I honestly think Oda could make an in-universe reason why they aren't prevalent. Because if you think about it, bounty hunting isn't really worth it when you go higher the scales. If I'm strong enough to beat Doflamingo, I'd rather be a pirate myself and loot countries. Or if I had a moral compass, I'd be a Vice Admiral. I'm sure they have good paychecks.
Who knows. Oda sama might pull an otsutsuki type of shit LOL. When everyone opposing monkey D. luffy are defeated. akainu dragging his weakend body to the nearest denden mushi. On the other end of the line is a simple farmer living in a simple island and actually is the highest earning bounty hunter of the world. akainu offering him triple on whats written on the paper and this bounty hunter will be the final boss. I'd burn everything I own that reminds me of one piece if this happens.
Having no bounty hunters in the Grandline is a thematic theme. It's Oda communicating to his audience that you cannot go far in life if you just do things for money. That is why there are no strong bounty hunters. They literally have the weakest convictions among all One Piece characters because their goals are the cheapest there is.
@@bayekofsiwa5847 ehm, you could write a bounty hunter with the same mindset as Z actually. But I think it's already too late to introduce one if ever.

9:48 The Dressrosa arc in the anime is so slow that despite it taking place within 24 hours, it takes more than 48 hours to watch. It's literally half the speed of real-time.
Well it's gonna be slow when the first 7 minutes of a 23 min episode are rerun/intro then a min or so at the end so the episodes are really only like 14 minutes long and that's not counting episodes that are half flashbacks
I wanna see chopper using his brain point to figure out weak spots and using his different forms to take down an opponent instead of just "Monster point and Kung-fu point. Take it or leave it"
It irks me a bit that even though Nami's dream is to draw a map of the whole world she's never seen doing any actual mapping. I'm no cartography expert but mapping an island requires, at the very least, a thorough exploration of the land, taking notes, sketching, etc. - which I doubt she has any time or opportunity to do amidst all the chaos and shenanigans.
No time for that! She has to choose which bikini she will wear that day and probably having her 27th operation for tits induced scoliosis , and there are only so many hours in the day
Some of the earlier filler had her drawing out and mapping the island right after Alabasta. Wouldn’t call it filler much either since we got a lot of character interaction with Robin
@@jeeperz4365 I think it was filler, but I didn't read the manga at that point yet so unsure. There was a scene when nami tried to sell Luffy off to a traveling merchant because she wanted the paper he sold for cartography - but was broke xD She is also seen mapping things occasionally - but that is mostly filler. Same with some very nice moments with robin and chopper - all filler :( At least we get those moment, but I wish they where canon and more often
I don't hate Sabo, I just wish we got more of him and the Revolutionaries! Give us a second part of the Reverie arc, flashing back to it, with Sabo as the MC!
This would definitely get rid of most of the issues with sabo just give him more time oda is literally doing an ace all over again not giving them enough time in the spot light

