The shirt I made this week is a quilting cotton, too. There's so many different patterns to the fabric and it can be inexpensive, too. You may want to pick up this pattern to sew for your hubby or your boys. It's pretty straightforward and there is a tutorial on TH-cam to follow. You would enjoy it. I recently picked up the New Look shirt pattern for 50c at my local Op shop. I want to make some summer shirts for my husband and possibly the sleeveless version for myself. So it's great to see what it looks like on your husband. He picked some great fabric and buttons. Your veggies look great.

Hi Grace, wow you picked up some bargains at that sale. All those lovely embroidery threads 😍. I love that shirt pattern for Chris as well. I've made it about 6 times for him and it has always worked well. The only thing I do is make the collar slightly smaller and reduce the sleeve width. I love that Tom picked out his own fabrics etc, it's much safer that way 😂. I've never made a shirt for myself but yours looks really cute. I don't think I've ever used purchased bias binding as I hate the feel of it!! It's always like cardboard 😂. The stuff we get over here is anyway 😆. Really enjoyed your gardening segment, do you have problems with pests over there? Slugs are our worst enemies. Have a great weekend x❤x
Yes Carole, whenever I have leftover fabric then I try to make the bias tape. It's so soft and flexible. I loved the AC/DC shirt you made. I'm in love with the pattern and Tom and his brother are too! I''m very busy with it! We have garden pests but not slugs. It's a constant battle. 🥰

Grace, what a good deal you got on the embroidery thread but, be careful with rayon thread it does not do well with heat the iron, and the dryer just be careful with it. The garden looks so good you are a master gardener so proud of you there are no limits on your talents. Grace, I am in the proses of putting designs on a USB drive for you I will need your address to send it to you.
