Oh my puppy guide!! I watched your puppy tips ...and the 10 reasons you don't want to adopt a Doodle. I ticked 9 of the ten reasons as desirable traits.
But our doodle, Haruki, turned w this summer. My son and puppy have birthdays 4 days apart. Haruki wants be on you or at least close enough to lean♥️
He is SOOOO much like Finn...Haruki is a parti coat...so think Finn with black ears. We are using touch to help Haruki place himself in the heel position.

My dog has now taken to grabbing anything he can to get a reward for dropping it. It is a constant struggle to keep items out of his reach to prevent him from grabbing it. How do I fix this behaviour, if I just ask him to drop it he sometimes does but then lunges for you if you have nothing to trade. He wants to trade everything and anything for a treat. How do I fix/stop this?

My puppy ended up growling/ barked when he was eating, and i just went to reach for the leash since i was about to take him outside right after. First time he did this even though just a few seconds prior to that, i was hand feeding him and doing a little trick training. I also have him wait for his food before he can go for it. He does prtty good. So that rlly caught me off guard Bc I’ve done things to avoid that. I test it here n there to make sure he’s okay with my hand around his food while eating to make sure he’s comfortable with me. Knowing I’m not going to just take away his food

Do you have any tips for picky eaters ? I have to hand feed the food to him and he is only 1 year old. I tried keeping him hungry, making it play full, got him checked at the vet, changed brands, adding his fav treats to entice him but the best bet was to force hand feed it to him. 😭

Gosh may 5 month old baby fur is a biter if you could see my hand you wouldn't believe it. When I hand feed him he uses his teeth so I've stopped.
I've taught him basics tricks sit, down and rollover, hand shake but whenever i give him a well done treat he grabs it with his teeth sometimes he would jump for the treat with his teeth. I'm at a loss with my Milo's biting that I am crying right now. I am expecting babies soon and scared for my triplets when they arrive, I don't want to give up on him nor do i want to keep him locked up all the time once my babies are here. I'm literally at a loss. Also he bites my feet when we walk. He has all the chew toys in the world but nothing.

Aghhh I know what ur going through since I have a malinois (I am glad I got through his puppy years) I have problems with him being too protective over me and being rough when playing but what got me through his intentional aggressive biting was I'd keep a bag of treats with me in my pocket at home and whenever I walked pass him and he left me alone I'd give him a treat (but since your dog has problems with food I think it's best you cue your praise word and throw the treat iver at him) the moment he starts to bite I'd use a spray bottle (if normal water doesn't work add some vinegar my dog's hate that) And for resource guarding what worked for my little poodle was to work on feeding time first so like in the video I made her wait for her food and instead of petting her while she eats I would just sit down next to her for and ignore her growls when she stopped growling at me I'd move closer and closer till I'm right beside her (this does take a couple of days to a few weeks so be patient) then I'd start petting her once she fully stopped growling at me (when you start petting your dog it will start snarling at you and it might even attack you but by petting your dog while it eats you're teaching your dig that you're not there to take its food but you're there to just give him food and praise, nothing else and also just a reminder to not touch your dogs food bowl while it's eating and never take away your dogs food when it growls at you or snaps at you that'll just contribute to the problem even further) Also while your dog is still resource guarding its food I personally think it's best to stay away from it when it's with its toys just to be safe because it might further its problems. Given I have no idea how aggressive your dog is so this might not work but since your dog is still a puppy it's the easiest time to start training and getting rid of these bad behaviours.

My Saint Bernard puppy didn’t like the yak chew I gave him. I think it’s not reinforcing enough. If it’s super long lasting he loses interest. He doesn’t like the antlers either. He likes stuff he can eat in one sitting like salmon skins or bully sticks.

    • @ccap3211

@@Emily-ug5xm yes I do kongs a lot. I do Greek yogurt and pb or pumpkin. He likes them but it’s impossible to get all the food out. The hole is so small that he can only get food out of the top third portion. Idk why they don’t make the hole bigger. J might try to cut mine. Some people feed whole raw meals out of a kong. I have no idea how the dog can get all the food out.
