I really enjoyed build the Astray as one of my second MG after the Dynamos. The only problem I had was, when the joint where the the leg connects to the hip snapped T_T. Looked for a replacement part. I was able to find someone doing metal modes for that specific joint on Ebay. I guess its a common break. If you like to pose you gunpla just be careful with the Astray.
There's another feature in the Tactical Arms not mentioned in the instructions. If you pull the big blade parts off (carefully, don't break anything), they have a flip-out peg and handle at the bottom. The peg fits in the back of the forearm, and the handle will fit perfectly in the hand, making big tonfa/katar weapons. The runners also had a pair of leftover knives from the Blue Frame. Because this thing needed more blades, of course.
Also to note, the runners include the parts to make the blue frame's tactical arms as well, so you have the choice of the gun barrels and normal handle if you so desire.
This was my first MG kit, after watching many of your reviews on other versions of the Red Frame Astrays, so thank you! Happy you got around to a review on it

You can actually attach the Tactical Arms' blades onto the forearms of the ARF, just like how it's done with the ABF Second Revise's Sword Arm mode (minus the pink beam blade effect part, that is).

Hey mecha! Thank you for a bunch of astray reviews. I have astray turn red, bought it on 2018 but never have a chance to build it until this day. Thank you for reviewing a lot of astrays so i could know how the finished kit look like!
All the parts to make the blue frames tactical arms come with the red frame kai so you can make it. Also if you detach the two blade sections of the tactical arms there is a flip out peg at the end so you can mount the blades directly onto the red frames arms, this was a feature of the blue frame and it came with beam effect parts for it

The pegs in the legs is probably an inspiration from how katanas are made. If I'm not mistaken, there is a peg that holds the katana's blade and the wooden handle together
I found out that panel-lining the gold parts and cleaning them by rubbing a finger on it makes them look WAY better and a lot less cheap ('quite like the painted version) ! Also it makes the sculpting pop more. You also forgot to mention that the extending part of the Action Base is specific to this kit and longer than the one that comes with the usual AB (the standard one is also included).