YES!! IKR!! OMG fr, I don't like violence or too much gore but I really kinda want to see a bit more violence especially when they legit cut someone using a very powerful sword...I mean, it's One Piece, they talk abt dark social issues, I think it's fine to show a cutted limbs one or two lmao😂
Yea waste of a Yonko bounty hunter character, like someone actively hunting for Yonko and maybe even introduce old yonkos that got killed by the character
In addition one thing that always bothered me is that it seems the first or second round of marine fodder that face a supposedly infamous pirate never seem to know their devil fruit power or abilities and always use normal bullets on them.
@@obinator9065 Imagine how the quality would go up with that schedule too!! Spending two weeks budget on one episode would definitely make a difference.
@@monke278 Think of pacing as how fast you get from one point to another. If a story has good pacing you'll get from one plot point to the next in a consistent way that keeps everything interesting. If a story has too fast of pacing, theyll skim over plot points they could have gone in depth with and it can cheapen moments meant to be impactful. If a story has too slow of pacing, they drag out concepts and make it boring. In anime they can use a bunch of unnecessary flashbacks to pad the run time or have scenes where ultimately nothing important happens. This can leave people feeling frustrated that they watched a 20 minute episode where only 2 minutes of it was actually important to watch. One Piece Anime suffers from very. Very. Very slow pacing at times.
i dont hate he sanji vs zoro thing because you know it hits different when they team up or respect each other its like watching your cat and dog getting along its pretty wholesome
Theres certain things with pacing i can excuse where the artificial extension sort of fits, like running scenes or some reaction shots. But extending clashes really takes away from the weight and force of attacks
my personal issue is the introduction of atleast 20 new *important* characters in every arc and focusing in putting them into the most important moments instead of the strawhats whom i feel like are background characters at this point also the underutilization of franky. i think most pf the time, they don't even consider the fact that he's actually a smart engineer and can make their situations a lot easier. he's also very forgettable now (hopefully he gets a spotlight when vegapunk appears) and i blame it on his post timeskip design lol
Maybe unpopular opinion (or very popular, no idea) but aside from Kinnemon and Yamato at MOST, i really don't care AT ALL about any of the other characters introduced during or for Wano. At least on the protagonist side, some pretty epic baddies this arc. We spend so much effing time on momonosuke and kiku and kanjuro and that effing hippo headed ninja lady and I just don't care about any of them. Give the other straw hats some love they really desparately need. Luffy and Sanji have gotten plenty of character and power up love, zoro has had some power up attention but could use some more character development by now, nami got a tiny bit of love with the zeus storyline. The rest? Might as well not even be there. Brook? Comic relief. Franky? Comic relief. Chopper? Cook up some bs super cure and then back to comic relief. Robin? If there is no poneglyph, there is no robin. Usopp? For fcks sake please give this guy some sort of development. He is just annoying, doesn't actually provide any special skill to the team (Franky is honestly probably a better ranged fighter even), and it felt like during and after dressrosa we were going to start seeing some real growth, but now it seems that entire storyline was chopped out and he is exactly the same as he was before. While still a bit obnoxious pre timeskip, at least he had some wit in how he fought and was entertaining in the crew. Now he just yells about everything. Alright, sorry for choosing your comment to rant on. I just started rewatching the series, and I am realizing how little character development a lot of the "core" cast has actually gotten as of late.
Frankly and brook need more focus. Since they were basically added right before the timeskip they don’t get a lot of shine. Franky and brook both lost most character and are just comic relief now. No more man who watched all his friends die 1 by 1 and drifted at sea alone with their bodies for 90 years. No more man that’s part machine who inadvertently got his father killed. A lot of characters overall stop showing emotion for their past after their arc honestly
I think the pacing surpasses every other problem the show's got. I don't even mind that noone dies anymore, I got used to it.. But ever since the Reverie arc and now Wano aside from the dragging scenes we got introduced to the lengthy flashbacks as well.. That was the one thing one piece didn't have and we got it.. I can't forget we spent a full episode of Luffy getting angry over the wasted red bean soup and having continuous flashbacks of how happy Tama was while eating.. I mean yeah it was an emotional moment I guess, but a full episode? The pace was already bad, but now it went downhill..
Thank God someone out there has the balls to list these legitimate complaints, it drives me mad that OP fans near universally consider this series "perfect" with no flaws at all with even considering flaws at all creates witch hunts against the so called "heretics".
broke: sanji vs zoro woke: shipping sanji x zoro bespoke: enjoying the comedic interactions between sanji and zoro while appreciating both characters for their individual quirks and strengths
@@00_runitup everyone knows it’s never gonna happen. shipping is just about liking the idea of two characters together. and it's fun, unlike powerscaling which is utterly pointless to me. idgaf who is the strongest lmao.
But a lot of people do, and mocking their preferences is very disrespectful. Power scaling isn't the problem, the problem is those arguments tend to become toxic. But we're not here to kid ourselves either. "Shipping" usually becomes just as toxic just as fast. You just don't usually see that in One Piece because there's not much emphasis on that. I don't particularly care much about power scaling myself, but pretending that shipping characters who don't have any attraction towards each other (or even that sexual preference), is "better" and mocking others, is just as bad.
@@jackjacques7495 I wrote the longest reply to this but deleted it. Gonna try to make it shorter if you wanna hear me out. The Sanji vs Zoro debate has existed since dinosaurs were around. Most people are tired of it. So in this case, when a large portion of the fandom is in the middle this food fight (and tbh most of the toxicity stems from the act of comparing two characters who both have passionate fans) it's almost comically refreshing to ship them together instead. This is why I joked about shipping being "woke", it's basically the opposite of the power scaling thing. And I didn't mock anyone. I said it was pointless to me personally (GLR said something similar, that it "doesn't matter"). I replied to someone who told me to "get over it" because Sanji x Zoro isn't canon. And now your comment about "shipping characters who don't have any attraction towards each other" actually helped me prove my point. This is what I'm tired of. This idea that everything needs to be evaluated with canonical evidence like "character A is stronger than character B because of this fact". I want to have fun. This sucks out all of the fun for me.
The anime dragged out scenes alot. Jimbei's first attack he does in Impel Down against the regular guards takes a whole minute and 10 seconds. Majority of that minute is just Jimbei and guards just standing still waiting for something to happen.
Nahhh, I actually like that scene, that was Jimbei’s combat debut and it showed a level of Fishman Karate that others who use the style have not obtained.
0:37 - I'm the exact opposite, as this doesn't bother me one bit as it makes the deaths that last more impactful! Also, to me, it makes sense due to the fact people in One Piece can canonically regenerate teeth and bones by drinking milk and their are people like Whitebeard, Big Mom, & Kaido who can survive insane levels of damage!
The fake out deaths made me not even care for many deaths. I didn’t feel sad when Pedro sacrificed himself because I didn’t believe that he would actually be killed off. It really ruined the emotional impact.
Known bounty hunters in One Piece : - Roronoa Zoro - Yosaku and Johnny - Baroque Works Billions - Franky Family - Jean Ango in the Colosseum Which is at least two for each sea, so will we get a last super strong bounty hunter before the end of One Piece? What would corroborate that is the fact that in some translations Zoro is called cactus head, Barock Works bounty hunters were on cactus Island and Jean Ango was wearing a cactus on his hat. And all of them were the first bounty hunters we were introduced to in each sea. And the seconds are Johnny and Yosaku as well as the Franky Family who both call people "bro". Last bounty hunter calling people "bro" confirmed? Edit : Oh yeah, I had completely forgotten Daz Bones and Abdullah and Jeet, but since they were introduced as former bounty hunters (unlike the others I mentioned) my theory might work.

