Let's hope TH-cam doesn't flag this one. And remember: If you've turned on notificaitions or subscriptions and don't see my video in there (at least after an hour or so), report the bug to youtube to fix it. They'll listen to you more than they'll listen to me.
Anyway, thanks for standing by me. This would never have gotten done without all of you supporting me.
Break out the champagne, we've succeeded.

The acetone contamination more than likely is from the nmr tube. Acetone is commonly used to clean the tubes and to get rid of all traces usually requires vacuum and IR lamp.

Like +Charles Augustus said I think you should publish this in a science journal. You have proven that synthesis method and that it can be acomplished in an relatively amateur lab. Moreso you actually have video evidence on how to synthesize it from the beggining to end. This is one of the greatest achievements, if not *the* greatest achievement in amateur chemistry. I've been following your channel since the fairly early days (the lithium from alkaline batteries video in 2009) and I thought the glow in the dark powder or the luminol were a lot of work, but this is truly a Herculean effort. The fact that you were able to stick it to Martin Shrekli and raise awareness about skyrocketing prescription drug prices--all while only using domestically available sources instead of lab grade reagents--only adds to this achievement, not to mention developing a way to make sodium metal domestically without electrolysis (which you stumbled on by accident). It was an honour to be on this two year rollercoaster with you, and you should be immensely proud of your accomplishments. Congratulations

*Congratulations!* You are awesome. This was a massive undertaking. Even relatively simple procedures, with a couple of steps, are major undertakings when you must also synthesise many or almost all of the precursors, as you did by necessity. And this was not _that_ simple even _if_ you had the precursors. So, well done! What an excellent series. This will serve as inspiration for many a beginner chemist, I'm sure 😁

Congratulations for your achievements! You have been so inspiring to me that I have started to study chemistry in university :) Because chemicals here in EU regions are very controlled, it's hard to get anything like you have "as a easily available domestic chemical" and because of that, being amateur chemist in EU region is pretty hard. So it's nice to see real chemical syntheses and experimentations.

Thank you for your persistence. The real achievements in life aren't always immediate. Bringing a task to completion (goal achieved or not) generally will reveal benefits that exceed expectation. ...........It's all about the journey.
