Great video! I’ve learned so much from your channel on top of other like minded individuals on youtube. I’ve been growing mushrooms since 2012 from buying supplies from avalonmagicplants since 2012 & midwest growkits since 2014 and recently I finally got pressure cooker & other materials to be my own retailer similar to my old suppliers while being able to grow way more mushrooms for way cheaper. Would you say this method would work if I put some wood chips into the mix?

Couple of questions. First the compliment! Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. Easy to follow and understand. I hit that Subscribe button! 1) The photos at the end look like you are using this substrate in a monotub. Is that correct? 2) Have you used a wood pellet (sawdust) watered down from wood pellets as a substrate in a monotub with success? In your title you call it sawdust, but I would call what you used wood chips. To me they are two different things. What do you think? Keep up the awesome vids. Love watching you move to see if the top view camera is getting the money shots!

The 'metal safety topper' (canning rack) that comes with the canner goes at the bottom of the pressure canner to keep the contents sufficiently raised above the bottom. Use at least as much water to cover it. The metal rack used at the bottom in this vid would probably be best used on top. It looks thinner, and heavier. Switch these two.
DO NOT 'RELEASE THE PRESSURE' manually!! Let it lower on its own as it cools down. Releasing it prematurely could cause big problems.
    Also, use straw, not hay.

    • @aw2589

I hear you, but releasing the pressure really only applies to canning. Releasing manually when canning does cause big problems for the contents in the jars, the duration under pressure, etc.