nami wants to make a map of the world, hence why she's travelling the grand line. Brook is fulfilling his promise to laboon by travelling the gl Usopp wants to become a brave warrior of the sea, hence the fights + adventure Chopper wants to find medicines, which he believes can only be found on the gl Franky wants to build the best ship in the world, and he wants to see whether it can do that
Only one member of StrawHats doesn't have one certain dream, it's Sanji. At this point I don't even understand what he wants, maybe he wants to find true love, maybe he wants to find All Blue, maybe he wants to forever be with mermaids. Or maybe everything at the same time.

One of my main gripes with OP is the Gum Gum fruit actually being the Nika Nika fruit. I loved the idea of Luffy becoming such an important character with just a mediocre devil fruit, made so powerful by his creativity and determination. The idea that he his now bascially omnipotent is just boring in comparison and feels like a cope out.
Chopper: yeah, i want a cotton-candy sandwich! Robin: I'll just have a cup of tea. Franky: I'm gonna have cola! Brook: A glass of milk for me! GLR: i don't like mushrooms!
6:26 Honestly! Even having a bounty before was kinda scary because you knew the govt and the bounty hunters knew who you were and were gonna come for your head. Now its basically a way to show that the character just got a power up/higher status in the world. The meaning of the bounty changed when the supernovas were introduced (to me).
Although I love Luffy and his straightforwardness and honesty, sometimes I do get annoyed when he just does something without thinking, like I feel sorry for Law since he's been planning this whole thing for God knows how long and then there goes Luffy 😭 I mean it does work out in the end but still 😭
Two things I don’t know about one piece the most are: -Oda makes some arcs long for no reason. -The emotion of anger, sadness, happiness gets mixed up. In that episode where luffy get angry because the red bean soup was wasted, when it was supposed to be a angry voice, it was the same sad voice when he apologized to merry.
Good point. Elaborating on that, it would be a dope idea to create bounty hunter focused filler arcs. Then instead of having drawn-out scenes, we could actually get subplots that provide an opportunity to explore the One Piece world.
(And while Toei might not do that in fear that the ratings will be bad for filler arcs, I bet many fans would eat them right up if they actually illustrated some official aspects that Oda once said; or even inofficial ones that explored the Islands or people the Straw Hats are on.)
Vergo should've been in Trebol's position. He's not an annoying character, his dutiful and loyal attitude make him the perfect righthand, dope character design, heavily combative and seeing the relationship between Doffy and Vergo expanded more would've been interesting.
Exactly. Even though Vergo was better than Trebol in every way, you can't just switch them around that easy. Vergo was fulfilling a job that only he would be able to pull off.
Imo a complete switch wouldn't be impossible with a little addition and subtraction, I see what you mean though. Trebol is the family executive and he's the one that persuaded Doffy to become powerful and take revenge, his main purpose is fostering and enforcing Doffy's hatred and will. Vergo was Doffy's inside man with the purpose of watching the Marines plans on the inside. To switch these characters around give Vergo a reason to hate the world as Doffy did, say Vergo was attracted to Doffy's will as he also hated the world and wanted it destroyed and because of that supplied Doffy with the means to take revenge on the world. Give Trebol's Devil Fruit the ability to shape the slime around him into a different appearance allowing him function as a spy. Vergo would support Doffy as his exec and Trebol would support him from the shadows which feels like how it should be right now, it's a bit of stretch but I think Oda could've pulled that off and it would've work better story wise.
But Trebol was the one that gave Doffy his fruit, so he probably deserves to be his right hand man. Also the fight would be a lot more boring with Virgo in the fight because he only has haki and combat skill which means he will be easily matched out by Luffy
@@Ballsackgamin Vergo's matches against Sanji, Smoker and Law were pretty cool imo plus Vergo dosen't just have haki, he has full body haki which would've been a dope ability had he not gone up against one of the strongest Devil Fruits, I'd say a match between Luffy and Vergo would've been cool even though Luffy would win.
I never had too much of a problem with the anime pacing, until I heard about the fantastic pacing in the manga. I love the anime so I don’t really care but I still envy how good manga fans have it...

