Wow good on Derk for being so un-self conscious about his operation and good on Blondie for being so supportive of him. I don't know if I could vlog about it if I was getting the procedure done.

As a Turkish follower of you located in Beijing I wish you guys had more time to explore İstanbul. I believe there are still a lot you should see and taste. İstanbul is a city where you can find the vibe of local Beijing hutong food served in low tables and also the fanciest restaurants.
If you visit again try "rakı (turkish alcoholic drink) and meze". More than the food itself the concept of eating slow and having a long chat is important there. It is referred as the "locksmith of the heart". You can also have it in Beijing restaurants, Turkish Feast or Qubbe.
Second note is that. Unlike Chinese cousine and rest of the world we have very rich night snacks culture. If you didn't go to sleep early you would have seen many of them in the streets.
Let ne know if you need any reccomendations for the future :)

The friendly cat spooking you was priceless! 😂Yup, Istanbul is quite famous for its cats! The wide prevalence of cats in the city can be connected back to Ottoman times. The vast majority of Istanbul's houses were made of wood, which gave shelter and enabled the proliferation of the mouse and rat populations, so having cats were a necessity. On top of this, cats are very much respected in Islam and are considered pure for their cleanliness, thus they're allowed to freely enter homes and even mosques. But wow, all the food you had there looks so good! And I agree that a good fried bloomin' onion is perfect for a steak! The famous (not Australian) Outback Steakhouse chain in the US is known for doing this too.
The first Galata Tower was built under Byzantine Emperor Justinian. The tower then marked the northern end of the great chain, which was expanded across the mouth of the Golden Horn to prevent enemy ships. The tower contained a mechanism for raising and lowering the chain. This tower was destroyed by Crusaders in 1204. The Genoese then established a colony in Galata in 1267. When they saw most of the walls and the tower of the citadel were destroyed, they repaired them and built the current tower in 1348. This Genoese colony was abolished after Ottoman conquest in 1453, and most citadel walls were pulled down centuries later in the 19th century, but the tower remained, operated as prison, but is now a museum.

Turkey is a very famous vacation destination for Europe! It's an amazing country with such friendly people and great food. Food I would recommend to try are the dough-fried vegetables, paprika (and similar veggies) filled with rice and mint, and without a doubt try gözleme! Best snack EVER. You can go to a tourist resort with all-inclusive food and drinks, or go more the cultural route which is also very safe to do. You can easily get around by bus or dolmus, so even without a car you can easily get around for cheap. The country is absolutely safe for women, and despite expectations, feels very European. When you go wander around in Turkish cities (for example, Fethiye), off the tourist routes, all of a certain you might find yourself in the middle of the most idyllic square with locals and restaurants that make you feel like you're in Italy!!!!! I have fallen in love a little with this amazing little country ❤ I hope I can go again soon.

I'm Turkish from the Netherlands. And now everytime I go to Turkey, 1/3rd the plane is bald guys when I return 1/3rd the plane is bald guys with bandages etc lol. I'm bald .. and have no interest in a hair transplant. But it kinda makes me feel awkward like I'm one of the hair transplant tourists haha. P.s. It would probably have been better if your fiance waited until he lost a bit more hair. He barely has lost any so far it seems. And since they need donor hair, if you're planning on doing these hair transplant surgeries you don't want to waste it on a small amount. Or I guess wait too long for it to be too bad and require a large amount of transplant. From what I understand also, for some men the transplaneted hair might also fall out over time if they don't take good care and stuff like rogaine etc.
Personally, I get how difficult it is to lose your hair. When I was 15 I saw this rocker kid, super long hair etc. And like a tard I told him, hey, your hair seems to be receding. The kid immediately got insulted, said it wasn't falling out at all and then he was clearly on the verge of tears about it. I felt horrible, didn't think it was that big of a deal. I swear, it only took 6 months after that for my hair to start falling out. And it accelerated very fast after that. At 16 I started losing hair. At 19 I decided my hair had receded so far, I might as well just cut it as short as possible or shave. After I noticed my hair got really bad, I started doing some research into it and looking for solutions. Everything seemed temprorary with a lot of downsides or required you to take it daily or whatever to prevent any further hair loss (like rogaine). So I was like.. ok. F it. I'm not going to risk my testicles for my hair. It was a shock seeing myself with no hair. Had to get used to it for a few days. But now, a decade later. I can't even imagine myself with hair. Or without a beard (grew facial hair to compensate for my hair lol)

Amy is from Australia & spends most of her time in China. Derek is from Germany and only in his early 30's, with no real evidence of a receding hairline. Then out of the clear blue sky it seems like Amy decided that because she's doing well financially she wants Derek to have a much fuller set of hair so she pushed him into getting a hair transplant. Is that what went on?? Derek doesn't look like he needs to be concerned about a receding hairline for another 20 years. Amy has never talked about Turkey and mysteriously she now shows up there. Does Turkey have a reputation for being the best in such an operation and that's how she ends up going there? There's so much intrigue going on. Amy are you working for MI6??
