you can go on many of the rides, like thunder run, with basically no line at all.

Lost Island just dropped a teaser hinting at two RMC coasters coming to the park, a Raptor and Wild Moose.

I would love to see Ky Kingdom get a new Vekoma launch coaster with 5-6 inversions. But as For Cedar Fair parks; they have imo neglected Valleyfair far too long; it needs an invert/stc, and a new Mack striker coaster would be awesome and make the park worth the trek up to MN.

The old Fire in the Hole ride was so painful to ride, for me at least, and TnT also hurts to ride. Time Traveler is the smoothest ride and one of the few rollers at the park that doesn't close if it's raining. The only time it'll close do to rain is if there's lightning, too strong of wind, and/or if it downpours enough to block the leed operator's view of the track. I miss working there lol

Vortex is mid, Flight Deck is amazing, The Bat has sentimental value as it's been there since the previous century

Typical, the #1 attended park in both Cedar Fair's & Six Flags portfolio was overlooked and forgotten..... Knott's Berry Farm. They do 6 million+/yr BTW (source: cedar fair Aug 2023 earnings call). I know they're not getting g the Giga they deserve, but their remodel of the Swartzkofpt Shuttle Loop coaster into Montezoomas Forbidden Fortress, an LSM randomized launch coaster, it's scheduled to open in 2025. Its OK, the eastcoast coaster community routinely forgets about the west coast, I would too, you guys have all the BEST in coaster tech in ALL generations. All we have is the 4d coaster X2, everything else is a smaller version of something or clones 😔. 40 million people in California yet our lineup is lackluster and nothing special 🤦‍♂️

I might see my home park, Kentucky Kingdom, getting a Vekoma Launched Suspended Family Coaster because they haven’t added a launch coaster since Greezed Lightning.

What about ValleyFair!? They've been doing work on the old Dinosaurs Alive plot from what I know. That plot is big enough for a new coaster, plus considering that World's of Fun and Dorney just got new coasters, they seem like they're due for one.

Six Flags Great America has started teasing something on their social media with the caption "FearTheWrath" and was also up where the Mardi Gras Hangover used to be. This coincides with the name, "Wrath of Rakshasa" that was filled by Six Flags earlier this year.

This is my home park. I'm going to be trying it out next week sometime (got my Season's Pass). For the price they paid, I kinda wish they went with a coaster with inversions, since the previous Corkscrew had 2.

As a Torontonian who grew up attending Canada's Wonderland frequently, many of us have our own names for some rides (and maybe even some tips). Dragonflyer, for example is generally the first roller coaster people will go on as it's the closest to the entrance of the park. We referred to this particular Roller coaster as Head Ping Pong, as this ride had a tendency to bounce your head (repeatedly & constantly) from right to left off the restraints used to keep you in the ride. The tip here is to keep you head against the left (if I recall, it's been like 25 years 😅) side of the restraint to reduce or eliminate your head being used as a ping pong ball 😂. Other names we had were the Mind Buster was affectionately known as the Butt Buster due to it being a wooden coaster. Vortex (🤔) was f that due to the line being 1-2 hours long all day. The only time you should go on this one, is if you get in as soon as the park opens, and you beeline for it. But again that was 25 years ago, it may have changed since. Wild Beast was/is the other wooden coaster, and since it was in the furthest corner of the park, it usually had less riders. In fact, near closing time, there were so few people in line, that we were able to just stay on it and go for multiple runs consecutively. Now I'm wanting to go check it out again since its been so long.