Not sure you can count him since he was always recognized as a former Whitebeard pirate and he only wanted to capture Luffy or Ace to bargain them for a seat as a Shichibukai, not for the bounty.
@@cipherP9 I agree it's highly debatable, though he didn't want to capture specifically Luffy or Ace, he was after any high bounty so he could become a shichibukai. He didn't know Luffy was Ace's brother or had beaten crocodile, he was just after him because he saw his 100million bounty. Though he wasn't recognized as a formed White Beard pirate by many, the other shichibukai and many members of the WG didn't know who the hell he was when Lafite presented him, and he didn't have a bounty.

2:27 Honestly I feel like chopper has been quietly collecting W after W in the New World Era. Let’s look at his accomplishments. Fishman Island: Although the Sanji gag was annoying Dr. Chopper and his medical skills were the introduction of the blood transfusion plot point. Not to mention his mastery of monster point post time skip Punk Hazard: while not being given a proper fight punk hazard served as a point of emotional development. While it may not have been at the forefront of the story the emotional development bleeds over into Zou. Where you can see the full picture of choppers feelings towards Caesar and his resolve as a Doctor. Dressrosa: Not too much happed with chopper in this Arc but he was promptly sent to... Zou: Although brief Zou was a good arc to show how Chooper is seen by his peers and others. The minks loved him not only for how much she resembled the mink but also his intelligence and insight as a doctor. Whole Cake Island: it’s Hard to argue that Chopper wasn’t one of the MVPs in WCI. While acting as an independent team leader he was able to secure the mirror world for the Strawhats and helped with the brook retrieval. For the first half of the arc chopper was infallible and extremely necessary. Wano: ~spoilers for anime only~ Chopper may not have had a large role to the first half of this Mega arc and that’s completely reasonable. But there are a few memorable things he’s done that was critical. Getting Big Mom to Udon Prison, saving the prisoners from Queen’s poison, saving everyone from the Ice Oni virus and getting more allies because of it, and slapping tf outta Queen. Not to mention the amount of chopper related theories and predictions for this arc. Like a smile fruit cure or Kaido getting a rumble ball and shit like that. All in all new world Chopper may have been lowkey at times, but he has definitely has massive affects throughout the New World Era

