    Had a 24x25 done last fall, black & gray two tone. Paid extra for residential walk through & overhead door. Just under $10k all in. Did Blutex foam core reflective insulation & electrical myself, probably another $1500 in materials.

      Yeah between permitting costs and the concrete being done by a family friends company and lots of other things the price would vary a lot but I didn’t mean to at least add the price of the building… I’ll be doing another video here in the next week or so on some interior stuff and I may just touch on pricing at the beginning…👍🏼

      Prices are tuff states, counties and even manufactory are different but it would be nice. I'm here in NY having just had a 24x36x10 quoted thou EB Carports and metal buildings. The building was $15,441.58 the concrete quotes are coming back From $9,500.00 and up here in NY need engineered drawings for the concrete those quotes are coming back at $800.00 plus test pit quotes are coming in around $500. to $800 for the pit and building permit fees are based on the square footage.

    Do you get birds nesting up under the eave trim? Sure is nice to see those chalk lines. A big fear I have with getting one of these buildings is that I'll get the "B" team that just eyeballs everything. Looks like you got the A team!

    How happy are you with the roll up door quality? When closed, is the seal good enough to keep stuff out? I'm getting advice from multiple folks to go with panel high rise tracks as a better option. thanks

    • @The_Heights
      @The_Heights  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For me personally I didn’t want to lose any of the extra ceiling height in my garage with the traditional garage door frames that hang out into the space At that 8 foot height of the door since I had 10 foot sidewalls in a 14 foot ceiling height… So the roll up works great for me when completely closed and locked the seal is good… On the sides however where the wheels roll up the track you have a little more gap/space for things to to get in if you don’t add an aftermarket barrier of some kind which they do sell but overall I’m happy with it… I just sealed everywhere I could

      I'm in Va and I just did 24'25'x12' garage with a 12X21 lean-to. Mine was $14K for the building and the concrete was $10500 cause of my unlevel lot and had to have the back sitting on 5 rows of block. Stay away from Carolina Carports or at least hold that last check until u are happy. Im still fighting with them on several (8) fk ups after they said they were done. And if you go thru another company, make sure they not with CC. I went thru Millennium Buildings who pawned it all off on CC who had Jrs Garages & Buildings do the install. Too many hands touched this building but Im holding $6,151.37 check unil I'M happy. Whatever u do DONT PAY THAT LAST CHECK UNTIL YOU GO OVER WITH A FINE TOOTH COMB!! In fact I encourage anybody to mail the last check when u r happy, not while they there holding their hands out and saying they are done.

      @bruce2460 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Jgirwarn They pawn the install out and the ones that did mine sucked azz. The whole left side of the roof the moron on top screwed right through the roof and didnt hit the supports. Not even close, I'm talking he hit half way between the supports. He didnt catch it till he did 2 whole rows like that. How do you go screw happy and not realize that is no resistance & why wasnt a chalk line made to help hit the supports? Then he tried to silicon it. Cause I said that wasnt acceptable they up and left to go do another job, told me another crew was on the way to fix it that day. The other crew was these same morons that showed up the next day and commenced to make 8 major screw ups that 2 weeks later hasnt been resolved. Im holding the last check of $6k+ until I get satisfaction. I suggest you do the same with no matter who u go with or you have no leverage on getting satisfaction. Good Luck.

    The following comments are copy-paste from another video review of someone's Eagle Carports install that I posted. I think it's important for people to know what happens when you work with Eagle Carports. Stellar sales experience set us up with confidence... but buyer beware!!!
    We're currently in the in-between: our garage was erected, a shoddy job - many issues match this person's (in a different video I found) - but we also have other issues.
    I asked them what options we have. They said they'd send out the original crew to fix the problems. The photos and videos I sent to Eagle Carports were taken AFTER I had the original crew "fix" them, before they left the first time (in other words: don't send the same crew).
    So, Eagle Carports said they'll send a different crew. First date they were slated to come, I received a text saying they would be delayed til the next week. Then, it was pushed to Friday. Friday morning, they informed me they were running late. No one came Friday.
    HELLO SATURDAY MORNING AT 6:45AM (the ONE morning I can sleep in): Phone call, "I'm at your front gate." Um, what?! NO! There was no call yesterday preparing us for this, and it's Saturday morning at 6:45am! WTH?!
    To inform y'all of our issues:
    Again, same as this video, at least what I watched of it (admittedly didn't watch it all - I was rudely awakened by their fix-it guy so I'm up now and going to post my experience to save others from this experience). Other issues: our price point meant free matching hardware - we got silver (our garage is off-white/bone colored). All the edges (bottom and sides) had exposed insulation sticking out... really good wicking material to grow mold after 1 good rain. The crew didn't erect it per instructions: parts labeled for "back" were installed on the front, the garage doors didn't line up with the prefab brackets, so the crew made their own holes. Same dented-in overtightened screws. Really concerned about the roof construction after watching someone else's review showing it leaking- our interior is covered by the insulation, so we won't know how much it leaks until it's saturated (which will be too late: welcome, mold!)
    Of interest/note: our concrete slab was perfect BEFORE. Since the erection, there are cracks throughout the slab traversing end-to-end. We gave them the date of slab completion...
    We had asked about OPTIONS. They offered to fix it. Stung after the first crew (who also demanded us to feed them! Yes, we offered breakfast tacos as we did for our concrete contractors, but they came to our door asking for lunch, and THEN again DINNER! Thank goodness we had a frozen pizza) we hesitantly agreed. Now, this morning's rude awakening. Frankly, my husband would've been happier to accept $ off the bill, except that whatever we would do will void the warranty.
    Yeah, I'm starting to think that they only post the best reviews, and that they remove anything negative. Now I'm curious how many GOOD reviews are recent? Perhaps they're all pre-COVID? 🤔
