Here's my heavily customised, converted, Gundam Astray; some parts aren't from any model in any line oh, and I covered its weapons in something that allows it to interfere with the particles that make the mobile suits move (that somehow isnt cheating). 'Here's my Tall Geese. It's green.'
How would they stop the kid, though? The toys just move because of the parcticles. In real life this shit would flip the meta upside-down and a whole new horizon would open (and therror and fear would get into the hearts of those who enjoy the old style). It's a miracle that this kid didn't fuck up the whole tournament, that's the true power of plot convenience. And let's just remember that EVERYONE does those special customizations to their Gunpla, so it's on a really grey area.
I don’t get it why only use Mega Cannon from the Tallgeese III, but not equip any of the melee options that come with it such as the Heat Rod. Damn plot armor ruined one of my favorite mobile suits.
The heat rod is not even a practical weapon against a mobile opponent like the Astray. Especially with how it was used in the series. It was more like an anti infantry weapon than a 1v1 weapon. It was near useless against Wing Zero in a beam saber duel, and that was with Zechs in the cockpit.
@KorgCrimson the heat rod would have made more sense though ,plus the tall geese being used here is based off the og tall geese of Gundam wing it's not even the upgraded version like zex had ,but in this case the pilot sucks as well.
Bro hits me with "why do you keep fighting even though you'll lose?" Line im also going to keep throwing hands till I physically can't anymore. I always hated lines like that.
Tallgeese 1 base system with additional thrusters in the pack to increase its speed, plus Tallgeese 3's Megacannon. With the extra power, I would have considered adding 3's Shield with the Epyon-style heat whip.
Before now, I had never seen a gundam fight scene which had any admirable qualities in its direction or design This trend continues unchallenged upon seeing this scene
The kid's just using the very thing that makes the toys move. It's a actually really clever move in terms of metagame and writing, but I get that it really isn't anything near regular Gundam... and never cared about it too, thankfully. It's even less absurd than G Gundam (best Gundam BTW) if you consider that it's just a modification to the toy, like what everyone else does on the setting, but secretly OP AF. And honestly, after playing Armored Core, every Gundam design seems as fantasy-like as a Getter (no offense).
@@alvinbonny1562 It's actually Gundam Build Fighters and it's not SAO (thank god). It's a series where people contro Gunpla (the series' model kit line) throught some cybernetic arenas using some alien parcticles. Think Duelist Island Yugi-Oh, but you're using Gunpla instead.
People on comments criticizing the "realism" of the fight... when the real criticism should be: "How did this kid not break the whole meta with this secretly OP build being broadcast?!"
The meta was slowly shifting as it was with people like Nils. Even Sekai was slowly going in this direction. The reason the meta didn't break overnight is well established norms were in place regarding building and customizing. Special coatings, modified weapons and parts, and mechanical intricacies of the suits themselves were in focus. What Nils did was essentially go a route *nobody had thought of besides himself at the time.* He was using the underlying mechanics, which takes knowhow on the particles and inner workings of the battle system, to do something that normally would not even be considered. Even after this event, most pilots are not doing it, only named characters, essentially. Fast-forward to Try, and it's a little more widespread. Series past that also made it more and more widespread. The meta did not break immediately because the base mechanics at play take time to pick apart, and most people in the hobby at the time were of an older generation, like Greco. It'd be the newer generation that'd make this work.
nah, there is no realism. Because if it was, then: money = meta win. pay-to-win always wins in games. The more money you have the more meta you become.
It was actually quite coherent on the context of the show. They're using toys to fight, toys that are controlled by a mysterious parcticle called "Plasvic Parcticle" and the kid is using a build totally focused on Plasvic Techniches and manipulation. It was supposed to be the "secretly OP build character" moment... and it did quite well on the context of the show.
Honestly here's my gripe ,your fighting an astray Gundam and your using a tall geese,NO TALL GEESE has EVER beaten a serious Gundam pilot ,atleast use something that has transam or some form of high speed attack ,your using a particle cannon and a beam saber ,relics from a bygone era . It actually makes sense with context. Because the guy using those air slashes are actually manipulating the particles that make the gunpla move and making them a weapon if I remember correctly. Plus build fighters is actually more like a game than an actual real fight unlike other iterations of Gundam.

What's the point of operating a Tallgeese Sniper if you don't take advantage of its murderous acceleration to kite your target?
Looks like the Astray's got that long range down.
His biggest mistake was assuming those Katanas are the only weapon the Astray uses when in reality is that he's just as capable with his hands.
His biggest mistake was not trying to reposition and shoot still with no advantage angle or position.
A disservice to the goat.
