- Cost breakdown of my new 30x30 metal building in Florida from Carports Anywhere LLC
350 - permit
2900- paying garage coordinator and 10% of building
1600 - dirt & tractor work
7400 - concrete
12,000 - building delivery and installation
ROUGH TOTAL -$25,000
I just had a 30x30x12 built in April 2023. I had a house built with a basement at the same time so i had plenty of dirt to level the ground. The concrete with footings, rebar, gravel, plastic sheeting and labor was $8k. The building with two 10x10 roll up doors and upgraded man door, waynes coating on the bottom, color match screws and no windows plus a 40 year warranty was $12,300. Me and a buddy just put a 100 amp service panel with power in a few weeks ago. Next is lights, outlets and a garage door opener. Insulation hopefully before the georgia heat returns next summer.
Where did you buy your building from I'm fixing to buy one mine's not as big but I want one of the same size as the one you have can't find one that size that cheap everything I find here in Cordele Georgia or Albany Georgia everywhere else in Georgia is way higher than what you pay for years they want I'm looking at and just priced has 2 9 x8 ft roll up doors warm walk indoor no windows it is a box Eve vertical roof $10.000 in a 26 by 25. Will you send me the information where you got yours from
where did you buy yours? I’m in Ga looking for the same size.
Thanks for the video man, I’m in Florida and looking at this in the near future. Congrats on your new place!
Appreciate the info amigo. Getting ready to pull the trigger on a 30x40 in North Carolina. Trying to find the most reliable company to do everything from start to finish. So stressful!!
Who’d you end up going with? I’m planning on also doing 30x40 in NC.
Please don't do a dry pour man, you'll end up redoing it later
i am doing a 30x30 as we speak concrete slab is costing me 9700 with 1ft footers around with steel and a 3ft x3ft x30ft for 2 two post car lift the building is 15000 and i am going to run the shop on solar i am going to do my own insulation as for keeping it worn in the winter i am going to use a wood stove
Did you pour the concrete pad 30'x30' or was it different size?
@@Hemenechi I got it pour
That is a nice building. I built one out of a carport, but I used 14ft walls for my semi-trucks. I noticed that yours is not insulated. Being in Florida, that might get a little warm in the summertime. Enjoy your building.
Im from Florida, same building more or less, cannot exist with A/C and insulation FOR SURE.
You should always insulate the ceiling of a metal building. During certain times of the year water will condense on the underside of the roof, it will build up and run down to the nearest beam and drip off. You don't want it raining water inside your new building.
Nice building. I'm looking at a building myself. tossing back and forth traditional pole barn vs metal. How much do you anticipate in return on this when you sell your home. 26K for 10years?
My father in-law had a small metal shed same construction. One tree limb and that was the end of that. With a wood construction it's easy to fix the local home Depot has everything.
Nice , so the strategy was add value to the property, wait for appraisal, then submit to lender to remove MI 👍👍
Where did you find the lady who coordinated everything for the process?
There's a man who re Virginia who oversees the installation of these buildings. He did a friend of mine's bldg and he did a great job. His bldg turned out great.
i had my 30'x 40' block garage built for $12,500 with 3 windows, entry door ,18' garage door and a full electric panel and a separate plug in for a welder hook up and 8- 8ft lights and a concrete apron that also had the entry door pad included all in one pour...in 2001...
Key was 2001, nearly 24 years ago
lol I know right. thats double today @@joyfilters
Yeah it's 2024 now you might as well double that price or two and a half times that price
12,000 will not cover the concrete work with footings.
I would add a shelf around the window so it looks intentional
Thank you for putting it in the description 😭
I would have put the metal on vertically instead of horizontally. You will find that it catches dirt, pollen and crap that makes it look dirty all the time.
higher cost
@@1246pop Why higher cost? It’s the same surface area?
That's what a water hose if for.
@@robschmieg6211because that's how these kits get you. Standard is horizontal. Premium is vertical
Thanks for the advice!
I agree with 1560 please don't do a dry pour. Don't believe everything you see on the tube. I am in Florida also. Do you know how wide and deep your footers need to be. Thinking about doing what you said. Footers then later on poor the center.
My footers are 18 inches.
Dumb question, how well do these metal garages hold up against hurricanes?
How do you get away from mortgage insurance by making your property value go up?
PMI drops off when you reach 20% value owned on the property so you can wait for time to do so , or force the property to go up in value by adding assets.
Alternative to Cahill in the marion/levy co area?
I’m seeing this six months later. Hopefully you chose to do a standard core instead of a dry pour. Dry pour is a terrible idea. It is not durable and you will definitely be cleaning up your mess and doing it right the second time.
I'm buying a home and plan to do exactly what you did. Question.... Can I pour a concrete pad on top of my asphalt driveway with the building set on that pad? Or will the asphalt have to be removed before the pad is poured?
I’m sorry ! I’m not sure.
I just cancelled a building because the builder was trying to give drawings that weren't for my building so I could pull the permit . When I told them I needed the correct drawings for the building they wanted $2500 for them.
Hello. Do you did any water or Electricity?
I will be surely needing the fill dirt or whatever dirt.
Great advise! Thanks man! Followed!
Well done vid with breakdown....thank you
How is it with the heat on the roof?
Is this build hurricane rated ?
Yep , one wind and it’s in the Gulf !
When anchored to a slab, most withhold 140+mph
Ive never seen that metal run horizontal like that. Seems like it would wick water in the seams.
I was wondering how this type of design would do against condensation/humidity
Almost all metal buildings where I live have horizontal siding. It's code in most cities and counties. Exterior cladding must be of similar style and color to the primary structure. If you have board and bottan siding you can run the metal siding vertically.
When shopping for metal buildings horizontal steel is cheaper for some reason. Vertical costs more.
How does getting a shop permitted get you out of home insurance?
Mortgage insurance.
Thanks for the info.
Electricity?
Who did your building?
What is your wind rating ? Hurricane?
165 mph
Just got the 30x30x12 building today $9800 with the tax.. NC
Can you make a video on it I live in sc and looking to put in a 30 by 30
@@EggdDhg Will definitely do that !
What company did you use I can't find anything that cheap around Georgia need a foxy with vertical roof 2 10 x 8 doors and one personal door. The cheapest one I can find in that size is 13000
@@vancemoncrief3389 Strong Steel Building, I believe their price depends on the state ..
Did you use a monolithic slab? or had the footing done first?
What county in Fl was this job done?
Pasco county
I have family up there. good luck with your channel!@@franksilvestri7665
Ahahahah 😂 a slope? Ive got a 20% grade im trying to level 😂
You had me until dry pour…
Ripped
My god your neck of the woods is a god damn rip off. I live in upstate NY, same size building with a new pad 21k out the door.
Im way upstate NY. Did you pull a permit? Ive heard about footers having to be so deep.
@@darkbikelife4270 in my town anything over 144sq ft ya gotta have a permit. I didn't do footers. Just a 6in thick pad over compacted gravel. If you can find an amish crew that isn't booked out to next year you'll save a ton of money and be able to go bigger or have a nice options on the build compared to any general contractor out there
@@samtaylor8734How did you pass inspection without the footers
Hey Sam - what part of upstate? I'm in the finger lakes area and looking to get a building done.
