    Put any contam’d spawn outside & create a patch. Put it in a shady area where moisture gets too. Bury it about a inch deep, or just cover with coir. If it’s not buried animals may come dig some up. Either way, eventually the mycelium will overtake the contam & you’ll get fruits for years in that spot. The mycelium will grow into a mat underneath the top cover of grass, weeds, etc. Inoculating the world one patch at a time 👍🏼

      Sorry for the late reply, Mr. Swift. I thank you for watching and leaving a positive comment. I'm not that educated in the subject myself, but I keep learning at my own pace. Eventually, I hope that I can reach a position where I can teach more rather than entertain myself with my mistakes. ✌️

      It works by accident. Mushrooms don't grow on the lid or sides. They grow from the substrate. The idea of misting walls and tub sides is outdated and inaccurate. Mist from well above the substrate, only as needed and never fan either.

    Yeah their should be additional oil unfortunately in the bag, Uncle Bens is owned by Mars candy company i believe. It should say 2% or less canola oil, they like adding highly inflammatory oils to our food that dont blong in our physiology, its annoying. ✌ they should get a lawsuit for using unce bens face to sell inflammatory oil lol

      So far what I've learned bro you can do a 1to 1 ratio so jist use same amount of substrate to grain and should be good

  • @eviljoeblack

    Why did you catch hell for opening your spawn bag over your substrate? That's all I've seen the actual pro mycologists do over the light bottom layer of sub you should put before laying your spawn, makes the cake stronger and from what I've seen cuts down on side pins. Im just a beginner so I could just be ignorant.

    • @themushreport

      They can give me all the "hell" they want. I'm just doing my thing and sharing it. I will make lots of mistakes and share them too. I'll learn my lesson and also take into consideration what the community suggests. I put tubs outside, and they fruited with no contamination. Weird things happen. • @themushreport

      Gypsum provides nutrition. Vermiculite helps retain moisture and perlite is the opposite.

    • @FukNtang

      No perlite and vermiculite are 2 different things

    • @ryannunnink293

      Why wouldn't pearlite work I've seen other growers use it. If u pre soak it it holds water.

    • @FukNtang

      I'm gonna try to explain it the best i can. Try to think of vermiculite like you would sand. They both appear to be almost exactly the same as they're both a bunch of tiny grain sized mineral rocks that when are together as whole are able to hold water. Now the difference between the two is how long they are able to retain water. When viewed with a microscope vermiculite will have a bunch of holes on the surface of each grain so that way water stays on the surface area longer unlike sand which has a smooth surface area. In other words perlite is used with growing plants seeing as it actually absorbs water not what you want.

  • @ObakuZenCenter

    UB is probably the worst tek out there. Using plain brown rice or bird seed is both cheaper and gives generally better results for example. Also, using gypsum in substrate is outdated and has been determined to have no benefits for mycelium. Mycelium is not a plant and literally takes up nothing from gypsum. For more up to date growing techniques and research, the Shroomery is the gold standard site.
