I really like what they did with them in Animated with the different colors and Greek lettering names. I’d like to see more of that in future series rather than just only Omega has a unique name and colors.

The more I learn about things that would've been featured if TF Animated had gotten a third season, the more I so desperately wish it had gotten one. It would've been AWESOME to have Sigma Supreme reactivate and transform like Omega.
It was a *fourth* season TFA didn't get, not a third! The flashback mentioned here would have been in "TransWarped", as another of the scenes of Ratchet's memories of the war that we saw in that episode.
Probably my favorite reaction from IDW when they found out about the Omega Sentinels past: "I thought Omega Supreme was supposed to be on our side." "Maybe he needed to do a genocide to figure out it's bad? I feel like that happens with Cybertronian guys some times." "You are all gross."

Omega Supreme is one of my favorite Autobots since my childhood. So it stands to reason that I wouldn't mind any videos related to his origin &background, Sentinels included

I always liked how Omega always came to the auto bots aid when needed and the auto bot return the favour by servicing, repairing and gathering energy for him.
I just realized that there could have been another depiction for Omega Sentinels, they could have also be depicted as troopers of Cityformer Titans in Cybertron's past but when Titans would have left the planet or went on deep sleep; Omega Sentinels would have become kinda state guardians of Autobot cities, each in status sleep and waiting when needed.
But from what they would protect? Titans were designed primarily as space ships and mobile bases, when most causal duties is done by regular Cybertronians. I personally prefer Quintesson origin, as it would explain existence of beings purely designed as enforcers. What is bit odd for Cybertronian design? I assume most were destroyed during rebellion, but because Quintessons didn't understand that they are sentient, some could switch sides.
@@TheRezro If any of the Autobot cites were under attack, that city could be able to activate sleeping Omega Sentinel for an aid. But if whole planet is under attack, each city would activate they Omega Sentinel.

I had seen the Omega Sentinels briefly profile in the 'War Dawn' second series Transformers cartoon back in the 80s, and thought it was an interesting use of Omega Supreme's origin. The earliest references to Guardian robots I remember were from the U.K. Marvel Transformers comic in the 80s, where the resident Guardian robot on the Autobots' ship, the Ark, went rogue and caused the apparent death of Swoop, resulting in the Dimobots self-driving themselves; and then there was the storyline which involved Optimus Prime returning to Cyberron, only to be falsely accused by the Wreckers, after being accosted by a customised Guardian robot. Both Guardian robots were visually different from those of the cartoons, but their more 'more normal' and less than gargantuan size meant they were often closer to the action. Interesting in your video Chris, how the more recent toy versions of the Omega Sentinels visually resemble a strange cross between Fortress Maximus and Metroplex. The Headmaster version in particular reminds me of Fortress Maximus and Cerebros👍🏾

Amazing! Thank you so much for this. Omega is my favorite TF, but I always enjoy content about the guardians as well. Also loved the part about the Keepers novels. I actually think they are decent and get too much hate. It's been so long, I seem to recall that Omega Sentinel was colored black and Gold, similar to Black Zarak. I'd love to see an artists rendition someday.

Once again, another informative video. I always thought he was a dull useless character for backstory purposes in G1, and then felt like he was shoehorn in the Netflix series. But when laid out with all the other forms of media, Omega actually has a good and complex history.

Again just shooting off my Headcanon: I think I would have the Omega Sentinels/Guardians as the Early Prototypes for the Titans before being perfected with Fortress Maximus and mass produced with Metroplex.

Personally, as with most things, I'm beginning to realize, I prefer the Animated version of them. In my own headcanon I call them the Omega Guardians.
Definitely one of my favorite subgroup of characters. More Guardian lore would be awesome.
I like the ideas that went into these guys from Animated, having them all named after a Greek letter.

Again just shooting off my Headcanon: I think I would have the Omega Sentinels/Guardians as the Early Prototypes for the Titans before being perfected with Fortress Maximus and mass produced with Metroplex.
