I’m not buying diamonds no more. Wish I would have known about Moissanite before I did

Yes I would only if she knew about it though I would never lie to her and say I got her a diamond that’s how you build distrust in the relationship. I know a lot of woman are brainwashed into wanting diamonds but I feel the biggest part of the issue is just lying to her and saying you got her a diamond when it’s not when you shoulda kept it 100 with her from the jump

The Ultimate woman's engagement ring set in Natural Diamond Version, HPHT Version, Synthetic Moissanite Version, and CZ version. Traveling rings, a ring for traveling outside of the country, ring for going to the pool or beach, a ring for going to the gym, a ring for doing everyday chores... I don't think a woman is going to complain with four engagement rings..
I'm trying to source natural moissanite crystals to make a custom natural moissanite tennis chain for my lady water bear customers!

Natural moissanite is extremely rare…way more rare than a diamond…they literally are found in asteroids that fall from space..good luck trying to find one of those in the wild..

@@honestbrute9216 Well, naturally occurring hexagonal silicon carbide does exist in nature, very small millimeter sized crystals have been discovered throughout the world. Is some of these discoveries the result of synthetic abrasive contamination used in boreholes from the mining industries...? It has been documented that many of these reports and discoveries are carborundum contamination. Now, Shefa gems in Israel publishes actual annual weights of natural moissanite mined, they have never mined more than 10 carats annually in the nearly three decades of reporting gem and mineral production.
Now, these asteroids that you speak of is unfortunately incorrect, moissanite doesn't come from space, and the story of Henri Moissan discovering silicon carbide crystals from the Canyon Diablo Meteoric fragments in 1893 is nothing more than historical error. What Henri Moissan came across in the year 1904 was residuals left behind after the hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid treatments that were used to dissolve the large sectioned off meteoric fragments. No reports whatsoever about these silicon carbide crystals were mentioned in 1893. It does state the weight of the meteoric fragment that Henri Moissan was studying that was donated to weigh 53 kilograms. It is documented that Henri Moissan discovered crystals no longer exist, and no, they are not stored away in a museum somewhere in France. 1905 Article by Moissan does mention that a 183 kilogram meteoroic specimen was donated, and was held at a museum in Paris.
Other researchers tried to replicate processing the same fragments deriving from the original specimen from the 53 kilogram meteoric fragment, unfortunately nobody else encountered these hexagonal silicon carbide crystals. By 1912, it was already established that this occurrence was simply a result of carborundum (synthetic silicon carbide) abrasive cut-off wheels used to section off the meteorite.
What many fail to realize is that synthetic silicon carbide was mass produced as an abrasive prior to 1890 by Edward Goodrich Acheson, who patented the material as the trade name carborundum.
As for the Beta Silicon Carbide or the cubic structure discovered, this only exists as nanometer up to microns in diameter sized grains. The "rarer" Alpha Silicon Carbide or the 2-H polytype is the only hexagonal polytype that exists in meteoric fragments, this polytype is documented to be nanometers up to a micron in size. The Cubic and the much rarer 2-H polytype silicon carbide is the only two polytypes that exist from meteoric fragments.
The synthetic silicon carbide used for gems today is the 4-H and 6-H polytype, this is also the most common polytypes used for the abrasive and industrial technologies sector. With millions of metric tonnes of this material being produced annually. The world leader according to the USGS website is by far China, also another reason why the gemstones are almost solely manufactured their. China is extremely efficient in growing this material!
If Charles and Colvard didn't hold the patents up until 2015 (USA), and 2018 for the rest of the world to facet this synthetic material for use in the gemstone trade, the price would be pennies per carat for faceted gems today. Charles & Colvard was the marketer's behind the Henri Moissan, and space origin marketing propaganda campaign.
if you read the patent Cree never mentioned the word moissanite in the patents...
      Sincerely,
      TBBW

DeBeers is the company that controls the diamond industry. They own most of the jewelry chain stores and set the prices. Going diamond for traditions sake at this point is silly. You’re just getting roped into their marketing plan. Bought a C&C Moissanite for my woman’s engagement ring. Just as beautiful for way way less