Uh oh, Marcon is a #10, cant take any form of criticism even if it’s a legit point. BTW “two weeks to read two chapters”??? You don’t read the manga do you? If he takes a break he doesn’t comeback and release the week he miss before & add another chapter for the current week. No, it’s 2 weeks to read 1 chapter.
The other comment people who can’t take criticism make is “How arrogant. You don’t know better than the author, get off your high horse.” God that statement is the worst, I don’t have to be the author to criticize something.
I feel that most bounty hunters don't even dare to go after the higher bounties we are seeing in the current part of the series, most of them are in one of the four blues or the early parts of the Grand Line. It's not worth going after one enormous bounty when several smaller ones do the trick.
That’s what I thought. It would be more likely that we wouldn’t see bounty hunters on the Grand line and especially not in the new world. After all the farther you go, the higher the bounties and the stronger the pirate. And a lot of bounty hunters would probably just join the Navy
I think the reason there are so few bounty hunters is because the world government won’t coexist with any power that isn’t part of it or actively bending the knee, so anyone strong enough to hunt worthwhile bounties would be treated as a pirate before too long.
One of my most hated things in OP is that Robin is a devil fruit owner but her powers are rarely used or used weakly such as only some arms on the soldiers and so on. But the things she could do with her abilities is INSANE. She never gets to show it tho. It's always Robin and her hieroglyphs or whatever it is. Same with usopp. He could do so much more with his abilities. Even learn fighting without any powers like Franky and Nami. If the more "side characters" learnt to fight with their fists or swords or even manipulation, then the characters would be much more even in powers. I don't like how the others are seen as side less useless crew other than zoro sanji and luffy. There is so much potential. And same with the huge boobs Nami and Robin suddenly got. And not only that but the new outfits(that are now their forever outfit for a while) are both so to showcase their cleavages. They are more than that.
I honestly understand the anime why they do the reaction shots and stuff as an animator myself. It's so much fucking work to animate i love it but adding those easy reaction shots really takes some stress off myself as an animator.
I can guarantee that the reaction shots are a Toei staple since they been doing it since the 1980's with Kinnikuman & Fist Of The North Star. It might've happened earlier in the 1970's but I'm uncertain.
I don’t like how one piece is gonna end soon, I knew it’s selfish of me wanting one piece forever. But one piece ending is just to sad for me to handle, But I still do appreciate oda for making one piece longer then he said he was gonna do.
Regarding the "make your own manga" statement, sometimes content creators get way way above of themselves so far as to see their success on any platform beyond the work of the autor and that is really toxic and diminishing.
What I hate the most about one piece is on episode 4 we think this shanks guy is cool and can’t wait to learn more about him soon and 20 years later on episode 1000 we think this shanks guy is cool and can’t wait to learn more about him later
I hate the ticking clock in One Piece. It never works, it's always something like destroying the entire island, and it never creates tension. No, the sky island isn't going to be destroyed, no one is going to die, and I'm tired of the repeated shots for the ticking clock mechanism.
I personally like sabo. He could DEFINITELY be implemented better but overall i can look past the shoehorning and see some charm and appeal in his role.
As an anime watcher, oh how I’m trying my hardest to hold back my own anger. Manga readers acting like celestial dragons and many other stereotypical manga vs anime stuff.
@@suprith5443 So true. I recently discovered "One Pace" - a fan montage of the original anime and it's so much better. It usually cuts out about a third of the material to leave only the juicy parts.
In the facts you're right that if an only manga reader belittle an only anime watcher just for watching the anime he is shit I totally agree cause everyone does how he wants but as a former anime only watcher who tried manga I can totally understand their point because after knowing the information of manga scans i can tell you that anime pacing is hell... it's just hyper slow, and they make everything they can to keep their episodes 20 minutes long (whch I find being the worst idea to make the anime more popular cause we learn nothing new in 20 minutes for a thing we could have read in 5 minutes). I am thankful for the early anime for getting me in OP cause it's a hell of a story that i discovered thanks to them, and still when I see the early part of the anime i find it pretty okay/good even compared to the manga till the Whole cake arc (where i couldn't even continue the anime, cause it was too damn slow and annoying). So to sum up I understand the manga readers who says that anime has defaults but I don't give a shit about those who say that anime only watcher are shit just cause they don't do as they think should do, they are just shitty trash talker that think they are above others. So to sum up do as you want of course, but if an anime only watcher was to discover the manga he will mostly understand the criticizes against the anime, which still is not a reason to belittle others for their choices. (and of course a manga and anime watcher/reader can totally prefer the anime)

