@@KanishQQuotes I am sure you are an Indian. Nothing wrong with it. But let me set the record straight. Your tall tale of the so-called prosperity is bogus. Until two days ago, 600 Indian were detained at a Brazilian airport, seeking to enter USA, three just killed by Mexican border force and 15 were arrested by U.S. guards entering through Canada. The Sikhs are selling land to get student visa in Canada. The visa seekers in India around western embassies are four times larger and longer than Pakistan. Should I say more about poverty in India or just stop here. The poverty is deep and you have to fight to sleep overnight in your Kolkata. spelled right? Oh by the way, the Indians who live in USA does not contribute anything to US economy. They buy groceries in Patel-owned stores, sleep in Patel-owned motels, and still wear out of fashion Indian-tailored clothes from their mohalla’s darzi. And no matter, how long they stay, they still speak in quickie-mart accent. Need me write more. I can write volumes. Next time, you say something against Pakistan think all about these. By the way, there is an immigration attorney who is doing special seminar for you.

Excellent advise by Fahad and he seems to have a very kind and pure heart. I moved to US over 30 years ago and don't regret it. My two cents for new commers. Most of the skills or degrees from Pakistan does not mean anything here. You have to get either certification or degree from local institutions to be competitive for jobs. Life on minimum wage will be very very hard on you. Anyone coming to US should not bring their children for atleast a year unless they are coming to live with their brother or sister or inlaws (LOL).
Monthly expenses varies from place to place. In California, $4000 will be minimum to survive in cheaper cities. However, in midwest, you can survive with $2000 per month. Please note that I said "survive". There will be different oportunities in different places.

I rarely comment on social media platforms. This podcast reminds me of a few things and takes me to the past. In 2010, I left Pakistan and moved to New Zealand on a work-to-residency visa. It was a single-entry visa, and when I landed there, I learned that Pakistan is not a nation. We are Sindhi, Punjabi, Pathan, Balochi, and proud of it. First, people from your own country never help you in any mean, and the next level is that they will also discourage you in many ways. As compared to it, Indians, Chinese, the Philippines, and other nationalities protect their own community and help them settle down. I am in Pakistan now because I need to look after my mother, but my experience teaches a lot.

Anxioulsly awaiting what the creativity of Raftar TV produces next. Staying tuned. Really loved the measured and calm way in which Fahad bhai answered questions with no airs of being privileged or a notch above normal Pakistanis. Liked his honest comments about loving and eating street food each year when he returns home. He also handled the question about Indians occupying high positions very well stating a fact that it's actually due to their sheer numbers and not really exceptional talent. Pakistanis are in great coveted positions and very talented too. Faisal is always a great interviewer and such a sheer delight to watch and listen to. Words flow smoothly out of him. Left Pakistan in 2009 for undergrad. For my 4 urs in college i was a proud Pakistani, promoting Pakistani culture and food. I was the " proud to be pakistani" t shirt wearing kid. As i grew older and got into the work force i started to appreciate the opportunities i got here. Everything came to head in 2015 when i couldnt make it to my brothers wedding and thought whats the point of this, i will just move. My family discouraged me from coming back and i stuck around here. Got my H1B the same year and met my husband. We have been married with kids now for 7 yrs. I used to miss being Pakistan but one day i realized, i dont miss Pakistan, i just miss my family. Every time i come to Pakistan i realize how far behind the world it is. I recently went to Uzbekistan and realized even central asia is far beyond us in culture, cleanliness, respect and womens rights. I love Pakistan but i am glad i dont live there anymore.

Of course it’s about people not country. Without people a country is just a piece of land. What makes up the image of a country is how well the people living in that country live up to their personal and national responsibilities. Pakistan is a beautiful piece of land, but it’s full of highly uneducated and selfish population for the most part. Before you start screaming at me that Pakistanis are the best. They love their country blah blah. Let me just remind you. The recent Pew research center survey concluded that 94% of Pakistani can’t wait to get out of Pakistan. Tell me how much they love their country and how much they want to stay there?
But again, I don’t really blame the general population. It’s the elite, the army generals and dirty politicians that have made Pakistan unlivable 😢

I am not quite sure if Mr. Fahad is from Karachi and he is talking about the period of terror of Lyari Gang's criminal activities in Karachi. At that many businessmen left Karachi and settled overseas. Unfortunately recently we've heard the news about Uzair Baloch's acquittal from almost all the cases, that's the evidence who was behind them and the support of Sindh Govt, let's imagine how serious provincial government is to clean the city, and you still expect people come back to Pakistan.
