    It's worth pointing out that you should check for the tightest point on the chain before you start. If that chain is worn, and it looks like it is, it could be 45 at loose point and 35 at tight. If you tighten loose to 35 then the tight will be 25 which is too tight!
    Find the tightest spot first and adjust to 35. Then find loose point. If that is over 45 the chain is out of wear and needs replacing.

    As usual a great video thanks. If you didn't already know Motoscan will now calibrate ESA on later R series bikes. Just tried it on my 1250rs, worked a treat.

    Dank je wel voor deze video. Heb wel een uur geklungeld ermee. Het stellen lukte, maar wanneer ik de moer weer aandraaide was het te strak 😅. Afdoende leert men toch?! Kardan.

    I've never put Loctite on any of my bikes (both dirt and street) that I've owned and I never had a problem with the axle bolt loosen. As long as it torqued down to spec.

    @theoldmechanic Can you do a video on checking the valves in the s1000r? I am coming close to the 30.000km where the valves and timing need checking :/ thank you in advance!

    I‘ve done it yesterday on my 23’ S1000R. I have 40mm. But now…the whole bike vibrates massive. I will make it loose to 45mm

      I gonna‘ try it today. Now i have about 48mm. But the chain still doesn‘t touch the under pad.
      I talked to a BMW mechanic and he said to me, this tolerance specifications are for riders with 80kg. He said to me sit on the bike, and if the chain is 1,5-2cm moveable it is perfect.

    • @MrRadialdrift
      @MrRadialdrift 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ahh, you can clearly see what number is on the loctite bottle.

      Put it on the threat of the axle 😉