For me, One Piece has 3 major issues, ranked in ascending order of impotence: PROBLEM N ° 3: A lack of stakes Oda refuses to kill his characters, or kill them as little as possible. Suddenly there is no stake since we know in advance that no one will die, not even a daring secondary character. I can understand that he doesn't want to kill a Mugiwara, but like there are so many side characters that should have died, like when is Brownbeard still alive? And once we learned that Doflamingo broke his promise to give up his title of warlord, what was preventing Law from just throwing Caesar into the water? Finally here, Oda saves too much the setting with his characters, suddenly there is more stakes. PROBLEM N ° 2: A universe too Manichean The characters are too embedded in a role and lack ambiguity. Either they are good, noble and valiant heroes, or the last of the dirty assholes on Earth. Even characters like Sanji who are selfish and only think about chicks or Law who was part of the Don Quixote Family in the end are good guys and you see it right away. There are very few nuanced characters, there is Smoker, why not Aokiji, but apart from them we are in the cliché. Like Dressrosa: Kyros killed two people : "he's not nice". Princess refuses to love Kyros because "he is not nice". Princess gets kidnapped. Kyros saves the fragile princess. Fragile princess falls in love with Kyros, strong and brave, and examples like that are in abundance PROBLEM N ° 1: The status of women. Woman is an object of desire without a brain and they are clearly under-represented in this work: - 10 Mugiwaras, 2 women. So yes they are well written and relevant, but hypersexualized as soon as possible, you just have to look at Nami's post-timeskip outfit and the 75,000,000 plans on titties to understand it. - 7 Warlords, 1 single woman and whore Boa Hancock revolts me. Her only interest is to be hot and to love the main character. On half of her appearances she is completely naked. Her power is fucking seduction. Her only character trait is her boobs. Fuck yourself, Hancock. - Dressrosa, colloseum. ~ 600 gladiators, 2 women. One of them is an important character in the arc, Rebecca. She's a poor, weak little woman who doesn't like to fight AND WHO IS COMPLETELY NAKED. - 70% of the female NPCs that we meet are chicks in a bikini, completely stupefied by some asshole of some alpha male, they have the IQ of a tree and it is not even uncommon for the bra to fall off. - Almost all the secondary characters are men, with a few exceptions (Big mom, Alvida and the Kuja) all the pirates are men, and for the other female characters that we see, refer to the previous remark. - Women in general are few in number and hypersexualized
Your opinion of One Piece women is far from the truth, you seriouly think they are weak and stupid? most female characters in One piece are amazingly written, many sexualized yes but so are the male characters too, just look at Zoro and tell he is not being sexualized? Franky is also showing his private parts at multible times and wearing speedos all the time with an open chest. Some females are actually very strong and most alot more intelligent than male charachters so your idea of One Piece women being stupid goes out the window. Kalifa is intelligent and strong, Nami is intelligent, she aint weak but lack fighting experience therefore at least use a weapon that works for her, she fight and also win fights in a badass style. Robin is intelligent and strong, yes Luffy is stronger than most of them but you can't compare anyone to the MC or monster trio especially not those who have no DF powers or don't have haki. If you get so triggered by nudity your just a weak minded sexist who can't see the characters for who they are and only focus on the body as if some womans boobs is a problem. The fan service aint bad, not really since the female characters does have importance and are useful, this is something other shonen animies always fail with, their female characters are always useless or weak, not Nami, not Robin they are great. Hancock is amazing too and she is the strongest warlord next to Mihawk, that deserve some credit. Even Rebecca is not weak she just don't like fighting and have no powers either, she defeated almost all her enemies at the ring. Monet was not weak either but not the strongest. Shirahoshi is a powerful weapon so even if she is a weak crybaby she is a 16 year old who never been outside her palace, still she is one of the most powerful female characters for being Poseidon. Vivi is also pretty strong for not having powers, she could atleast fight normal humans and win over most male characters without powers, just not monsters. Vivi is also brave and smart. Also stop insulting Boa she is the BEST!
Sabo makes me angry too!! Especially when people say that he's gonna be the one to fight Akainu or something like that. I mean...he was a good character in the flashback when they were children and I did like him, I just think he should have stayed dead. The whole amnesiac long lost brother and coming back from the dead thing very much reminds me of mexican telenovelas for some reason. Never mind the fact that he's pretty much a poor substitute for Ace and not much more. He hasn't really spend any time with Luffy or really actually knows him, since he was only with him for a very limited period of time, in contrast to Ace spending seven years taking care of Luffy. The way they always make Sabo conjure Ace's spirit or something like that frustates me for that reason.
Tbf if Sabo died back then he'd be a pointless charcater. It'd basically be "Did you know Luffy had a second brother? But he died and has no relevance to the story."
@@randomduck8679 Actually no, it would make the Ace' death impact even stronger since Luffy by that time had already lost a brother and this time in Marineford he loses his last brother which makes it even sadder.
Agreed on the Haki thing. we need to see some pure devil fruit users completely dominate haki uses/haki devil fruit users without using haki at all. That might fix that whole issue.
Imagine them playing the very first opening and ending songs at the end of the series, my heart will sink deeper than Merry did. "We Are" on Vivi's farewell and "Memories" at WCI were already too much for me to handle.
I sometime feel like Kuina faked her own death to run away(just cus it still feels extremely dumb idk y) and is now extremely strong but on the antagonist's team somewhere and zoro gotta defeat her in a final emotional duel.
i really hope in the future, once one piece is finished and the anime is no longer intentionally delaying itself behind the manga, someone can do a fan remake of the anime. cut out unnecessary reactions, duplicated flashbacks, and filler bits. turn up the playback speed on some of the combat, especially bounce mans punches, and cut it together without openings, commercial transitions, and recaps into a beast of an anime with the actual intended pacing
Oda's female designs are seriously one of the things i dislike the most about the series. It just makes me feel weird for reading this story in the first place. Like, why does he want me to go wild for these out of proportion tits? I don't wanna be a creep, but some panels in the manga definitely go "no you WILL be an awful creep and that's that" Just makes me feel like the story isn't for me. And i know plenty of people who maybe aren't as used to anime bullshit, would enjoy this story but get absolutely turned off of it by this stuff and I can't blame them.
Instead of bounty hunters, I think the Revolution ARMY could have played bigger roles in the story. You would think they would have geared up during the war and help destroy Marineford. Also I would think they would have more key players capable of competing with an Admiral or Shichibukai.
They will make a brutal strike that will take down the world government and bring justice and peace to all of the One Piece world, right after Luffy becomes Pirate King.
On the point of bounties, I would only throw out there that the people who could cash the bounties in excess of 500 mil would also be people who had 500 mill bounties on their own head. There is basically a diminishing chance of bounty hunting in the high echelons of the pirating world because to be a threat to the world gov, you have to have some kind of sway or power that becomes hard to match. Which is why we see hunters in East Blue but not in the Grand Line. Probably the only person who could have done it well is Mihawk, but he is too bored to bother raking in the berries.
What about how the characters only spend around a day (manga time) on each island. An entire arc covered in like a day? Not believable. Or the fact they sailed through half the grand line in 4 months, with Luffy conquering it at 17, and now conquering the next half at 19 while every single other great character took decades. Even Gold Roger was in his mid 40s or so when he traveled the whole grand line
i mean luffy had a harsh past and training so that he could defeat a warlord soon, besides he still has to pay for his progress with his life span so ig it works somehow
well it does make sense that they would be faster than Roger,it is different era,in Rogers time most of new world was unexplored maybe they didn't even have log pose back then to lead them from island to island. Not that much faster but still faster.
Really liked this video, fealt like a return to an older format. I especially missed the subscribe games (even though you started them after I had already subscribed). Thanks for the video.
on death, my issue is how they fight the enemies, the enemies that have killed thousands, and then they just leave them there, without any explanation, or reason most the strawhats get pushed to the side cause they only have like 3 moments to shine (robin, franky, chopper), the anime cuts up 2 episodes of content into 50 with filler plots, the shadows are abysmal, and from 200-900 its where they only put effort into the graphics if its an important scene, bad shading otherwise (anime only issue ofc), armament haki is very confusing, as its apparently hard enough to block most incoming damage, but you can move your limbs freely, its not really stated as to how, and its really inconsistent, everything in the last 800 episodes is countable in things that happened per 100 episodes, compared to early one piece where it was 10 arcs per 100 episodes, villains are strong enough to challenge luffy but after the fight they are nothing but comedic relief, or if they join the strawhats they are severely nerfed, the worldbuilding is good enough to make many fangames based off of it, but not consistent enough compared to the actual show, it just feels kinda like a letdown compared to its potential, and thats my biggest issue, the one piece anime is partially wasted potential
One thing that makes me angry about one piece is all the strong villains. I feel like id be PINNED by any of them in a second.
Damn this was a great pun.
Aiio when will this pin thing stop lmao

