    For me it's the zero G roll inside the supports on Steel Vengeance. I believe it's the third one. It feels like it's gonna keep rolling forever and there's an element of handchopper.

      Well i never was in america but i think my fav.inversions are 2 and its Zadra zero-g stall its so amazing feeling with lap bars and no supports under you and its really lond and the second its The Smiler sea serpent roll its smooth it pushes you in to seat and then you turn left up and do a dive loop what can be better? (Zadra its inversion 1 and on The Smiler 9 and 10)

    I'll forever love the double corkscrew on Vortex at KI. Into them right after the midcourse. You CRAWL through them. Also, the ending corkscrews on Farenheit. I'm not sure if they're some kind of decreasing radius or not, but the whip coming out of them is excellent. Honorable mention to Alpengeist for having the best Cobra Roll ever made.

      @JohnDoe-nn7up 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love to see the Caroline's representation! Afterburn has 2 of the top 5 inversions at CW, the Batwing and the last corkscrew. I know the batwing is two inversions, but I count it as one element. The other 3 inversions are the CHS JoJo roll, Nighthawk loop, and Flying Cobras cobra roll. The last one is so fast and intense going forwards, but going backward it gives great hangtime to the front and back. FC and NH are 2 most underrated rides I've been on, along with Dragonflier, which I found to be miles better than FCE at Dollywood.

    As someone who hasn't left Europe, Ride To Hapiness' flying snake dive is my favourite. It already inverts on the way up, and you never touch your seat throughout that entire element. The ride's Jojo roll is my second favourite inversion, especially in the front row. You feel yourself almost sliding out of your seat and it is awesome.

    My favorite for sentimental reasons has to be the double loops on the accurately-named Double Loop at Geauga Lake. It was my first inverting coaster and while I'm sure it was all kinds of Arrow janky, it was mind-blowing as a kid, and it's not like there were a lot of other options in 1982. And the first time I was able to ride it was near close when there was nobody in line, so they put us through three times in a row.
    Next favorite was everything on Raptor, since that gave us something inverting at Cedar Point other than Corkscrew.

    This is why I don't like RCDB, the way stuff is classified on there is complete bull crap. The pull out of the drop and the backflip are the inversions, not just random parts of the ride; it's not about what the track does, it's about what the seats do. (I also dislike the cutback on Steve [not sure why you called it a stall since it doesn't stop for any length of time..] I've never liked how it knocks you, especially when you have your hands up and hit the person sitting next to you @.@)

    Goliath's Zero-G stall is the best on any RMC, quite possibly the best in general. The coaster is super short, but that stall is amazing.

      @markingtime 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I couldn't believe he left it out completely. I was waiting for it and wondering where it was at first and then realized, ohh that will be top 5 or even top 3. Then it's just not there. Strange taste in inversions putting some basic as heck inversions on there and leaving out the best zero g stall in the world.

    • @markingtime
      @markingtime 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @studio732jrl2 he had multiple repeat inversion types including zero g stall. And I'll tell you right now neither of those stalls are as good as Goliath's. I've been on all three. Oh well to each their own.

    The big apple dive loop is interesting. It looks just like the only other Togo dive loop i know of, on their one dive loop hyper twister model.
    I don't know how many dives they ever made, but it's very distinct

    My all-time favorite inversion type is the Cobra Roll dating all the way back to Drachen Fire. So, my favorite inversion ever is the Cobra Roll on Alpengeist. Kumba's is really good as well as Raptor's, but Alpie's is just more intense. Never have a rough ride no matter what seat but the back row just rips through this inversion. Great list though.

    • @ashleighelizabeth5916

      Alpengeist is such a great coaster. The first drop and the Cobra Roll are definitely the highlights on that coaster for me.

    For me, it's the Mosasaurus roll, also my favorite element. I don't know, but I just love the idea of extreme ejector paired with extreme laterals plus the awesome scenery and visuals. It's the best way to end one of the world's greatest coasters.

  • @coasterinc1987
    @coasterinc1987 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    an intersting list of inversions for sure... but as you compaired some of the same elements in multiple coasters, heres a follow up question that could cause controvesy... how many coasters around the world are just clones, and are these clones considered as different credits? That would make for quite an intersting video

    Was very surprised not to see The Flash (Vertical Velocity) at SF Discovery Kingdom, Dollywood's Mystery Mine, Kennywood's Steel Curtain or Knott's Montezuma's Revenge on the list.
    With so many zero-g stalls listed, the overlooked Six Flags Great America's Goliath is in my opinion, the best.
    And I would include an honorable mention for Disney California Adventure's Incredicoaster. It may not be an extreme vertical loop, but it is a super-fun and an iconic element.

    Haven't been on either Steel Hawg or El Loco, but Green Lantern at Movie World is the first inverting coaster I ever went on, and it seems like that's got souped up versions of both of their inversions.

    Buy or Sell: Inversion-based layouts will continue to be outdated and less common until they almost fizzle out entirely.
    At least inversion based layouts that are designed to be relentlessly intense like old B&Ms. It seems like newer B&Ms, RMCs, Intamins, and even Vekoma, SnS, and Mack are opting away from extremely intense rides that scare the GP away, and focus less on the intense positive Gs that inversion-based layouts have. Loopy layouts still have lots of airtime sprinkled in (Raptors/RMC conversions/Vekomas) or the loops have hangtime (Macks, VelociCoaster, etc). I suppose the exception to this right now is Gerstlauer and their ability to give major, inversion-based rides to small parks on a budget. But I could see this fad losing steam to small airtime coasters like the GTX or something similar.

    The inverted top hat on the Mr Freeze coasters is so awesome. For me I’ll never forget being blinded by the light following the launch out the building and then by the time I could see anything I was already halfway up the hill leading into the inversion, and the tight radius makes it very forceful. I wouldn’t put it in my top 5 or anything but it’s pretty awesome.

    Not much beats the slow roll on X-Coaster at Magic Springs. For an otherwise terrible park, that slow crawl to the top followed by the slow hangtime roll is hard to beat. It's much better than the Skyrocket 2 coasters.

    I rode Dominator completely trimless a few weeks back, and the corkscrews were absolutely INSANE. I don't think I'll ever get a ride like that again, as it's never come close to the speed / whip I got that day, but that will stay with me forever.

    Personally, I don’t even think Sky Rocket’s Zero G roll is the best inversion in the park. My favorite has to be Steel Curtain’s Stall. Like the rest of the ride, it only runs very well in the afternoon, but it is then more intense than SR’s ZG roll and more sustained.

    For me it’s the batwing on afterburn. (Has to be in back row) it is so forceful that i grey out almost every time I ride it and the tunnel just makes it even better. It’s like it wants to try to hide the greyout lol. But it just rips through the batwing. And pulls 5g’s through it
