A tip on transitioning to a Glock from other handguns. When I go to grip a Glock I use my thumb to guide onto to the grip rather than my trigger finger. This rotates my grip slightly to the trigger finger side. This fills the gaps in backstrap contact which reduces felt recoil and decreases recovery time. More importantly it makes the first shot stop going high left (for me) and makes target reindexing after each shot natural.
Doing this in a nonfire practice I find the sights are perfectly aligned when the sights come into focus. Your first shot is gone long before your eyes focus in both competion and real world scenarios (according to interviews with survivors).
Caliber choice is easy. Find something reliable, you shoot well in a size and weight yiu really will carry. Now read what it says on the slide.

I will try the technique when unholstering and see if it helps.
I wholeheartedly agree with you theory on what to carry- “program compliance” (as Paul Harrell calls it) or a actually always carrying a gun, and being able to accurately shoot it are far more important than the caliber that people tell you to carry

M&Ps are better than Glocks in general. At least in my view. Thanks for the video

@@crankygunreviews I am a Glock guy, so I have the Glock 22, 23, 27, and 35 in the .40 S&W flavor. Honestly, I like the G23 least of all. It is still a good pistol, but I actually like the smaller G27 more than the G23.

I own both the Glock 22 and the M&P 40 2.0. The M&P, for me, is a better firearm in terms of accuracy and controllability. I have had no problems with reliability with either one using multiple types of ammunition.

Is your extractor spring weak? Good comparison, some people don't like the 40 . Looks like you shot the m&p better

6:10 Yes, that is a Gen 2 Glock 23, so it is at about 30 years old, if not older. I wouldn't be surprised if the extractor it the extractor spring has been warn out, which could be the cause of the failures to extract.