Clever
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that bounties are seemingly pointless.
More bounty hunters in the series could really spice things up a bit

The anime should've waited 10 years before starting so we could've avoided this pacing issue.
Or release an episode every 2 weeks.
@@obinator9065 Imagine how the quality would go up with that schedule too!! Spending two weeks budget on one episode would definitely make a difference.
They should just follow the Hero Academia approach. Do seasons instead of being on year-round.
Can anyone explain what this "pacing" means?
I really wish they were on their ship doing pirate stuff together more often.

You mean dogstorm and catviper
Theres certain things with pacing i can excuse where the artificial extension sort of fits, like running scenes or some reaction shots. But extending clashes really takes away from the weight and force of attacks
my personal issue is the introduction of atleast 20 new *important* characters in every arc and focusing in putting them into the most important moments instead of the strawhats whom i feel like are background characters at this point
also the underutilization of franky. i think most pf the time, they don't even consider the fact that he's actually a smart engineer and can make their situations a lot easier. he's also very forgettable now (hopefully he gets a spotlight when vegapunk appears) and i blame it on his post timeskip design lol

- Roronoa Zoro
- Yosaku and Johnny
- Baroque Works Billions
- Franky Family
- Jean Ango in the Colosseum
Which is at least two for each sea, so will we get a last super strong bounty hunter before the end of One Piece?
What would corroborate that is the fact that in some translations Zoro is called cactus head, Barock Works bounty hunters were on cactus Island and Jean Ango was wearing a cactus on his hat.

(And while Toei might not do that in fear that the ratings will be bad for filler arcs, I bet many fans would eat them right up if they actually illustrated some official aspects that Oda once said; or even inofficial ones that explored the Islands or people the Straw Hats are on.)
movie 4
Vergo should've been in Trebol's position. He's not an annoying character, his dutiful and loyal attitude make him the perfect righthand, dope character design, heavily combative and seeing the relationship between Doffy and Vergo expanded more would've been interesting.
But Trebol wouldn't have made a good marine infiltrate, would he ? :)

To be fair, if you removed the completely filler episodes, you could remove around 100 episodes.
Why would you feel uncomfortable that manga chapters and anime episodes are one together that s stupid
you forgot that black beard became a bounty hunter for a very very brief period of time.

