You put two of the coolest concepts together, a sturdy artistic folding knife design and a Luger's retracting hinge mechanism. And here I thought folding knives couldn't get any more unique, dude this is AWESOME 🎉🔪❤ Having just finished watching the final product, I think it's easy to say this has to be the coolest knife design I've ever seen. I'd pay big bucks to get a knife like that in the future.
I believe this is the only toggle lock knife design of it's kind other than a batch of 100 luger actually commissioned themselves and honestly a far better representation of the mechanism from the firearm than what they made. Bravo indeed my friend!
Interesting how your knife suffers from the same problem as an actual P08 - namely that the charging mechanism doesn't like to lay flat when released. Rather than a flaw, I'd say that "problem" is a testament to the faithfulness to the original in your design and execution. Good work.
The best part is, he just showed the world how to make it from scratch with every step on video... a billion craftsmen in Asia now know how to make this for free and we will probobly see many of these popup for sale hopefully! I want one.
This was a brilliant make.... Mate of mine bought a Luger last September, this would be an amazing sidepiece....might actually have to make it, if I manage to find time for it...😂 ..just started a new hobby on sewing tactical gear on a sewing machine. The last time I used one was back in the 4th grade for about 2hours, so getting around and doing this might take to next year even. Thanks for the steps though...got the blueprint now.... definitely have to make at least one of these....
This was such a cool blade to see you put together, great work on all of it. I thought it was especially cool how using the scrap metal lended itself to making the luger portion of the knife look that much more realistic
Schönes Messer. Toller mechanischer Aufbau.

Very cool, thanks for sharing the handwork details, makes learning lockwork mechanisms like this easier. This reminds me of Bundeswehr paratrooper gravity knives.
Makes me want to make a model of the same and print it for casting in metal or for CNC machining; save for the blade and pins and springs. Clean up castings on the mini mill. This is fantastic work. This is excellent practical learning opportunity for machinists and CAD enthusiasts who want to design machines or tools. Thank you. Very educational and cool.
Quel talent ! 🤩
I am curious on how much this knife is. I would like one in my collection. What an amazing yet painstaking meticulous process watching you create this piece of Craftsmanship.
Ein Traum. Respekt .Meisterlich.
Have you thought about a 1911 concept? Maybe the handle is patterned after the pistol’s grip? It would be really awesome if the handle could accept real 1911 grip panels for scales. Keep up the great work!! Very inspiring!
Such a great build. I hate to say it but I think you might always have a problem with the slide metal on metal friction can be a pain in the ass sometimes
This is absolutely amazing. I would make an offer on the knife. But knowing how much time and thought goes into the process (As a novice blacksmith myself) i know, that almost any price feels like an insult even if it's fair on both ends.
Making a manually opening one would also be very popular.
That’s one of the coolest knives I’ve seen!
I thought you'd destroy a real gun based on that result, but no, it's just great craftsmanship
I went from horrified to inspired for the same reason.
yeah me too haha, this guy is crazy good at these things tho, much respect

technical term is toggle-lock
I DID NOT EXPECT THIS TO BE HANDMADE!!!! Crazy craftsmanship. I wouldn't be surprised if this dude can make an actual working gun.
Your craftsmanship is amazing. Please start selling plans for your knives.
That is exceptional work. I'm a knifemaker, but I can't do that.
