Fun fact, (i thought everyone knew this) You can just gently preload the shifter, and when you flick your wrist off the throttle it will pop into the next gear no clutch needed. I've done this on every bike I've ridden ranging from 1980s XS1100s to modern CBRs and Vmax's. Try it. You'll be shifting like lightning. It doesnt hurt the machine if you do it right, which is very very easy. I win almost every race because for some reason nobody does it. It's not complex nor uncommon, but I never see anyone do it.
I want to get my wife a low rider s that way she can join me on my rides..but this is a stylish bobber I heard about previous models being unstable at high speeds due to suspension issues..she sat on one at our local dealer and I fit her perfectly, wondering how it would do on the highway...
If you got the money get the low rider s. Main thing is the suspension is much better. But the mainnn thing is the LRS has 6 gears. Bolt has 5. Honestly I never did much highway riding. Because if doesn’t have that overdrive gear. My hands got numb. If I could do it over again I’d get the low rider s. I’ve never owned one but that’s one of the bikes I wouldn’t mind owning. My next bike is the fat bob though. LRS is a close second.

@@carlostrujillo3854 both will be fine regardless. Bolt is an incredible machine. I’m at 17,000 and have only done 3 oil changes and 1 rear tire. Never changed spark plugs or battery. I’ve also ran it with a full exhaust and intake. I never put a tuner on it. That has been about 10,000 miles. The bike and engine is bulletproof. Good luck and definitely let me know what you end up choosing.
Hi. If you have to choose what would you choose? Iron 883 or Yamaha Bolt? What is the feeling on the road with Bolt? Do you have any experience with Iron 883? Which one is the best for loud sound?
I’d definitely say so. I had a sports bike. Honda CBR 600RR and actually “downgraded” to this bike. I’ve had this bike longer than I have ever had any of my other 4. So it’s definitely a good bike. You can get one for cheap. 3-5k. And the engines can take a beating. I have a full exhaust and an intake. Never tuned it (don’t recommend) Almost at 15k miles. Only have ever changed the oil. 3 times.
At 1:30, eat your heart out, Jess (her. two. wheels.)! I’m callin’ ya’, girl! Don’t, for a moment, think your Dyna holds a monopoly on that tune! Like I’ve seen, and have been disturbed by, in a couple of your videos!
Are you on stock tune? I have a similar exhaust on my bolt on stock tune and it pops a lot on decal like yours, I read that means it’s leaning out and can damage the engine have you had any issues?
It’s stock tune. I had my exhaust for about 16,000 miles without a tune. Had an aftermarket exhaust and aftermarket intake without a tune for about 10,000 miles. No issues at all. Bike is bulletproof. But I do recommend you get a tune. Ivan’s isn’t too expensive I hear good things about his.
It burns you all the time. Eventually you’ll learn how to place your feet when you stop. Otherwise you’ll just get burnt. I do not have passenger pegs.
I don’t have a tuner so mine doesn’t run as good. It’ll hit like 100 before I back off. And probably 110 miles in the tank. A tuner would help both of those.
Although I’m looking to get something else soon I do love the bike. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Buy used. You can get one in nice condition for half the price of a brand new one. That bike is a tank. Engine seems to be indestructible. I’m at 17,000 miles. 3 oil changes and one rear tire. That’s all. No spark plugs, nothing else.
I'm really glad I watched this, I was planning on buying some new parts to do the mirrors, I didn't realize it was as simple as just flipping the stock ones. It looks great! It sounds great too! Did you have to remove the passenger peg on the right side to fit the exhaust?
@@SmallButMightyx Yeah I live in some apartments and the neighbors don't like my brothers Vulcan 650 (Two bros exhaust). Not sure if this is louder or not, but when I find out I'll let ya know :)

Jordan Joestar Hmm, could you make a video about it?
I do this as well, better than half clutching on some occasions. Might be jerky sometimes though :p
I do it on my semi truck 13 shift, never thought I could do on my bike, good idea, usually it shifts better when you don’t use the clutch
I do this too, it makes riding more fun. I do use clutch when downshifting tho.
Great sound on a good looking bike but ya gotta ditch the warning sticker on the tank.

Around town it should be fine, but the gears are pretty short so I wouldn’t 2 up the highway