Hey, that was pretty good.
2:27 Honestly I feel like chopper has been quietly collecting W after W in the New World Era. Let’s look at his accomplishments.
Fishman Island: Although the Sanji gag was annoying Dr. Chopper and his medical skills were the introduction of the blood transfusion plot point. Not to mention his mastery of monster point post time skip
Punk Hazard: while not being given a proper fight punk hazard served as a point of emotional development.
Wano: ~spoilers for anime only~
Chopper may not have had a large role to the first half of this Mega arc and that’s completely reasonable.

While I'll agree Sabo is kind of fanficky, Ace is even more of a fanfiction character if you think about it. "I'm Luffy's (up until now) unrevealed big brother, I'm way more handsome looking and cooler than he is, I'm a Commander in one of the four most dangerous pirate crews despite only being 20, I am a Logia fruit user back in the days when Logia Devil Fruits were pretty much invincible, and I am the son of the Pirate King Luffy aspires to be." I like both of them, but that is some fanficky shenanigans there
With the difference that a fan wouldnt have that fanfic die the next time he's playing an active role
Hot take: We need MORE Chopper. I actually fully agree with exactly what he said.

Lmfao the no. 7 power scaling with yonko commander lvl thingy is so realistic it's sad 😢🤣
I love how, shanks, dragon, teach, roger, mihawk, Gorosei, Rocks, joy boy, are still unknown characters for 20 years!
i love how there’s a whole section of this video dedicated to Trebol 😭
Regarding the "make your own manga" statement, sometimes content creators get way way above of themselves so far as to see their success on any platform beyond the work of the autor and that is really toxic and diminishing.

I hate the ticking clock in One Piece. It never works, it's always something like destroying the entire island, and it never creates tension. No, the sky island isn't going to be destroyed, no one is going to die, and I'm tired of the repeated shots for the ticking clock mechanism.

As an anime watcher, oh how I’m trying my hardest to hold back my own anger. Manga readers acting like celestial dragons and many other stereotypical manga vs anime stuff.
It's easily the worst part of the OP fandom by far!!!
If you read the manga and then watch it animated you'll know how bad pacing is like 6 panels=1 ep
@@yugominier4452 I get what you’re saying, currently roof piece takes so long and they stretch it out so much. Like we have flashbacks to something that happened in the same freaking episode.
The whole Haki > Everything actually remains me a lot of competive games such as Yu-Gi-Oh at low levels of play your going to see a wider varity of decks, at higher levels your generally go to see the fewer decks, and your going to see them a lot, because they're just better.
For me, One Piece has 3 major issues, ranked in ascending order of impotence:
PROBLEM N ° 3: A lack of stakes
Oda refuses to kill his characters, or kill them as little as possible.
PROBLEM N ° 2: A universe too Manichean
The characters are too embedded in a role and lack ambiguity. Fragile princess falls in love with Kyros, strong and brave, and examples like that are in abundance
PROBLEM N ° 1: The status of women.
Woman is an object of desire without a brain and they are clearly under-represented in this work:
- 10 Mugiwaras, 2 women.
- Women in general are few in number and hypersexualized
you are🤡 for writing this much paragraph

So.... Exactly what One Pace does.....
Oda's female designs are seriously one of the things i dislike the most about the series. It just makes me feel weird for reading this story in the first place. Like, why does he want me to go wild for these out of proportion tits? I don't wanna be a creep, but some panels in the manga definitely go "no you WILL be an awful creep and that's that"
Just makes me feel like the story isn't for me.
I'm pretty sure all the commanders of the revolutionary army, are stronger than most shichibukai
Sabo and dragon are also at admiral level.
I mean that's just a shonen thing and also,
OP in not about been realistic.
But ofcorse it can be criticized
i mean luffy had a harsh past and training so that he could defeat a warlord soon, besides he still has to pay for his progress with his life span so ig it works somehow

on death, my issue is how they fight the enemies, the enemies that have killed thousands, and then they just leave them there, without any explanation, or reason
most the strawhats get pushed to the side cause they only have like 3 moments to shine (robin, franky, chopper), the anime cuts up 2 episodes of content into 50 with filler plots, the shadows are abysmal, and from 200-900 its where they only put effort into the graphics if its an important scene, bad shading otherwise (anime only issue ofc), armament haki is very confusing, as its apparently hard enough to block most incoming damage, but you can move your limbs freely, its not really stated as to how, and its really inconsistent, everything in the last 800 episodes is countable in things that happened per 100 episodes, compared to early one piece where it was 10 arcs per 100 episodes, villains are strong enough to challenge luffy but after the fight they are nothing but comedic relief, or if they join the strawhats they are severely nerfed, the worldbuilding is good enough to make many fangames based off of it, but not consistent enough compared to the actual show, it just feels kinda like a letdown compared to its potential, and thats my biggest issue, the one piece anime is partially wasted potential
