The story was slightly confusing but playing this game with headphones walking around that damn house with the Blair Witch was pretty scary to me. I jumped a couple times. Also, being in the woods at night with the flashlight and how well designed the forest was made the vibe very creepy and unsettling. The atmosphere of this game is worth an experience. Make sure to play with headphones for the full experience. It’s definitely worth a playthrough.
Just finished the game after downloading free on gamepass. The dog felt kind of gimmicky but he definitely is very useful. I don't think Ellis is a bad person, but he's been through a lot for sure. Knowing how bad mental issues can be myself, I found this game quite jarring and triggering, and left me with a feeling of dread. Seriously, all this BS with the dog is just there to hide the fact they couldn't make the environment or the protagonist or the story interesting in any way but hey everyone loves dogs right (which isn't true, that's just their assumption) so obviously the most important thing in a Blair Witch game is to pet the fucking dog so you get a good ending. Constantly worrying about what the dog is or isn't doing distracts you from the fact there is pretty much nothing else going on.
