    In general, the certificate is fake, but the moissanite is genuine-manmade, you just need to go to the lab then retest for the dimension, clarity, color and cut.

      100% I been telling alot of people I know about moissanite which I myslef have really just started learning about. But from all my research so far I think moissanite is the way to in comparison to Diamonds for most people who dont have thousands of dollars to just throw around. In the long run this will save money to go towards the wedding or your future as a couple together. Good luck with everything! And congrats!

    The certificates are just a gimmick, but the moissanites are the same 100% real, I have a 50 diamond pendant with 1 G-H diamonds smaller gems don't usually come with a certificate, usually a certificate is needed for large colored gems or diamonds - not moisannites any jeweler can verify its real

    • @MancunianStacker
      @MancunianStacker ปีที่แล้ว

      A very very good question!! Did you find the laser etched serial number on the girdle of the stone? Do both stones have the same number? Does just one have the number and one has no number? Does the second stone have another number altogether but you are missing the certificate. If you can find the number on the stone’s girdle under magnification then you can get a replacement certificate or find it on one of the many different GRA websites. Eddie should be able to show you the laser inscription on the stone because he should be checking they are there and match the certificates before selling them to you! 🤔

    Hmmm. Thnx for vid. I'm slightly confused. I just got a mossanite ring and it very pretty. But a couple things threw me off. It's not as shiny/brilliant as my other mossanite ring. The GRA website listed on the certificate doesn't match other website domains I found online. And when I plugged the ID number in, the info came up, but some things were off, such as the carat size. The GRA website says 0.5 when the ring I received is supposed to be 5 c, not half a carat. Anyone can shine light on this, it would be appreciated. It's a nice piece of jewelry, tho

  • @Renate.Maria.999

    Just because the certificate is fake - doesn't mean the stone is fake?
    I though the stones came from China where they make the moissanite themself and then add the fake certificate to make people by it.
    I'm not sure though.
    But just because they use fake certificate doesn't mean the stone ist a real moissanite?
    The grading etc is probably not the same and also to get them certified by the GRA cost ekstra...

    • @dougdouglas2112
      @dougdouglas2112 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I think you have the right idea. Just because the certificate is fake that doesn't mean the stones are or aren't fake. Besides, if it's a beautiful stone and the person is happy with it then that's what counts, right?

      You can buy a Diamond tester then test if it test as a Diamond. Currently only Moissanite and Diamond pass. So if it passes and it isn’t a Diamond then it’s an Moissanite. Or just go into a jewelry store and have them test it.

      They’re all made overseas even the big jewelry stores buy from overseas. Moissanite stones need to test positive on a diamond tester that’s the only real way to know if you have a REAL moissanite. However there are really beautiful moissanite stones and cheaper looking stones, def not all the same and I’m not taking about just the color grade. I have purchased many stones and once in a while I get sent one that’s of lower quality and I end up having to sell it for less. The customer may not know the difference and may not know any better but I do..

    I bought 2ct Moissanite ring with only cost me MYR180 (Around USD45) with GRA cert from China seller. 😂 It tested as diamond / rating 8 on diamond's tester. However, GRA website shown that the report number can't be found. I contacted the seller and he said since China still in epidemic, they can only upload the certificate after 1 week. I bought a 10 carat necklace from China WITHOUT a GRA certification because the seller platform "Doesnt allow products with QR codes". Is it fake? Almost certainly, but they claim it'll pass the diamond tester and moissanite test.

      If they test positive on a moissanite or diamond tester then they are real moissanite. The GRA cert don't matter coz its a scam as there are no actual GRA laboratories that exists.

    @elcidmusic 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Brother, I really love and respect what you build. However to be fair to the customer, I would say that the GRA certificate is rubbish! Why, simply because the cost of certification is added up to the low value stone, that certificate doesn't add up any value to the actual gemstone. A 10 mm stone will set you back somewhere between 20 and 35 dollars wholesale, the stone has zero resell value once set into the piece. I mean it's like certifying a cup of Starbucks coffee... Has no sense and makes no difference whatsoever.
