    Can you keep pothos aquarium plants with this turtle?

    Just came across your video and I love it! I have a albino RES and I think she’s blind :( I was thinking about getting a pinky belly side neck to put in there with her. You think if I keep the water warm enough it would be good?

    I’ve got a hatchling pink belly but it only eats shrimp and nothing else. What do I do??

      Shrimps should only be given as snacks because it can be addicting for them. Try giving some hatchling formula pellets or bloodworms. We made a video on pellet training for hatchlings on our channel for more info. Good luck! 🐢

    I'm curious, you just put Reptisafe in the water with no measure?

    • @vidareptilia
      @vidareptilia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We do water changes so often so we tend to eyeball it at this point 😅 but it’s supposed to be 1 tsp of Reptisafe per 5 gal of water. We also like to naturally dechlorinate our tank water on the side.

    Did your pink bellied sideneck eat all your ghost shrimp?

    • @vidareptilia
      @vidareptilia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, overtime. It could’ve been our pink belly or some of our tiger barbs that ate them

    do you have a UV light? UV lights are essential to a turtle's health.

    • @vidareptilia
      @vidareptilia  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes we do. We use the Zoo Med ReptiSun Terrarium Hood, it is in front of the basking area.

      I don't have Uv light but I keep my turtle under sunlight for 2-3 hours daily , I think it's better right? Cause it's more natural

    • @vidareptilia
      @vidareptilia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sudipchakraborty2907 typically you want to expose your turtle with both UVB and UVA for 10-12 hours a day. To stay persistent we suggest having both in your tank and connect them to a timer so your turtles have a day/night cycle 😀🐢

    Should always try and use fresh water from a water bottle. Tap water is not very good.

      When we can, we try to naturally dechlorinate our water in the sun. If not, we always use a dechlorinator.
