@@anthonylepore516 no that’s not true. If it’s riverbed sand, u can buy it anywhere, it is safe for turtles bc a lot of turtles like soft shell turtles burrow in the sand. Besides, some ppl don’t feed turtles in the tank bc turtles are very messy eaters bc it’ll just messy the water quicker
Hi 👋 love your outdoor DIY turtle tub setup idea , hope to see more updates from your channel , more about red eared slider care , cleaning tub and what's the filter tub should i use ? Feeding and basking content...😅
I am so happy that you guys lowered the water. I had the same experience with my slider. He was not comfortable in his new bin. Comes to find out he was not acclimated to the depth of the water. Once I reduced the water level he was happy go lucky. Now I gradually increase his water level as he grows. 🐢Tony's home🐢 look awesome. You guys did an awesome job. Kudos.💦 Looks inviting.💦 I want to just watch🐢 Tony🐢 swim.🥰.
Hey, i love ur vids, i have a tutrle, ive had him for 4 years now, he is bigger than my hand now, and i need to find a bigger space, so, i was wondering if u could tell me where u found that container???
Do you bring Tony and his tub inside during the fall and winter? I also live in Vegas and currently have our RES in a 35 gallon tote (his old tank cracked). I'd love to put him in a 100 gallon plastic tough from Tractor Supply and place outside in the backyard permanently in an area that gets a good amount of sunlight per day. I am thinking we would definitely need a water heater and artificial light on standby for those gloomier days.
That is great! Yes we would bring Tony inside during extreme weathers. Even though we know he would be ok outside, we bring him in just to be safe. But just this winter we got him a bigger heater and he's been ok staying outside 😀
Tony is squirtles real form lol. And if u wanted you could buy like an extra little surrounding tub/something to put the tub inside of to help It bend less. :) Edit: I am watching the video and just saw u did what I commented lol
Glass aquariums sometimes have like a plastic bar that goes across the top to kind of brace the tank. Im wondering if you attached a small piece of wood across the top of the tubs if it would hold the sides in better?
We’ve been using Marineland and Penn-Plax Cascade filters and so far so good! Any heater will work as long as you’re following the 5 watts per gallon rule. We’re currently using Zoomed Turtletherm and Eheim
Unless you’re talking about the little white packet that I showed when rinsing the sand. That is called a BioMagnet Clarifier. It came with the bag of sand, but they also make bottles of those as well.
That movie reference (punching his chest) was from the wolf of wall street!!
Tony living his best life. From rags to riches. From ashy to classy
Maybe you could get more like smooth rocks to put around the edges so it looks more like a natural pond 🙂
Also, look into the kulife filter. Just added 1 today and purchased another for our 70g indoor pond. They are rated for up to 100g.

He will be very healthy and happy outside. So nice to see good turtle owners!! You can make a wooden frame to stop the plastic tub bowing out.
How do you think that??? Its well known that you never use sand for turtles, because it kills them !!!

Tonnnyyyy 😊
Mine never bend from the water.. i use the same tubs . Also i only have to clean the tub once a month. Its much nicer than a glass aquarium.
I really liked that basking area you put in sad to see it go :(
I'll see what I can do

Loved the video! I don't currently have any turtles. But I would love to get one in the future!
They’re super cool!
Nice channel!
Note: RES eats water hyacinth roots
Why not just build a brace using 2x4s ?
Wolf Of Wall Street
What is the tree planted in the lake? Is it citronella?
The plant in the center is called Juncus “Blue Dart” @9:50 😀👍🏻
Where did you get the turtle tub? Planning to change from a glass aquarium to turtle tub
We ordered it online on Tractor Supply. Your local hardware store may have them!
How your water hyacinth do indoors

Enjoyed the video
Thank you! 🐢
Wolf of wall street. Give me my shirt lol
you can try to tie a rope around the tub for support so it doesn't bow out.
Thank you for the suggestion! We actually thought about doing that too 👍🏻
Awesome
Looks dope. Add some guppies

can you recommend an internal filter and heater ?

Nice mate
were did u get that pink belly sideneck from bc im looking for one in cali
We got him at a local reptile store here in Vegas called Scales n Tales
Where did you get the tub from?
We got it at Home Depot! Almost any hardware store should have them though.
P.S. what kind of plant is that grassy looking one. I love the way took in the habit looks.
It is called Juncus “Blue Dart”. We bought it at a pond store!
No water filter?
We do! @5:45 we have 2 internal canister filters.
What’s that thing called that was helping clean the sand
It’s called a siphon/gravel vacuum!
Unless you’re talking about the little white packet that I showed when rinsing the sand. That is called a BioMagnet Clarifier. It came with the bag of sand, but they also make bottles of those as well.
@@vidareptilia no I was talking about the vacuum that u just told me thank u
