You inspired me to sew my own shirt and I attached the pictures. It took me about 8 hrs. spread over three days. Thank you for making the video this is my first time sewing anything.
As a guy I have taught myself to sew at 53, learning along the way. I was doing this pattern following a different site instructions and I had to abandon the first project, I was using a cheap material as a practice. I then found you tutorials and OMG what a difference, it was so much clearer! I am gonna find a link to send you a picture of the finished item. It wasnt perfect but thats what practice makes! Jamie from Dover UK😁
You are a lifesaver! I bought this pattern, after having made a few pull over shirts, I got to the collar point and I was almost crying. The pattern instructions are just plain wrong. I almost quit sewing right then and there, until I found this video. I love your process, the way you prepare the pieces before construction, which is not always how the pattern instructions flow. I absolutely love your site!
Thank you so much for this series! I feel much better about attempting this pattern now 🥰 I’m planning on making matching shirts for my boyfriend and I for our summer holiday
I have not made a shirt for about 15 years and bought this pattern. The instructions are horrible (as usual) and I was hoping there was a great TH-cam video to show the construction process because I forgot some things and like a lot of us, I am a very visual. This was much better than I expected. Thank you so much.
Hello, thanks for the videos, they are very thorough and extremely helpful. I am almost done with the Miss shirt, but noticed that the sleeves are very narrow and that the shirt cuts into the armpit, how can I address this before attaching the sleeves and make it comfortable?
Hmm its a bit hard for me to say without seeing a picture but if you have enough fabric I would recut the sleeve with a bit more width and then you can slightly open up the armhole to make it more comfortable!
thank you so so SO much for these videos 💜 i'm a beginner sewist (i can make hairbands, tote bags, drawstring bags etc) and i picked up this pattern thinking it might be a little difficult but a good way to learn some techniques - and then even just trying to read the instructions for the collar i almost cried. this series made it all make so much more sense to me, and this method of attaching the collar definitely made more sense. my shirt is a quite big for me (need to double check the ease next time!) but i'm done apart from buttonholes, and so proud of it. thank you again!
